18w sleep please help!

I posted a few days ago about help for my LO. He’s 18W now and we are following 2 hour wake windows, wake up at 7, bed by 8 with a consistent bedtime routine. He has 3-4 naps per day that last between 30-45 mins. He falls asleep independently but starting at 12am he’s awake twice per hour until about 5am where he then sleeps through until wake up.

What are we doing wrong? How can we fix this? I am SO tired!

Switching from breast feeding to formula. Give me tips!

Switching our little guy off breast milk as it’s causing him discomfort and putting him exclusively on formula. Breast feeding is obviously very convenient when you’re out and for night feeds, does anyone have any tips to make formula feeding easier when going out and during the night?

14w suddenly refusing to eat

My 14w old has always been a keen eater (75th percentile!) but in the last week has been refusing to eat. He will breast feed for 2-3 minutes then come off crying with gas which we have never experienced before. Have also tried a bottle which he isn’t really interested in despite always eagerly taking bottles before.

Is this normal at this age? I am also hearing clicking sounds while he breast feeds as if he is losing suction, but he is latching the same way he always has. Feel like we’ve tried everything and nothing is working so any tips would be appreciated!

Can you overfeed a baby?

Our 13w old son is very very chunky. Breastfed all day except for one formula bottle at night before bed. My GP claims you can’t overfeed a baby but is that true? Am I feeding him too much? He breastfeeds for 30 mins at a time if that’s helpful.

13w old sleep

My baby was a great sleeper for a few weeks with one long 6 hour stretch followed by a 3 hour stretch.

Since he turned 12w old his sleep has been awful. Waking up 6-7x per night needing to be resettled and once for a feed.

How can I nip this in the bud? I’m exhausted!!

Do they have real friends?

I always thought their dinner parties were crazy over the top. Are they real friends? I wonder what their network is saying about them now

9w sleep schedule

Let me start by saying I know it’s near impossible to have a ‘schedule’ for a 9w old but need some help with bed time sleep. My baby will sleep about 5 hours for his first stretch of sleep and after that it’s intervals of 1-2 hours. This means than if I want to get a good stretch of sleep I have to go to bed at the same time as him which means keeping him ip until about 9-10pm.

Is there a better way around this? Ive tried a dream feed bur found he wouldn’t wake ip to take the bottle.

Would love to hear what other people are doing!

Issues with reflux and gas at 8w

My 8w old baby has been breastfed and bottle fed since birth with no issues. All of a sudden he is screaming (from what seems like pain) when feeding both from breast and bottle and seems to have a lot of discomfort from gas and reflux.

Has anyone else experienced this coming out of nowhere? Or have any advice on how we can make feeds less painful for him?

Artipoppe alternatives

I was interested in buying an artipoppe (yes I was sucked into the marketing) but have seen it gets a lot of hate here. What would you all recommend instead? Looking for something that looks nice, has good back support and is comfortable for the baby. Thanks!

Struggling with naps

Hi everyone. We have an 8 week old boy whos naps are getting progressively worse. I can get him to take two up until about 2pm and beyond that he absolutely refuses to sleep.

Have tried the snuz pod, the pram, najell sleep carrier, solly baby wrap and even a contact nap on the sofa but nothing works. He obviously then gets progressively more overtired and agitated and by the time it gets to the evening it’s a mess and we can’t get him to sleep until about 9pm.

Does anyone have any tips on getting them to nap? I’ve tried dark room, sound machine, swaddle etc so looking for advice beyond that.

Thank you!

Breast feeding advice

I have a 3w old baby who I’ve been trying to exclusively breast feed but it just seems like he is never satisfied after a feed. He can feed for 40 mins and then be looking for food an 30 mins later. On a few occasions I’ve given him a bottle of formula or expressed milk and it’s the only time I see his body relax. Is this a sign he’s not getting enough milk from me? I’m trying to pump more milk but it’s hard because he’s a Velcro baby and refuses to be put down

Anyone else miss being pregnant?

Had a gorgeous baby a week ago who I love dearly but I am nostalgic for pregnancy, all the appointments, giving birth etc. I even wish I was back in triage just before being sent to the labour ward. I just want to do it all over again! Anyone else feel like that after giving birth and does it pass?

Newborn sleep

Have a lovely baby boy who is almost a week old. Sleeps great during the day but at night will only sleep if he is held which is difficult with safe co sleeping. We have a snuz pod which he hates and a najell sleep carrier which he likes during the day but hates at night. Have tried love to dream swaddles, arms down swaddles, warming the bed up first but no success with anything other than sleeping on my chest.

Anyone have any advice?

38w pregnant and need to buy the remaining items!

What do you wish you had bought to help in the early days?

Any recommendations for good muslin cloths (size and how many?) and swaddles?
