It’s becoming a collection

I made another terrarium last night. (The smaller one) with what I had-the container was a dollar from Goodwill. I am becoming obsessed and it is so fun putting these together! I want to do smaller mason jars next.

My little plant corner.

I’m moving things around so the aloe and string of turtles is going to move back to my sunny window. Silver pothos had to upgrade her pot. Idk if her current spot will get enough light but I’m experimenting and I threw together this little terrarium tonight. My back hurts, I’m so tired from the plant maintenance I’ve done tonight. Project after project, my adhd brain won’t shut off.

I was pleased to find these little macarame plant hangars from Marshall’s for $5 each though. 🥰

My 1st build is slowly becoming a serene jungle escape.

Can’t wait to add more plants and moss 🌱 my daughter and I seem to gather rocks, moss & other things on our walks with our dog every evening.

Do you have a favorite plant that scratches your dopamine itch because of the beautiful foliage and fast growth?

I think this is one of my favorite houseplants. It grows fast and every new leaf I find brings me joy.

Our black walnut tree has been strange this year

Dumping large amounts of walnuts since the beginning of summer, dropping large tree branches every other week-no storms or strong winds have provoked it. And my neighbor swears that this cavity in the tree has gotten bigger and darker this year. Located in NW, OH USA.

Is this all a cause of concern? I’m not sure if you need anymore pics to diagnose the issue, I can post more if needed. Google says this is a natural shedding process of the tree but my neighbor and I are skeptical that something might be wrong with it. We don’t know.

Wanted to reach out to some tree-specialists on here to get some opinions.

$3 at the thrift store. Is this a sustainable find and what would you do with it?

Just looking to get a little inspiration. I wish there was an easy way to put a waterfall pump in it without drilling the glass? And maybe getting a bunch of rocks and charcoal and stuff and sheet moss and make it more terrascape-like? I’m very, very new to this hobby, so something user-friendly novice but still gives depth and is pretty to get lost in at looking at for hours 😂

is there anything I can do to fix this layout or does it look okay?

Trying to teach my plants how to climb things but it’s not working correctly-featuring mock-moss pole because I didn’t think to get one while out. I’m working with what I got, plants and all. 😔

I found a reptile enclosure on the side of the road and made my first terrarium out of it. How’d I do?

It will be better when I can get a light for it. I have a full spectrum bulb in the lamp next to it but I don’t think it’ll be enough.

“If you wanna elevate your space, buy a plant! But if you want to elevate your mind, be amongst them!”

LOL thought you all would appreciate this here.

Dutch just wants the kitties to like him. Almost 5 weeks since we adopted him!

He’s so good. A gentle giant. He’s been testing boundaries a lot lately but he’s constantly learning and I’m so grateful for our adventures together!

Gratitude for this visitor in my garden today 🦋

It seems we never get pollinators anymore so the moment we do, it is a magical moment and I get so excited! I’m sad because we have hardly any bees or anything, but we have SO many pollinator friendly flowers!

A few of my favorite houseplants 🪴💛

Some are small yet mighty! And I can’t wait to watch them flourish into fully grown plants! My newest addition is the pink princess philodendron (pic 2)

Stoned journal entry 7/10. Finding the power within you to overcome adversity

7/10/26

Look into unresolved stress in the morning. Positive Coping strategies need to be recognized again. Find your soul again. The alchemist was mainly about finding the treasure within your own self. the torch within you lights the flame to guide you along. You are the answer. The first step to waking up is recognizing the immense power within yourself. That, as long as you are “waiting around” for change, it never going to happen when you avoid accountability for yourself to wait for a knight in shining armor to change yourself for you. Your habits, the things you don’t like about yourself.

You must cleanse. Purge. Cry. But do not judge the thoughts that come up within yourself. The energy will start finding you again with each positive step you take in maybe just starting out your morning with simple gratitude. 🙏
-“Thank you rainstorm, today. I really felt like I needed a break from the 3 days of beautiful sunshine we just had”.

Also recognizing that maybe you haven’t been your authentic self lately which is why you are suppressing so much, life has been passing you by so fast lately. So busy. That you just want it to slow down a little. Life just needs to slow down at the better, more enjoyable moments in life and less on the boring and ordinary.

I NEED an outlet that is healthier and more sustainable than the toxins that I have been consuming lately. The screen time, the nicotine, the weed, the alcohol. The constant dopamine rush and immense fear of the guilt I would feel at actually having to face my own demons and bring them to neutrality like the true alchemist I remember myself being many years back.

Sometimes, we dig ourselves a little too deep.

💫Mantra for the night: I do not judge my own thoughts. And I embrace my current authenticity for what it is and will always be.

And so it is.

Baby steps. Patience with yourself.

All ancestors look out behind your eyes

I love my hydrangeas! I can’t wait to watch the strawberry sundae ones turn more pink as we get through the summer and fall.

My hibiscus during the day compared to the same evening when they close up. These are one of my favorite flowers in my landscape I think❤️

Going to eventually get an embark DNA test done, just wanted some opinions on our new dog we rescued last week.

We know for a fact he is part German shepherd. But we have searched on google images of GSD/boxer mix, GSD/pitbull mix, GSD/mountain cur mix…they all look like him! It’s driving us mad trying to figure out what he’s mixed with lol what do you guys think?
