Feedback on Glykon - I have a Gen 2 and 3 Combat Troodon and a Gen 3 Scarab. Curious how the Glykon stacks up

Looking for feedback on Glykon - I have a Gen 2 and 3 Combat Troodon and a Gen 3 Scarab. Depending on the day my favorite between the scarab and Combat Troodon switches. But I saw a Glykon and looking to get feedback on how it stacks up and if it’s better/worse.

2016 Honda Civic engine Miss fire NEED HELP

I’m having trouble with my 2016 Honda civic touring. It has a 1.5L turbo. It has 200k miles and I’m almost at my wits end.

Vehicle Information

* 2016 Honda Civic Touring
* 1.5L Turbo
* Approximately 198,000 miles

Original Symptoms

* Persistent cylinder 4 misfire.
* Misfire was most noticeable on cold starts.
* Once the engine warmed up, the misfire became much less noticeable or disappeared.
* Vehicle drove well under load despite the rough idle.

Initial Repairs Performed

Ignition System

* Replaced all four spark plugs.
* Replaced all four ignition coils with new NGK coils.
* Swapped coils between cylinders during earlier troubleshooting and the misfire did not move.

Fuel System

* Replaced all four direct fuel injectors.

Intake System

* Replaced intake manifold gaskets.
* Replaced throttle body gasket.
* Removed intake manifold.
* Cleaned the intake manifold.
* Cleaned each intake port on the cylinder head.
* Removed a heavy black tar-like buildup from the intake ports.

PCV / Vacuum System

* Replaced the PCV valve.
* Repaired a deteriorated vacuum hose that had crumbled during disassembly.

Vehicle Response After Repairs

Immediately After Repairs

* Engine initially felt worse than before.
* Cleared all diagnostic trouble codes.
* Continued driving to allow the engine to adapt and determine whether anything would improve.

Warm Engine Performance

* Vehicle drove extremely well once warm.
* Approximately 50-minute drive completed with:
* No drivability concerns.
* No noticeable misfire under load.
* Engine felt strong during acceleration.

Cold Start Performance

* The following morning, the rough misfire returned immediately on startup.
* Misfire felt severe during cold idle.
* As engine temperature increased and/or the vehicle was driven under load, the misfire appeared to improve significantly.
* Once fully warm, the engine idled normally.

Current Observations

* Problem is consistently worse during cold starts.
* Engine appears to improve after warming up.
* Engine also appears to improve while driving under load.
* Idle becomes smooth after the engine reaches operating temperature.
* During cold starts, higher RPM operation appears to reduce the severity of the misfire.

Diagnostic Trouble Code History

Originally:

* P0304 – Cylinder 4 Misfire

Later:

* P0301 – Cylinder 1 Misfire
* P0304 – Cylinder 4 Misfire
* P0300 – Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire

Additional Notes

* Heavy carbon/oil “black tar-like” deposits were observed inside the intake manifold and intake ports during disassembly.
* The buildup was cleaned as thoroughly as possible during reassembly.
* Considering using Sea Foam Top Engine Cleaner to continue removing carbon deposits from the intake valves and combustion chambers.

Current Status

* Ignition components have been replaced.
* Fuel injectors have been replaced.
* Intake-related gaskets have been replaced.
* PCV valve has been replaced.
* Damaged vacuum hose has been repaired.
* Intake manifold and intake ports have been cleaned.
* Vehicle continues to exhibit a severe cold-start misfire that largely improves once engine temperature increases or while driving under load.
* Diagnostic trouble codes have progressed from a single-cylinder misfire to multiple-cylinder misfires.

Looking for a new 2011 to add to my CCW rotation; what are peoples thoughts on a 2011 being drop safe? Needed or not?

Hello everyone;

I made a recent post on people thoughts for the C4X and that thing gets an absolute ton of hate just due to price - rightfully so. I live in Md and it’s not on the approved roster yet so I have time before it hopefully gets added in July but looking for other options and or alternatives.

Please no Glock comments. I have plenty of Glocks i rotate. I stoped carrying my Prodigy 4.25 because it turned into to much of a modified race gun for me to feel comfortable to carry. I do have an HD P4.5 that I do summer edc.

I’m a bigger dude and can ccw a full size pistol but am most comfortable with a Glock 19 sized firearm. There are a few 2011s that are glock 19 sized; but staccato seams to be the only game in town for a series 80 that I am aware of.

The P320 sucks and drop safe is in the back of my mind. Should i be for a 2011? And if not; which do people recommend?

Debating on buying the C4X and need peoples opinions please read and comment below

Hello everyone,

So a controversial pistol I believe. I am not rich but I am not broke. I can afford this if I save and I have been. So money isn’t quite the issue. But it is part of the consideration

My perfect pistol is a Glock 19 sized 2011 that is drop safe with a comp. Aka the C4X. However the internet seams to be polarizing with loving and hate this firearm. There are no other series 80 2011’s out there I believe and none that are ccw focused.

Is it me or is there not as much C4X coverage on YouTube?

I’m in Md and still waiting for the C4X to get out of hangun jail. I like watching a ton about stuff before spending money. The videos I have seen have loved it but everyone complaining about the price. But I’d really like to see more shooting and comparisons about it and can’t find too many.

Monsoon for sure got me thinking of the 3.6 and having it ported.

Spa day for the girls: new hand made over strike protector, oiled handles, and finished with a fresh edge

Can someone post and or send me a size comparison: C3.6/C4X/G19

Im looking to buy my next staccato. Have the HD P4.5 and want to get a summer ccw.

They say that the C4X is the size of a Glock 19. But is it a Glock 19 with ramjet? Or a flush glock 19?

And

Is the C3.6 is a Glock 19 lower with a 43X sized slide? Or the actual Glock 19 size?

Could really use insight on which to buy: MS500i or G660 Pro. Read my thoughts below

Good morning everyone,

I’m a home owner that owns 2 acres in the woods. I also have a close friend who owns a farm who I am going to help clear a tree line. I’m also the tree guy in the friend group. I personally cut 8-9 cords of wood a year to burn in the winter. I’ve been doing this for the last 2 years and this year makes 3. I’ve been able to get by with my MS180 (18” bar) and my MS271 (20” bar). I’m probably 45% done cutting for the year and need to split the current rounds to put me at 55-60% for the coming winter.

There are some bigger trees I have to cut up, but realistically nothing I couldn’t barrow a buddy’s 441 or 500i to do. But I like to have my own equipment and I enjoy cutting wood as my hobby. I do have a long splitter but i enjoy building axes and splitting it by hand. That’s my stress reliever and exercise. I am a shop rat for sure, love working on, servicing, tuning, and building things. Don’t mind projects but I also need my tools to work.

The last bullet is where I’m stuck. When I need a saw, I need it. When I grab it I expect it to work and run hard. My ms180 and ms271 have been 100% reliable and I’m worried that the G660 may have some teething issues.

I have a few big trees I’ll need a 25-28” bar for (may go to a 30 just because biggers always better). Ideally I’d like the full wrap handle. I’m a big dude so I could care less about the weight. I wouldn’t be using this thing as a climbing saw either but also recognize swinging these all day takes it out of you.

I’m really struggling with the rational of spending $2k after tax on a 500i when I could buy a G660 Pro for $600 and at the end of the day I’ll hang them up in a month until next year or odd jobs come up.

If I buy the 500i, I’d probably go out of my way to use it more as I like using my toys lol.
