First tank is almost complete! I'm just going to add some rope to secure the stowage and then try my luck at building my first diorama. It's been a fun learning experience, and I'm looking forward to bringing this Sherman to life

1/48 early‑production M4 Sherman — first tank build.

I started with all‑OD stowage but the values were too close and everything merged into the hull.

I introduced khaki tones for contrast, but now I’m debating whether it looks natural or out of place.

For those familiar with US armor:

would mixed tones like this be realistic for field‑used stowage, or should I shift the palette again? Any critique is welcome.

Calorie deficit

Is 1,600 calories still considered a deficit for me?

I'm a 34-year-old male, 5'7", and on May 20th I weighed 215 lbs. As of today, I'm down to 195 lbs.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been eating around 1,000 calories per day, but I'm starting to realize how difficult that is to maintain long term. I'm considering increasing my intake to around 1,600 calories and was wondering if that would still be considered a calorie deficit for someone my size.

I currently work out 3 times per week in my garage using dumbbells and barbells, but I don't do much additional cardio.

Has anyone with similar stats made the jump from a very aggressive deficit to something more sustainable? Did fat loss continue at a good pace?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Strength imbalance

34-year-old male, 5'7", 195 lbs.

I've noticed that when doing dumbbell tricep exercises and chest workouts, I seem to feel the work much more in my right arm than my left. I'm right-handed, and I also recently realized that I can easily flex my right trap, but I have a hard time doing the same with my left.

My form feels pretty solid overall, so I'm wondering if this is a muscle imbalance, a mind-muscle connection issue, or something else. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

What's the best way to correct the imbalance? Should I add extra unilateral work, lower the weight, focus more on tempo, or try something else?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Feedback wanted

Male, 34 years old, 5’7”, currently 207 lbs. About a week and a half ago I was 212, and I’ve been roughly around 210 for the last 10 or so years.

I’m currently in a calorie deficit, keeping calories around 900–1000/day, with a goal weight of 185.

One thing I’m oddly worried about is loose skin around my abdomen as I lose weight.

For anyone who’s gone through a similar cut, what are some preventive measures I can take to help my skin stay relatively tight during the process?

Any feedback, tips, or personal experiences are appreciated.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for advice on the best methods for pinwashing. Everything has been painted with acrylics. Do I need to apply a varnish beforehand, and if so, what kind works best? Also, what do you recommend using and do you have any tips for getting clean results?
