Apple rejected my app 9 times over the dreaded 5.2.3 guideline. Today, it finally passed. Meet Radio Wavr FM on iOS!
Hi everyone,
A while ago, I shared the launch of Radio Wavr FM for Android here. I built it because I was fed up with typical radio apps crammed with bloated interfaces, heavy banner ads, and annoying pop-ups that take forever just to play a simple station. I wanted something clean, fast, straight to the point, and with a reliable background player.
Many of you asked about an iOS version back then. And that’s when my true nightmare began.
If any developer here has ever tried publishing a streaming radio app to the App Store, you probably know the pain of Guideline 5.2.3. After 9 failed attempts, endless automated Apple messages, and being on the verge of throwing in the towel, I finally got it approved.
The app is now officially live on both platforms, fully optimized, featuring CarPlay & Android Auto support, available in 7 languages (Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese), and built to consume minimal battery:

What you'll find in Radio Wavr FM:
- Thousands of FM and digital stations from all over the world, neatly organized by country.
- Minimalist and fluid interface.
- Auto-resume: instantly picks up from the last station you were listening to when you closed the app.
- Sleep timer.
- Interactive map to discover stations based on your geographic location.
- Equalizer and a 5, 10, 15, and 20-second delay feature.
- Fully compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to enjoy your favorite stations on the road.
- Radio Alarm Clock (Premium feature): Set your favorite station to wake you up at the exact time and days of the week you prefer.
Just to be clear: Listening to the radio is 100% free, and any ads won't ever get in the way of your listening experience. Some advanced features are limited, but everything essential for a great radio session is free to use.
If you give it a try, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any bug reports. Any feedback is super appreciated to keep making it better!
Thanks a lot for reading and for all the ongoing support!
