woke up to my husband sending a chatbot dick pics

so i woke up and i could see him going at it, fine normal whatever. but it looked like he was texting someone so i kinda perked up and he quickly closed out of it. so i kept pushing him to open it, he was saying it was an ai chatbot. after some pressuring he opened it and it was a telegram chat.

i cried a lot and he deleted all the porn apps and telegram in front of me and promises it will never happen again, he said it started a week ago when he was lonely at work while i was sleeping. he’s insisting it was all a chatbot (which telegram does have) and that nothing is lacking in our relationship and he doesn’t know why he did it. when we first started dating we had an issue reversed where i took a chat on tumblr too far but have never had any issues in like 5 years.

i just feel numb, i literally never expecting something like this to happen. i feel pathetic because i would tell anyone in the same position to put themselves first and i feel like a hypocrite for what happened before. it’s different now that we’re married, our sex life is not stagnant at all and we’ve always been open with each other about everything. and i still love him so much and can see how upset he is too but!!!!!! i don’t know.

i told him there’s not gonna be a second chance and he says he understands and only wants me. i know he definitely has a bit of a porn/gooner addiction but it’s never really impacted our relationship negatively

EDIT: he is also very anti ai. i know he was just horny and wanted connection but he knows i’m totally ok with him watching porn so i just don’t understand the thought process

EDIT 2: he showed me. they were not chatbots, they were OF girls (2) from porn servers he was in, mostly advertising and trying to get him to buy things. he let me read every message. he continuously told them he was married and was not interested in actual sexting or cheating. i don’t know either. do with this what you will, i need time to think and im not responding to all of this rn

UPDATE: Missing ~$25k PSA dropoff order located by detectives after PSA donated my cards to charity; 2 cards recovered from eBay, Still searching for other missing cards sold to LCS in LaBrea

Simple mixup? Willful negligence? What’s the difference?

About 5 months ago, I submitted roughly $25k worth of cards to Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) through an official drop-off submission.

Months later, I discovered my exact cards being sold publicly on eBay.

I identified them through photos, videos, and documentation I had saved before submission, and filed a police report.

Through extreme diligence, law enforcement detectives from MA and CA have since recovered some of the cards from the eBay seller’s residence, which was very close to PSA headquarters.

According to the seller, the cards were allegedly donated by PSA to a children’s hospital charity event.

The story later changed:

  • first they claimed they only received 2 cards,
  • then all of them,
  • then said the remaining cards had already been sold to a local card shop and resold almost immediately from there.

So let that sink in:

Cards entrusted to PSA:

  • left controlled custody,
  • donated to a charity event,
  • entered the open marketplace,
  • and were recovered only through my efforts involving law enforcement.

You almost have to laugh when you read this, because it sounds like a comedy. But PSA’s own statement to law enforcement seems to corroborate this charity event free-for-all.

Meanwhile, I spent FIVE MONTHS trying to get answers for an order I didn’t receive that should have been returned to me in January.

PSA has lately discussed compensating me up to declared value of the remaining missing cards and requiring an NDA/release agreement as part of any settlement. They have recently offered upgraded grading vouchers for the missing cards (the two that I had law enforcement return to me, as well as the others, “if they are recovered”). They have acquiesced to not making me buy my own cards back, if they are in fact later discovered.

At this point, this feels way beyond a simple “lost package” or “oopsie.” This seems like wanton disregard affecting many of us in the hobby community, with little or no accountability by PSA for their chain of custody, control checks, and egregious security failures. Imagine how well their “QC Checks” on our graded cards are handled, when they have failed to even recognize the difference between slabbed PSA cards that were supposed to be on a donation table**, and my expensive** raw cards which had been submitted for Express grading**.**

So I want to ask you as collectors:

What would YOU do if these were your cards?

Is this acceptable? Would you:

  • accept declared value compensation?
  • sign an NDA?
  • push PSA for public accountability and chain-of-custody reform?
  • investigate how many other fellow collectors this has happened to?
  • boycott PSA forever?
  • hire an attorney?

For me as a collector**, this isn’t just business, it’s not about the dollar. This is about particular irreplaceable cards that we pursue and value as collectors.. not about flipping to make a quick buck.**

I have used PSA for years and like a lot of collectors, I trusted PSA because of what they claim to stand for: a hallmark of value, excellence, security, and integrity. A vault of safety around some of your most precious investments. Objects that you’ve scoured for, spent days scrolling to find, spent countless hours earning money to achieve, and then examining them all with microscope and microfiber to assess whether they will merit a grade worthy of a slab.

I am still consulting counsel and trying to figure out the best path forward. I am also still diligently trying to find my other missing cards. I'm attaching pics of two here, in hopes that the community can help me find.

If anyone can offer any helpful feedback, suggest the best place to post, & strategy to get my remaining cards back, I would really appreciate it!
