What movie do you hope gets turned into an event next, and who do you hope gets a hometown event next?

Personally, I hope we get a Robin Hood, Peter Pan (- the racism) or Beauty and the Beast event. Rook would have to be in a Robin Hood event. I think it would be cool to do a 2 in 1 type deal for him, where his hometown (and/or his parents) are based on Robin Hood.

As for who I hope gets a hometown event next, I think it would be fun to get a Che'nya, Trey and Riddle hometown event (Especially so we can finally see Riddle's mom and get her name. She seems like a Dolores to me). Or a Ruggie hometown event.

But what do y'all think?

Ladies of twst, who out of all the characters would you LEAST want to be alone in a room with?

Personally, Rook. Sorry, I just can’t with the whole ‘fake wall covered in pictures’ thing in his room art. >!Also his dream in book 7? Hell no. !<Rook just gives me bad vibes. No hate to the people who like him, I just can’t with him. (also I despise his haircut)

But what do y’all think?

As an autistic person with a lot of self-imposed rules, the queen of hearts rules are weird.

(DISCLAIMER! I am not an expert on autism, I'm basing this on my personal experience, please be nice to me)

I was reading the queen of hearts rules (because it's a day ending in Y) and some of these aren't necessarily bad per se, they're just weirdly specific and it makes me wonder why they're rules in the first place.

To start off'; if Riddle wants to fallow all 810 rules to a T, that's fine. More power to him. Forcing others to fallow them isn't cool. I have stupid rules I make for myself (one mustn't eat pancakes before pickles, for example) but I don't force others to fallow them.

For me, rules need to A) make sense and B) have a reason for me to fallow them. And sometimes if they make sense but don't have a reason I'll still fallow it. Queen of Hearts rule 23 for example; One must never bring a cat to a formal affair. That's makes sense, cats can cause a ruckus.

And some I can understand, but they're just oddly specific. Ones that make enough sense that I won't go out of my way to break it but still make wonder why. Such as Rule 25; There must always be a tea party on the 5th day of every month. Makes sense, but why the 5th specifically?

But some of the other rules just make me wonder why this was a rule in the first place. Every rule is a rule for a reason so someone at one point must've done something to warrant this being a rule. I want to know the story behind it. Like rule 412; when you see a pair of moving glasses in the forest, never go back the way you came. How often was this happening that it needed to be a rule?

Additionally, some of these rules really sound like the kind of rules an autistic person would make for themselves. (Rule 346; Croquet must not be played after 5:00pm. Rule 339; The post-meal beverage is to be lemon tea with two sugar cubes. Rule 271; One must leave the table within fifteen minutes of completing their lunch. Just to name a few) So my theory (MY GAME THEORY!) / headcanon is the Queen of Hearts was autistic (or otherwise nurodivergent) and made super specific rules that, while they made sense to her, didn't make sense to her staff and advisers. And those staff and advisers, fearing the Queen's fiery temper (also ya'know she's the queen), just went along with it. And centuries later, Riddle, being autistic himself, enforced these rules, never seeing a reason to question them. After all, rules are rules, they must have a good reason for being in place. And who is Riddle to question the Queen of Hearts?

Thank you for listening to my tea infused rant (and for letting me spread my autistic Riddle Rosehearts propaganda). Have a lovely time zone.

Bruh are you for real?

I made a post in another sub venting about having my period and Pink decided this was the perfect opportunity to be a misogynist.

Not sure if this perfectly fits here, I’ll totally understand if the mods need to take it down.

color key

pink = misogynist

blue and green = helpful strangers

Bruh

So I made a post in a different sub venting about how much I hate periods. And this happened.

Color key

pink = troll (at least I hope that what they are)

blue and green = helpful strangers

I’ve honestly had enough and I’m probably gonna report them after I make this post.

Why does the female body require more maintenance than a 50 yo car?!

Sorry I just need to vent. TW; Periods and maybe TMI.

Being on your period is AWFUL, both as an autistic person and in general. Wearing pads is annoying and uncomfy but tampons and other things are too intimidating. I hate that I can feel the blood dripping out of my body, it's weird and gross. I have even less of an apatite than normal. I ate 2 meals yesterday, both unhealthy junk food (but that's a different post entirely) and no snacks whatsoever. I'm extra sensitive to noise that I usually don't mind as much. I have no motivation to do anything. I'm moody (this is the first time I'm having noticeable shifts in mood), the other day I was super ticked off and annoyed and I just had a mental breakdown a few minutes ago. I'm in abdominal and back pain. I'm more tired than usual. I can't do things I normally can.

TL;DR, I am suffering. I hate this so much. And before you say "can't you go on birth control?" "can't you just get meds?" No, I can't, because it's not that simple, Derek.

Just, fuvfwhoadfieqqfiu!! I hate this!!!

Edit; while I really do appreciate all your suggestions and recommendation's, I fear I am not in the market for such things at the moment for a multitude of reasons. Absolutely not your fault and I appreciate you trying to help, no need to apologize (I'm not saying that because I expect or want apologies just that I know how some autistic brains can function sometimes). Please feel free to continue to vent/discuss things in the comments.

People with narcolepsy of Reddit, what are some subtle forms of ablism you’ve experienced?

Things like people being ignorant/unwilling to understand your condition, things that make you go “thanks, I’m cured😒”, people getting mad at you for things you can’t control, stuff like that.

Feel free to correct my grammar or phrasing, have a lovely time zone.

How I survive clothes shopping as an autistic person.

These are just the accommodations I make for myself based on my sensory profile, this might not work for you but it’s what works for me.

  • Go on a day you don’t have anything else going on.

The last thing you need is to get out of the hell that is trying on a bunch of clothes and immediately need to get ready for a date.

