PSA about lighting players

I have had 8 different moths approach me in the Days of Sun area, light me and point to benches just to beg for hearts and IAPs. I have grown tired of it and now just do not light people there. I know several people who have started doing the same.

PSA. If you see someone refusing to light you, no matter where, do not actively go out of your way to follow them and "accidentally" light them when they pull their candle out for any reason.

PSA 2. Even if you unfriend someone they can still teleport to you. I now have 6 months I befriended who stalk me because I'm wearing the sword pants, meteor belt cape, Rhythm guitar and the current seasons hair.. From now on I will resort to blocking rather than unfriending. I will not go up to them to block them, and I've contacted support and they said there's nothing they can do. I've had players say to stop "flaunting" my IAPs and "rare items" and it won't happen as often.

Either way if someone's avoiding people don't torment them. This should be a given. I will friend people anywhere but the Days of and Event areas because this is downright ridiculous.

About the tea set ult

So as a longtime player I have quite a few moments of experiencing the Mandela effect, if you will. (Almost thought hitting your head and losing WL was one because I swear nobody remembers it, but that's a story for another time) So I've gotta ask this outright because I never bought any of the other tea/picnic set props.

Has it always been you cannot START having messages go thru to unfriended players till you sip from the teacups? I had just set it up because I got it today and was a bit confused till I picked up the teacup and all the messages were then legible. 🫪

Also what are y'all's thoughts on the mechanic, whether it's new or not? I think it's kinda cute, but could definitely be a bit confusing to those who don't interact with these items often (like myself ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ◍))

Days of Sun Fit Check!

I know I'm early but anyways-

I feel like the Days of Nature items always go so well with Days of Sun vibes. Plus this shawl from this season just ties it all together so nicely!!

Are y'all dressing up for Days of Sun? If so what are you wearing? (ᵔᗜᵔ◍)

If you ever see me online but I don't respond, this is why ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ◍)

My son likes the guitar. Literally his favorite thing about this game other than relaxing while I CR.

Also sorry if this is the wrong flair, I don't know what this would properly fall under

*Don't mind the Cyberpunk noises in the background. My husband is playing Cyberpunk and refuses to fast travel so he's just dashing everywhere-*

Over 600 MB of Nand

Hey guys I just wanted to ask if there's literally anything I can do to start cleaning out unnecessary Nand. Most of this is from games I had deleted and didn't realize the Nand wouldn't be deleted with it. Now I have literally no games and all this Nand, but I haven't wanted to touch it because I don't know how to differentiate what I need and don't need. Any advice?

About Dear Van Gogh

I loved it. Do not get me wrong. The emotions conveyed, the portrayal of the story, the gameplay pieces, loved it. Felt like walking through a museum with a guide who was telling his story. Just two minor issues I have, one of which I've had since they showed the cosmetics.

1, the ultimate cape and hair. These are based on a gift he made for his nephew, the Almond Blossom painting. It could just be me, but it almost feels wrong being able to wear them? This was one of the very few paintings he ever made that was specifically a gift. I get it's quite iconic, but in my eyes it just feels off

2, I somewhat hate the fact they made it look set in stone he took his life. Yes he was battling with mental issues. Anyone who knows anything about Van Gogh would know this, but the fact that there was not even a hint at the other possible cause of death is a little disheartening.

Other than this I genuinely, wholeheartedly loved this season. I played through it IMMEDIATELY, and am debating getting every IAP (just need to calculate finances) I just needed to put this out there.

Recently diagnosed (2023) and realized a correlation between salt and symptoms

So all my life I've been severely underweight until senior year when I gained quite a bit due to antidepressants and antipsychotics. This was also the year I finally tried advocating for all the problems I've had to my parents. The first (and only) thing they did was take me for blood testing. After that, it was just "drink water" and "lose weight". After I moved out I was diagnosed within about 4 months of seeing my new doctor.

After receiving the diagnosis I started seeing people on social media talking about their own experiences with it, and noticed a lot of people saying salt was their best friend.

