The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami: Murakami Is Simply in a League of His Own

This is a masterpiece by Murakami. I honestly don’t think anyone else could come up with stories like this. He has an incredible command of words and an unmatched ability to narrate a story. He is truly one of the best storytellers out there.

The Fourth Monkey, The Fifth to Die & The Sixth Wicked Child by J.D. Barker — Easily the Best Thrillers I’ve Read So Far

I honestly don’t know what else to say, but these are easily the best thriller books I’ve read so far.
I didn’t find anything cliché in any of the three books. Every single one kept me hooked, and the writing is genuinely on another level.
But honestly, the characters are what stood out to me the most. The entire writing is one thing, but the character development and the way each character is written are in a league of their own.
All three books are easily among the best thrillers I’ve read so far, and this series has set the bar ridiculously high for me.

The Best ₹4.5K Shoes I’ve Found

Found these randomly on Myntra, and honestly, these might be the best shoes I’ve come across in the ₹4.5K range.
The color alone is giving me serious vintage ’70s vibes.

J.D. Barker completely ruined other thrillers for me.

I just finished reading The Fourth Monkey by J.D. Barker, and I have only one thing to say: what an unbelievable thriller.
It's hard to believe that this book was published back in 2018, and I'm only reading it in 2026. I'm genuinely amazed by J.D. Barker's writing. I can't understand why I had never come across a thriller like this before.
The most shocking part? I read all 406 pages in a single sitting. I honestly don't even remember how the time flew by. The story is so gripping and addictive that it's almost impossible to put the book down.
Every plot twist is brilliantly executed, and the way Barker keeps raising the stakes is nothing short of masterful. I kept wondering how someone could come up with a story this clever.
What surprises me even more is that there still isn't a movie adaptation. This novel has everything a great psychological thriller needs.
J.D. Barker is simply on another level. Absolute respect hail to him.
