Why does management seem to think that new bells and whistles will make things more efficient? Some software is so complicated that the actual learning curve needs to be taken into account before any benefit is acquired. And then you do a million more steps to do something they before was simple copy paste. Why are we going backwards??

You’d think we would be overflowing with IT jobs.. especially for infrastructure at all these DCs going up everywhere for AI.

Wash all clothes? Shower when you get home? Anything’s else?

How stressed are you being in IT? What do you do? How’s your management? What’s expected of you and is it realistic?

I’m in several single groups and go to events and even have some at my place.. but can’t call a single person my friend. Does anyone have real friends? Like someone they have a phone number to and get together at all to do anything anymore??

Who’s getting burnt out at the job trying to learn so many new things and having to use AI or nautobot or automation on top of other software/hardware. It never stops. Load us up with all you can till we break.

We want to visit for a day. Should we park and take public transport or get e-bikes? Where can we park cheap and get such? We want to go to the Japanese garden Powell city of books and some other things.

We want to visit for a day. Should we park and take public transport or get e-bikes? Where can we park cheap and get such? We want to go to space needle and waterfront and pike place.

I know that if I had full coverage on my own car it could cover my rental car. I drive an old car so i don’t have full coverage. Should I go to full coverage so it covers my rental car and then after my trip go back to my basic coverage??

I’m in a technical job and it’s changing so fast, using AI and automation and a slew of new apps to ‘do things more efficiently’. We have new technologies we are using and I just can’t keep up with these 30 somethings on my job. I’m wondering how long I can keep it up. In my field it’s like to help someone else is like helping the competition. I myself will help others but it seems like nobody’s got an interest in keeping me up to date. I feel like I can’t ask for help the way I need it cause it will reveal how far behind the curve I am. What do I do?