  • Get a good nights sleep.

This is kind if obvious but you’re going to have much more patience when you’re fully rested.

  • Establish boundaries before you leave.

For me, it’s super overwhelming when I’m clothes shopping with another person and they ask a million questions. Talk about what‘s overwhelming and how to avoid it.

  • Eat before you go.

Similar to the first one, you have much more patience on a full stomach.

  • Take a full water bottle.

Iced or not iced. Having a dry mouth or being dehydrated is awful and can take a lot of patience to ignore.

  • Noise canceling headphones are your friend!

You can’t control other people and sometimes people are really loud. Bring noise canceling headphones when you can.

  • Know what you like.

What stores you like, what styles you like, what textures you like. Seems obvious but it really helps.

  • Have an idea of what you want.

Don‘t go pants shopping the day you go shirt shopping. Don’t go bra shopping the same day you go dress shopping. Try to minimize the amount of different kinds of clothes you have to try on in a given trip.

This is all what works for me might not work for you. Just thought I’d share in case anyone else finds this helpful.

Have a lovely time zone.

Does anyone else relate to this?

So I’m on vacation for three days and because of where I am and who I’m with I don‘t have many ways of spending time with and honoring the gods. One of the low effort/energy ways I like spending time with the gods is lighting the candle in my room for one of the gods and just hanging out and doing things in my room and I really want to do that right now but I have no candle or lighter to speak of. I really want to light a candle for Lady Persephone and listen to Hadestown while I work on my scarf but I can’t. The feeling I can equate this to is like holding your breath while you’re deep under water and yearning for those deep breaths you’re normally able to take on land.

Is anyone able to relate?

Calling all Silver X Ruggie shippers!

I’m thinking about writing a short (700-1000) fluff fic about these two, give me some ideas.

King of hearts rules for fanfic suggestions

  1. Nothing too long.
  2. Referenced NSFW content is fine, but I don’t really feel like writing a smut fic.
  3. Extremely mild angst is fine but try to keep it mostly fluff.
  4. 2-5 Cameo characters is fine, not too many.
  5. No cameo ships.

Looking forward to seeing your suggestions! Have a lovely time zone.

What are your favorite poly ships in fanfic?

(For those who don’t know; a poly ship is a ship with more than 2 involved. Ex; A x B x C)

My favs are TodoBakuDeku from MHA and Floyd x Azul x Jade from Twisted Wonderland (Floyd and Jade are twins, I’m aware. Just cause I read something in fanfic doesn’t mean I support/endorse it IRL. Don’t judge me.)

Love to hear yours in the comments.

If you could write a letter to the primary god you worship, what would you say?

What would you ask? What would you tell them? What would you hope they’d say?

This thought arose while listening to Dear Athena by Sierra Sikora. Really good song, highly recommend.

Looking forward to reading your responses. Have a nice time zone<3

How long does someone have to be dead before it becomes archaeology and not grave robing?

So this is a question I should know the answer to considering I watch MiniMinuteMan but alas (earwax) I do not.

I don’t have much else to say considering the title is pretty self explanatory. Have a nice time zone!

Is it appropriate to wear a Palestinian flag bracelet or pin as a non-Palestinian?

So I am a very white person with not a drop of Arab blood in my body, and I was wondering if it would be appropriate to wear a Palestinian flag to show support for the country and it's people during this conflict. This question came about when I saw a Palestinian flag bracelet (very much like this one) at pride and I was tempted to buy it (partially because my autistic brain really liked the texture) but I didn't because I was concerned about how I, a white person, might be viewed wearing a flag from an Arab country I have no relation too. I always try to be sensitive and respectful when it comes to things like race, culture, ethnicity, and nationality, and I didn't want to inadvertently offend someone.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated, have a lovely time zone.

Does anyone else’s brain do that or am I just weird?

So I‘ve been watching Steven Universe because I didn’t finish it the first time, also cause why not, and I’m on S:1E:49 and as I’m watching it I’ll find myself brain thinking “oh I can’t wait for Danny to react to this episode“ or “oh Danny is probably going to think that’s super hype” (yes I’ve started using ‘hype’ unironically because of watching Danny Motta) You know, like when you‘re watching a show with a friend and you‘re just waiting to see if they like your favorite part.

Does anyone else’s brain do this or am I just weird?

Thank you for your time. Have a lovely time zone.

Real conversation I had with my mom

Me: *watching Danny Motta’s reaction to episode 3&4 of SU*

My Mom: Why is he always yelling?

Me: Do you have a problem?

My Mom: Yes.

Me: Too bad. I like him. I find him endearing. And I like his stupid little smile *said lovingly*

So that was my afternoon.

Hey thanks Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ for re-kindling my love and passion for my religion.

I would to start this off by saying I have ADHD.

So around late June early July I started feeling a little burnt out with my religion, it just didn’t bring the same joy it once did. So because I was going on vacation and I wouldn’t really be able to make offering anyway, I decided to take a little break. And the Friday of my first week back from vacation The Odyssey came out and I went to see it that Saturday. In preparation for The Odyssey and just to get myself hyped, I re-listen to Epic and started re-watching Danny Motta’s reaction to it. Additionally I started making offerings again and it was rewarding in the way it used to be before I took my break. Also I went to see Hadestown with my mom and some friends today. Also-Also I re-visted OSP’s Legends Summarized: The Gods of Greece today and that really cemented me as “back in the groove“ as the kids say. (You’re 22 girl, what are you talking about?)

So yeah. I just wanted to share that too remind people that it’s okay to take a break from something (even your religion) if it’s not bringing you the same joy it once did.

Thank you for listening, have a lovely time zone.
