I’m so frustrated with my digestive issues and not knowing what’s wrong

I’m honestly so fed up with my digestive issues. I have IBS-M and functional dyspepsia, but sometimes I wonder if something else is going on, like IBD.
Today, I started out having small, hard pellet-like stools, but I kept feeling like I needed to poop even when nothing else would come out. I’ve now had four bowel movements, and they’ve progressed to loose, watery/mushy diarrhea. I’m dealing with so much gas, bloating, abdominal pressure, and stomach aches. My gas and stool even smell like eggs.
I’m exhausted by the constant changes in my bowel habits and never knowing what my body is going to do. One minute I’m constipated, and the next I’m dealing with diarrhea and abdominal pain. It’s hard not to worry that something is being missed, especially when I still don’t feel like I fully understand what’s causing all of this.
I know IBS can cause a lot of symptoms, but how do you know when it’s actually IBS versus something like IBD? Has anyone with IBS-M experienced this kind of pattern? What testing helped you get answers?
I’m just frustrated, uncomfortable, and tired of not knowing what’s going on with my body.

Getting zone minutes while at rest

Can someone please tell me why i’m getting Zone minutes while at rest? My zones seem to be correct in the app. I’ve tried restarting my fitbit versa 4 and that helped for a bit and now it’s back to counting zone mins. I don’t have any updates that need to be done.

Any ideas?

Buspar and POTS

Hi everyone. My psychiatrist just prescribed me Buspar (buspirone) for my anxiety. She prescribed 5 mg twice a day but told me I could start with 2.5 mg (half a tablet) twice a day if I wanted to ease into it.
I’m planning to start next weekend, but I’m honestly terrified.

I take propranolol 5 mg twice a day for POTS, and my blood pressure already runs a little on the lower side (though it’s usually okay). I read that buspirone and propranolol can both contribute to dizziness or lower blood pressure, and now I’m scared my blood pressure is going to tank, I’ll get so dizzy that I faint, or something really bad will happen.

Has anyone here taken buspirone with propranolol? If so:
Did it noticeably lower your blood pressure?
Did you feel dizzy, and if you did, did it go away?
Did starting with 2.5 mg help?

Any tips for the first dose?
I know reading side effects online probably isn’t helping my anxiety, but I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences. Thanks!

Do I need a Tdap booster after minor cut?

23 year old female 5’3” 136 lbs non smoker who has a medical history of pots, childhood seizure disorder, anxiety, depression, and migraines. who takes propranolol for pots, and prn Ubrelvy for migraines. Earlier in the day I briefly touched a mailbox that may have had a small amount of rust on it. i washed my hands after touching the mailbox anyways. but then a few hours later i noticed a small cut on my finger (very minor, no deep puncture)

I’ve already messaged my primary care doctor, but I’m feeling very anxious and wanted a second medical perspective on urgency. My main questions are:

Based on this situation, do I need a Tdap booster, and how soon should it be given?

Is this considered a high-risk exposure or more of a routine “update if due” situation?

I have a history of childhood seizures (no seizures in over 10 years, off medication) is there any concern with receiving Tdap in my case, or any precautions I should take?

I appreciate any guidance. I’m mostly trying to understand whether this is urgent or just routine care.

Hey everyone,

I was recently prescribed Zoloft (sertraline) for anxiety/depression. I also have a history of seizures, and that’s been making me feel pretty anxious about starting it.

My main fears are:

- Whether Zoloft could affect seizure threshold or increase risk in my case

- Early side effects making anxiety worse before it improves

- Feeling emotionally numb or not like myself

- Increased irritability or mood swings

- Health anxiety spirals making it hard to tell what’s medication vs anxiety

- Getting stuck in worst-case thinking and losing trust in the process

What’s hard is that I can feel okay and reassured after talking with my doctor, but then later I start doubting everything again and focusing on worst-case scenarios.

I also tend to be very sensitive to physical sensations (muscle twitches, noise sensitivity, random body sensations), which makes me question what I’m feeling a lot.

I do want treatment and to feel better, but I’m struggling with fear around starting something new given my history and anxiety patterns.

Has anyone with a seizure history taken Zoloft or similar SSRIs? What was your experience starting it like, especially in the first couple of weeks?

I’d really appreciate hearing others’ experiences.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been dealing with what I think is pretty intense anxiety lately, but it’s starting to feel like more than just “worry thoughts.” I’m trying to figure out if all of this can actually be anxiety or if I should be looking deeper.

Lately I’ve been experiencing:

- Sudden irritability and snapping at people (even my fiancé and my dog)

- Feeling on edge most of the time, like my nervous system is “revved up”

- Sensory sensitivity (things feeling too loud or overwhelming or phantom smells)

- Random muscle twitches in different spots (nose, thumb, etc.)

- Feeling emotionally flat or suddenly very empty at times

- Mood swings between anxious, sad, and irritable

- Physical anxiety symptoms like stomach discomfort/cramping

- Health anxiety, especially around medications and side effects

- Hypervigilance / feeling overly alert to everything around me

- Nausea & stomach issues.

What’s confusing me is how physical and sudden it all feels. Some days I’m okay and then I’ll just shift into feeling really off, irritable, or overwhelmed for no clear reason.

Has anyone else had anxiety show up like this — especially with irritability, sensory issues, and physical symptoms like twitching or stomach stuff?

I’d really appreciate hearing if this sounds familiar to anyone or if it still fits within anxiety for you.

Thanks for reading.
