Got a roll of walkers recently and got a pic of all my half dollars, some of my faves! The 40% Kennedys are particularly special as I found them coin roll hunting.
Ive been stacking silver but these pre-33 designs all caught my eye, so i made my first ever gold purchase this week in the form of a 2.50$ indian head. Its a beauty, definitely want more!
My LCS keeps a bunch of "mild toners" (their words) in the register to give as change, got these today which look really lovely under the light, and are much better looking in person!
My bank rarely has halves so when they said they had 5 rolls I snagged them, and found some 40%! Was a heck of a feeling finding some in the wild for the first time.
A while back i was putting some monopose marines in the slicer and thought "why not scale this up by 300%?", so i did. Finally got around to finishing it today. Normal size marine for scale.
Not quite a tactical squad, still need to paint up my heavy bolter and melta guys.

Ive been watching this sub for a while and it seemed like a lot of fun, on my way home from work I grabbed 5 rolls of quarters just for the fun of it and pulled a Maine proof and a Bicentennial! Put them in holders just because.
Thought I found silver several times but unfortunately was fooled by some Canadian quarters (none pre-68).
Will probably do this again soon, cheers everyone!
Just curious as to how people are storing their junk silver. I originally got a bunch of these in stapled flips but they took up alot of space, so I ended up taking them out. No key dates or anything in amazing condition so I figured a tin would be okay. Easier to play with now too, I need to hear that jingle jangle sometimes!
Found some extra silver bits in the foreign coin jar, a Yemeni piece that should be 72% silver, the half crown to the right of it is 50% silver and the Canadian quarters are 90%. Thanks gramps, this was a nice pile to get from my dad today.

Im still new to the world of coins/currency, ive never seen one of these before! Was a very nice gesture by the shop owner who i dealt with. Ill have to do some research on these.
Trying to get a little variety going, though ive found i have a fondness for ASEs and walking liberty halves for reasons I can't quite explain. Gonna slow down and see where things go, if spot hits 50ish ill start buying more. Stack on!
Been lurking here for a while, stopped by a local shop for the first time and picked these up this weekend. Gonna try to get an ounce or two every paycheck. Having fun with it so far!
I originally felt like it was too late to get started with silver/gold, but the other day I saw someone in this sub say something like "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now" in regards to collecting metals and it spurred me into getting started.
