I use an adblocker on everything, I don't want ads on the internet. However, when I'm listening to the radio I feel like the ads give me a glimpse into what's kind of "happening", what's being marketed, or what people are buying, events happening, overused jingles, and whatnot. Even though I don't plan on ever rebuilding my fence or bundle all of my loans together (because I have neither), I appreciate to know that the option exists. Besides, aren't stupid commercial catchphrases a cornerstone in modern culture?

The best part is that I can change channel at any time, if I want to go fully ad-free I switch to an SR (Sweden's Radio; tax-funded) channel, or if I just don't feel like ads at the moment I go to any other channel that's playing music at the moment. The magical word is consent.

Jag har fått infallet att jag ska sitta berusad och spela dragspel under midsommarfesten. Helst med en fet cigarr i munnen, uppknäppt hawaiiskjorta, och stråhatt på sniskan.
