Filing my ITR-2 for FY 2025-26 under the New Tax Regime. Because I switched jobs mid-year from Employer-1 to Employer-2 and didn't submit Form 12B, my tax slabs were computed from scratch twice.

My combined income pushed me heavily into the 30% bracket, leaving me with a massive tax shortfall.

The Math:

Total Taxable Income: ₹49,40,220 (Employer-1: ₹21.94L + Employer-2: ₹27.31L + Misc Interest/Dividends, minus ₹75k Standard Deduction)

Total Tax Due (inc. Cess): ₹12,18,949

Total TDS Deposited: ₹6,34,256

Core Tax Shortfall: ₹5,84,693 (₹12,18,949 - ₹6,34,256)

Section 234B Interest: ₹18,808

Section 234C Interest: ₹23,746

Grand Total to Pay (Self-Assessment Tax): ₹6,27,244

My Questions:

The 234C Quarter 1 & 2 Trap: I joined my new company in mid-November . Why does Quarter 1 (June) and Quarter 2 (September) legally qualify for a penalty when I hadn't even earned or signed for that higher salary yet? Is there any way to override or dispute this on the portal?

Under the New Tax Regime, are there any last-minute adjustments or investments allowed post-March 31 to legally lower this bill, or am I completely stuck paying the full amount?

Appreciate any quick advice.

I'm considering purchasing flagship headphones from Sony, Bose, Sennheiser. But before I pay I want to personally experience them. Which store can provide a demo? I have checked in chroma (VIP road), they have mid-range sony headphones for demo. Any insights will be highly appreciated.

I recently started seeing a beautiful girl 21F. She is the type of girl I always wanted. Passes all the checklist to be my gf.

We met online and decided to meet in-person once, since then we used to talk daily. Morning text, random messages/calls, late night talks for 2 months. We go on dates atleast once a week. She is always seemed excited when we meet, her eyes lits up when she sees me. We used to hold hands while sitting in a cafe or taking long walks. Everything was going smoothly untill one day her behaviour changed. So she is with her parents (in another city) for 2 weeks now. She started showing no interest like late replies, dry replies, uninterested replies and what not. When I asked what's wrong she said she is uncertain about getting into a relationship and has commitment issues.