Then something clicked and I need to know if anyone else experiences this flip in extremes like this:

I will feel drained, dizzy, floaty, faint, my eyes will sink in a bit and I'll have dark bags under my eyes. I won't know why it starts, but I usually ended up coping previously until I was allowed to eat, which I'd then go straight for instant ramen or pickles. Now I just go straight for them when I realize the symptoms getting a little overwhelming. Roughly 10 minutes after eating I feel alive again. The only way I can describe it would be like watching a toy with dead batteries trying to sing and dance but it's all distorted and slow, then changing the batteries and it's back to being bright and lively again. Am I the only one? I can't be, surely.

I mentioned this to my doctor at one point and she looked scared but wouldn't tell me why 😭

To those of you who feel the need to fill every space to keep your island pristine

If you are like myself and feel the need to fill every square on the island so that you don't end up with fossils, weeds, flowers and so on ruining the look, but you hate the maximalist feel (or the lag that comes with a cluttered island) then lay down blank, transparent designs in every grass space you want left open. Why didn't I think of this before? How many people have gate kept this knowledge? Am I just not caught up in this game? Am I slow? 😂 Who knows. Happy decorating folks

Just Remodeled Sasha's House and Now I Feel Bad

I just went up to him after finishing up with Tom Nook and he said something along the lines of "A lot of people would be weirded out if someone who didn't live in their house tried to remodel it. Not me though!" And it made me sit there and think. In New Horizons you really are one heck of a dictator, being able to say how their house should look, how they should dress, where they can live, if they're allowed to leave... This ain't right y'all 😭

Does anyone know if there's a case like this for the Lite, and if so where to get it?

I've had this lite since around 2021 and can't find anything I want to decorate it with. Recently got this OLED second hand and got this whole geek share set and was wondering if anyone knows if there's anything remotely close for the Lite and if so, like the title states, where can I get it 😅

About Brewster's Pigeon Milk

I know we've all made the jokes about pidgeon milk, and Brewster being male, etc etc. BUT. Did you guys know that not only is pidgeon milk real, but it also can come from male pigeons too?

There is something called "crop milk" that very few birds can produce, however pigeons happen to be one of them! It is a strange secretion from their throats that has a cottage-cheese like texture and scent to it. In other words, it's just as gross as the jokes, if not worse 😂

It's been on my mind since I played City Folk and Wild World when I was about 4 years old since I used to read encyclopedias as if they were my cocomelon lol

Fun fact.

Need advice

My husband had lost his father when he was 16. I didn't push for details and he didn't discuss past that. I cannot blame him. However his father has been the topic of many conversations as of late. Usually nothing bad, just him telling stories his family would tell him. For a little more context, he wasn't super present when he was alive, but from what I'm gathering there was external problems that were the cause of it. It's been an ongoing issue that when his father is brought up he starts to break down after talking for a bit, but it feels wrong to try to cut him off to stop it from happening so I haven't done it. Since our son was born is when the conversations became more frequent. Our son allegedly resembles his father uncannily. His whole family says it. My husband and I have brown eyes and our son has his father's ice blue eyes. I've never met him nor seen photos but it's been driving my husband in and out of depressive episodes. He's getting help professionally but I need to know what I could do. Basically just asking advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation. He's not one to open up until it's all too much, and he was raised being taught emotions make you weak and that he should shoulder his problems to not be a burden. I just don't want to make it any harder than it already is for him

So I know for a fact we have carpet beetles in our room. We however have been forbidden by our landlord to do anything to treat for them other than vacuum, and quite frankly I'd rather not fight them on it again. We rent a room in a 5 bedroom and we don't really know or interact with the others. The photos above are the kinds of weird bumps I've been getting lately. Now if like to add that the second photos bumps looked the same as the first before, and that I had taken that photo days after they first appeared since they looked worrisome. The first photo I just took because these are pretty new. To also add, we've had these beetles for a while, but we've been slacking on keeping up with laundry and linens lately so it'd make sense. I also share a bed with my BF and he has no bumps anywhere. These are itchy, and burn when scratched like ant stings would, but they definitely aren't ant stings. We were worried bed bugs because of the placement, but we've also torn the entire room top to bottom multiple times and found no traces. No stains, none hiding in crevices in the mattress or bedframe, nothing in clothing, zilch. They also don't appear every morning, it's completely random which is what throws us off every time. For reference, the second photo is the last time it happened and it was about 2 weeks ago. Anyone know?
