We are a nickname family. Mom and dad have formal names but go by nicknames and big sister has a formal name and goes by a nickname so we want to do the same for our last child

I’m a Dzhoi, intended to be pronounced like “Joy,” but way too many people call me “Deezoy” by default…
People will even see my user online, which is a play on the candy “Almond Joy” (which I do to help with the pronunciation) and STILL get people pronouncing it “Almond Deezoy.”
It is supposed to be pronounced “Joy,” right? Or am I going insane? Why do people default to Deezoy? I have not the pleasure of understanding.
I cosleep with my four month old most nights on a floor bed for at least part of the night (we usually try to get baby to sleep in bassinet in the beginning of the night) since she was 2.5 months using safe sleep seven.
(1) At what point is it actually ok for baby’s dad to cosleep? After we changed shifts last night when she wouldn’t be transferred to bassinet and I had been cosleeping my husband stayed up with her from 4 am since she still wouldn’t transfer to bassinet and we agreed only I cosleep as I am breastfeeding.
(2) We are using our guest bed mattress for the floor bed (full size / 140 cm width). Since I mostly feed baby to sleep it’s much easier to have her on a floor bed. I am considering buying her her own floor bed in which I would also need to fit to feed to sleep but smaller size since the room is small. Could my husband then just sleep on a separate sleep surface in the room? How do I know if a floor bed is safe for baby without an adult in it? Some safe cosleeping guidelines say baby shouldn’t be in an adult bed alone. Does that just mean not in the bed with a bed frame (ie not floor bed)?
(3) For those using floor beds, what are your setups? When did a non breastfeeding parent start bed sharing?
I feel like it’s really hard to get good information on safest practices, but having baby sleep in bassinet is just not a reality.
This may be a stupid question, but can men or those with straight hips use a ring sling with hip carry? Just got a ring sling for LO since she doesn’t like facing in, and it’s going well so far! But not sure if my husband will really be able to use it. Anyone had success without prominent hips? Any tips?
Hey. having a baby boy soon. I was initially considering Danville as his first name but my friends were not a fan of it and suggested Daniel instead. I like both Daniel and Danville but not sure which one to use as the first name. Danville is a rare name meaning Daniel’s town.
I had a so-called clogged duct a few days ago and treated it as recommended with ibuprofen, icing after feeding, and taking sunflower lecithin. It feels it much more normal now but notably reduced my supply on that side. Did you notice a supply dip from clogged ducts, and if so how long did it take for the supply to rebound? Any tips for helping it along?
My baby had an elevated NT (4.0 mm - check post history for full details), and everything came back normal on the tests. It majorly affected my mental state for my whole pregnancy, and I feel like I still haven’t fully processed it even though baby was born healthy and is now 2.5 months. I feel like I’m still worried there is some heart defect that was missed or some other problem. How are others dealing (if you are still around on this sub)? While I had a good outcome, hence the TW, feel free to share also if it went differently for you. ❤️🩹
My baby is 10 weeks old and recently started only falling asleep for naps after nursing. She also does not sleep well in the bassinet for naps. I understand this is normal for her age, but it is challenging for her dad especially if he can’t get her to go down for a nap, and I feel like I have to be around her all the time for when she needs help falling asleep. She used to fall asleep in her pram or carrier but now only screams there if she is tired. I am happy that she sleeps easily from nursing and generally ok to have mainly contact naps at this stage, but not being able to take her for naps in the pram while on a walk is another challenge. What has helped you? Or just baby getting older? She also doesn’t take a pacifier 😔

I am due for my next dose of TBE vaccine this spring and am breastfeeding a one month old baby. Is it safe for the baby to continue breastfeeding (my current priority) while I get the vaccine?
How long did you eat like a feral raccoon after starting breastfeeding? I am four weeks postpartum following c section (which apparently takes even more calories to heal from) and feeling like a continual bottomless pit. When does it change? Or am I stuck with constant hunger till weaning 🤣
