What media gives you the strength to keep going?

I live in the midlands but happy to drive and train anywhere in the UK, even considering getting the ferry to NIreland but the ferry is 15X more than a plane. I just want to a nice view and to get away from it all - been to York, Edinburgh, Anglesey, Cornwall. Some sheep would be nice
: I am taking in these suggestions and looking then up thankyou
I've just turned 30 and dealing with the woes of ageing but I've been finding a lot of comfort in darker media. I've also been a professional artist but been on a break for about a year - I got so sick and tired of the way art world operates and how recent media is reigned in for social media consumption.
Vermis has been a remedy for me for feeling connected with art and printed media again - it truly might be the best illustrations I've ever seen in my life and filled me with motivation to return to my own practice. I learned of the book years ago from Super Eyepatch Wolf but holding the book in my hands (and smelling it) has been so immersive.
The biggest thing its reaffirmed for me is making work for smaller audiences - making art that appeals to 'everyone' does fuck all and waters down any personal identity. After slowly taking in the 1st book and being blown away in the execution of its own niche concept I've just gone to order the next two volumes and prepared to be a fan of Plastaboo for life.
Thank you
What do you think was going through Paulie's mind as he sitting outside the butchers rejecting Tony's offer? He worked with his dad and Tony his entire life and had this twitch about him that he wanted to retire
Why did AJ go from Anti-War to joining the military in a few days? Also as Tony says first he wanted to be a helicopter pilot and now hes learning Arabic. Is AJ manic / bipolar? Seems to mirror tony coming out the hospital and having a fresh take on life but AJ's revelation doesn't come until the Hummer burns down
Anyway the show changed my life, what an ending
This is the most naive way I could ask for advice but just dabbling my toes in gamedev in Godot after being a professional visual artist (illustrator, painter, 3d modelling). My issue is I don't have software to create vector graphics I almost exclusively use Photoshop, I've tried alternatives but this is just my cleanest best work.
Now, having raster graphics - how exactly does that work for 2d games that scale resolution? Do I need to provide assets in several scales? Would learning to create svgs in illustrator solve this problem?
Im eager to push the boat out but this is causing anxiety before even starting and would love to hear from you please
I think I glazed over seeing another roguelite card battler in the steam store and wouldn't have returned to it without Woolie pointing out its a single player adventure game. Beautiful art and soundtrack and deserves some more love - its also included in Gamepass!
Just beat the first zone and I'm excited to see whats next
I've got this memory of waking up to a clicking noise
I’d never heard this noise before, and I’m only about 8 years old.
Click click click
It was my window, I thought it could have been a bird?
It was my older cousin throwing rocks at the glass trying to wake me up
I don’t remember if he was there to look after me or there just to play
But I got a Gamecube that summer and he wanted to play it too -
He had just been to the city and brought some games for a Playstation I didn’t have
So we got the idea to ride his bike to his house and game all day
We packed up the gamecube into a sports bag and I stood on the stunt pegs of his bike
As soon as we left the house it started to rain and he was worried I’d slip off the back
‘Hold on tight I’m going to go as fast as I can’, It started to pour it down with rain
And I’m on the back screaming and laughing as we go through the puddles
When we got there we played games until I fell asleep on the bedroom floor
Vids been up for 2 days at 90 views and when it got posted had several people leave some really supportive and positive comments. I was happy with that, I'm glad the effort put in was appreciated but now to see the vid die off is just rocking me in a way that's really ... Upsetting? It seems like YouTube was recommending the video to a totally unrelated audience (was a video essay and got pushed to dog owners??)
Idk I just need to vent I'm upset with that outcome - I was trying to keep a 'lets make this better than the last' mentality and this has been way under the usual result
Drayano please release crystal aurora so I can get the runback. I made this as a tribute to Nuzlockes
I don't know anything about relinking media - its all there on my ssd IDK why its done this - I'm doing a huge sigh rn.
EDIT: Wait wtf my T drive isnt connected! oh my god please dont be broke - yep after checking seems like I'm fuuuuuucked but I'll see if I can save anything tomorrow morning.
