So just wanted to give a heads up to anyone or to see if anyone has been having the same issue. In the last two weeks I've had my e-bike stolen from the back yard and last week the thief came back for a separate bike charger while leaving the bike that was locked up. One of my roommates caught the thief in the back yard between the two thefts. We also have him on camera but the footage isn't very good. He's what I like to call a hunchback fetty head you would typically see down on coral St. I know that doesn't really narrow it down much but I used to be out on the streets selling drugs and I do know most of these guys do not have the motivation to travel that far coral st or the levy unless they are on the hunt. I saw the guys outside my house the day before the second theft happen but my roommate didn't think it was information anyone needed to know about until after the theft. Just wanted to give out a warning I suppose (like it will do any good..)

So I'm thinking about starting to invest a small amount of my minimum wage check and was thinking of putting some money into Micron and Nvidia every two weeks. I had some Amazon stock in my cash app I forgot about and wasn't really impressed with what happened with it considering I forgot about it for two years. I'm new here so I apologize if this isn't what this sub is about but I would appreciate any opinions on my choices or some other recommendations.

I recently bought the 15r a few weeks before OnePlus decided to pull out of the US. I love the phone just wish I would've gotten the 15. My logic was to use the 15r until the 16 was released. Anyways, I'm loving the supervooc but now that they are not selling the charger on there website I had a few thoughts. First is the c - c supervooc any better then the one out the box? Also which charger to get if this one ever takes a shit on me? I'm thinking of purchasing a replacement cord or two while they have it stocked because cords never last very long compared to the plug.

So I have the Lectric XP Lite I bought if my buddy. It has less then 200 miles on it but a while ago I got hit by a car and the latch hit got bent which I was able to have sent but have yet to replacing just using a clamp to hold the frame shut. Everything was working great until after riding it today and after 10 mins it decided it didn't want to turn on. I called customer support and after some detective work we decided I probably need a new battery. They have it on sale right now for $250.

My room mate offered to sell me his Rad Power Bikes RadCity 5 Plus. He bought it used I haven't looked how many miles are on it and it's just been sitting back there collecting dust for months. He said he will sell it to me for $300. It's obviously a better bike and with the car accident I'm not sure if replacing the battery on the XP is just going to keep having issues down the road. I mean it looked like the latch was the only thing that had any issue besides some scratches on the paint but who knows.

What would be the better play here?

Tl:dr: I have the choice of purchasing a replacement battery for the XP Lite or the Rad bike for $50 more.

So I just upgraded from my Moto G 2026 and I never understood why they had the fake leather on the back of the phone. I thought it was just because it was a cheap low end phone. I upgraded to the OnePlus 15r two weeks ago and wow what a difference in hand feel. I sometimes take it out of the case just to hold it in my hand. I spent about a month looking at different phones before I bought the OnePlus. With Motorola recently releasing their new flagship models, I was checking them out, but they all still have that fake leather. I don't understand why they would do this. It just doesn't have the premium feel of what I would expect from a flagship phone. Do people who have these phones enjoy/prefer the build over metal/glass combo?

tl/dr: why does moto make all there phones with cheap fake leather instead of metal/glass?

I just got the OnePlus 15r a few days ago and about once a day it switches out of dark mode and I have to go back into settings and change it back. How can I stop this from happening?

So I just bought an unlocked phone and I was thinking of switching over to Mint Mobile just because of how cheap it is but I don't want to end up having spotty service. The website says I would have full 4g coverage when I put my IMEI in but it doesn't show 5g coverage like they do 4g. Just wondering if anyone has any insights into this before I make the switch.

I'm about to leave my job at the boardwalk and they give out 10 wrist bands to employees to use during the season. I haven't used any. So if anyone would be interested in some let me know thru DM.

EDIT: So it's a blackout weekend and they are not allowing me to get any wrist bands til Monday. I wasn't aware of this when originally making this post.

After being on the fence for two weeks and trying to decide what one to buy I decided I didn't have the money for the 15 and for the 15r ordered today. I purchased the case thru the OnePlus website but they have no screen protector. I keep seeing people saying the ones they try are sub-par and don't work well with the finger print unlock. I'm upgrading from a moto g 2026 so obviously this will be a big upgrade and I would love to be able to not have to sacrifice this feature for the protection. Can anyone recommend a screen protector that works for them please.

Also did I make the right decision on this phone? I almost bought the Pixel 10 pro but the phone was so small and the Tensor5 seemed so lack luster even compared to the 15r chip but even though I don't use my camera on the moto much I am hoping I don't miss out on the 100x zoom as I remember having fun with it on my s22 ultra and it was fun to play with the pixel in best buy the other day. I took a lot of brain Olympics to convince myself to buy this phone even though I probably can't afford it and just want to not regret it down the road.

So I have been in the fence of buying a new one for about 2 weeks now. I kept bouncing back from the Pixel 10 pro and the OnePlus 15. I decided I didn't have the extra money for the 15 unfortunately so I bought the 15r. I keep seeing that the screen protector selection on this phone isn't very good and many have issues with the finger print unlock. So does anyone have any good recommendations so I can order have waiting for when OnePlus sends me my new phone?

So I was hit by a car yesterday and the latch on the frame isn't sitting flush anymore. It still locks and I was able to get to work today fine but online says I shouldn't be riding it at all until it's fixed. I went to the website to see how much a new latch would cost but couldn't find anything besides having to contact the customer service. I know the warranty isn't valid now that I'm the second owner and there's no way to get the receipt from the original purchase. Will they still send/sell me a latch or will I have to go to a secondary vendor for the parts? Thank you.

Edit: contacted CS and was told they had to make a report on the accident for there records and set up a line I can text directly and said that I will receive an email in two days to figure out next steps on the replacement. The latch closed enough to get to work and back at one point opened enough that the bike wasn't getting any charge but only lasted for a few seconds. I might take to a store and see if they can just adjust it before I do a full replacement in the mean time.

So I was just hit by a car today on my xp mini and now the latch doesn't sit flush on the frame. I'm trying to see if Lectric will send me a new/sell me a new latch even though I'm not the original owner?

This morning my roommate who is close to 60 years old starts telling me how he found a new job as a 'kinda like a secret shopper' and begins to explain to me how they sent him a $1400 check and want 2 $500 apple gift cards.

I immediately cut him off and tell him this is a scam. He tells me there's no way because the check is from JP Morgan and it's legit. I know I'm not going to convince him before he gets himself into a $1400 problem. I sent him a screen shot explaining the scam and how it works and warning signs to look out for but I just know in the near future I'll either never hear about it again because he feels stupid or worse I'll have to listen to him as he unravels after figuring out he was played.
