Had tons of fun playing reconnaissance with the renegade raiders detachment. Felt actually like playing the fallen since I had to move and run away a lot from my oponent who was playing purge the foe, truly "being hunted" vibes. Might also try other detachments and dispositions to figure out which has the most fallen vibe. Which ones are you guys currently playing?
I've been trying to print different armies on my bambu lab a1 mini with different degrees of success. Orks and Marines were my little happy place but I wanted to explore further. During my search I've found some old retro guard and sisters files and I was stoked due to how easy they print on a tabletop good enough quality.
First they are smaller than regular minis, which makes it faster, they are also whole piece most of the time, so no time spent attaching things together, and they are chunky so even though they come whole I can just tilt the mini a bit and it prints easily.
Did anyone else had such experiences? Maybe this is the easiest way to print tyranids easily as well since older models might be better too?
Stopped playing around 7th due to personal stuff, getting back now on 11th.
I own a reasonable collection of firstborn marines, plenty of tactical squads, assault, devastators, bikes, land speeders, boxy dreads, rhinos, razorbacks, vindicators, predators, etc, etc.
Looking at the current state of Space Marines I guess 70-80% of my whole collection is or will be useless in the very near future if I want to keep it loyal.
But turning to chaos, I could keep almost everything, and the size difference from my old firstborn to the newest csm is pretty much negligible.
What would you do? Any old timer here to give some advice?

I've been wanting to start one for years now, and now there is good pricing on both the Battleforce and Combat Patrol at my LGS, so I'm very tempted to buy both and then something more just to get to 2k and start playing. Thing is I know the kit is quite old and everyone is mentioning a new refresh anytime soon. Should I wait for the refresh or get what I want now?
Just wanted to share these guys here! Had tons of fun painting them.
Got this image on google images while searching for inspirations for my 30k color themed army which Im about to start. Should I go for white or red robes, what do you think?
Hi all, I'm an old casual player coming back since 7th ed. Want to use my old dark angel dudes as a fallen renegade CSM warband using the Renegade Warband detachment to not use dark pacts, and because it sounds like a detachment simpler to learn.
The list in my head would involve legionaries, termies, and tanks. I'm thinking about running the following strategy and units:
Termie lord/sorcerer with weaponized hatred + 5 termies + a kitbashed cypher on a land raider running mid.
Fabius bile(kitbashed apothecary and servitor haha) + 10 legionaries on a rhino somewhere else.
2 vindicators, one for each lane I'm pushing.
Predator destructor for support and screening.
5 red corsair raiders to infiltrate early.
10 cultists(actually old metal scouts lol) base screening.
3 bikes screening.
Termies and raptors on deepstrike, still figuring out how many.
What do you guys think? Make sense as a list to get back to playing while having fun and being able to win some games?
Printed on A1 Mini with 0.2 nozzle, using bambu slicer and tree auto supports. I lowered the layer height to 0.06 but unsure if it makes any difference from 0.08 really. I did some drybrushing but following the layer lines which I think is a great technique for fdm minis, but I'm still learning.
It may not be perfect and for sure I can do some adjustments, but I seriously never thought we would be able to print stuff as tiny as a toothpick with a FDM printer!!
As someone who can't afford minis because they cost too much in my country and can't have a resin printer at home this is a dream coming true!
This was done on A1 mini with 0.2 nozzle.
