Any iPhone Air users ready for the Ultra/Fold?

I’ve been on the Air since launch date and I love the form factor, just getting tired of the battery and heating issues when FaceTiming or charging. The fold should avoid those, so it’s really just the telephoto camera that I’ll miss, but overall, I think the Ultra Fold will be worth the compromise. Anyone else here ready to move from
air to ultra?

Tired of Air compromises - 17PM now or wait for 18PM?

Hey all. Could use some buying guidance. I’ve been on the iPhone Air since launch. Love the design and how light it is, but I miss having good battery life and even more so miss the telephoto camera.

I am on the iPhone upgrade program through Apple, but they are ending that so I’ll be returning my Air to them after I pay August’s payment. In anticipation of this, I ordered a 17 Pro Max from Verizon (installments), with the flex upgrade so that I could still get the 18PM if I wanted in 2 months or so. I then realized that would very much be a waste of money, to get both in a few month span, so I am going to either keep the 17PM or return it and get the 18PM next month.

My question is, do you think staying on the air for another 6 weeks or so, and waiting for the 18PM’s marginal upgrades will be worth it? I know it will cost more too, but the yearly cost on installments will probably amount to \~$40-$100 per year, not as bad as $200-$300 if buying outright. I do have significant annoyances with the Air at this point and I’ve been wanting the telephoto a lot recently, but I’m just not sure if I should wait for the 18PM at this point. What do yall think, anyone in a similar boat with the Air ready to jump back to a pro but unsure whether to wait a little longer?

Saturday night dub in Cincy!

Me and a buddy made the short drive from Indy to see our Cubbies in Cincy. Always a solid experience here and there were probably 60% Cubs fans lol. Look at all those W flags!!!
I really like the sky line view especially from the 500 level. Sears are comfy and cheap. Not bad at all

Considering switching from Air - need advice

Hey everyone. Long time Apple fanboy and tech nerd here. Been in many a self imposed buying over-analyses over the years and i find myself in one yet again.

I’m currently on the iPhone Air on the iPhone Upgrade Program through Apple. I love the feel and comfort of the Air in hand, but whenever its time to go to events I find myself missing the telephoto lens of the Pro. The battery can be a pain on longer days too, but for the most part ive managed with the MagSafe pack and/or portable chargers. It really comes down to the camera. I have a bit more of an eye / interest for everyday photography than average, and I feel like I could use it to get more creative with shots especially when I go to sports or concerts, etc. (which i do fairly often). Combine that with the battery security and better speakers….I’m pretty sure I want to go back to a Pro when I get the chance.

However, I am also very intrigued with the prospect of the iPhone Fold/Ultra. I have been wanting to try a fold for awhile now, just been waiting for Apple to do one thats in their ecosystem as that is what I prefer and am bought into. I love the idea of a mini tablet in my pocket. So, normally, I would just wait till September and either get the Fold or the latest Pro (more on that later)…

But then there’s the current RAMageddon with all the price increases lately, and it has me genuinely wondering if I should just get a 17 Pro before September, to save a couple bucks per month once the inevitably more expensive 18 Pros drop. I’m certain the changes won’t be worth the extra monthly cost that they’ll involve.

So rn I’m torn between two paths basically. Pro or Fold - if im gonna get the Fold, I obviously just wait for that. But it means committing to the camera compromise that I’ve lived with on the Air. Sacrificing a photography creative option for a new and exciting day to day experience that only a foldable could provide - similar proposition to the Air. Giving up a few features to gain the new and more comfortable form factor. It’s also going to be a lot more expensive than the Pro which is another thing to consider…give up a camera lens and pay more per month for effectively 2 devices in one? I guess it really does come down to the telephoto. If i decide i *need* the telephoto, I think it makes more sense to get the Pro now or at least before the 18s come out to save some $. If i decide I don’t need the telephoto, I can keep the Air and wait to see how the Fold looks, and if its too expensive just keep the Air another year.

I know I cant be the only OCD Apple nerd here. Can i get some advice and input? Thanks fellow nerds!
