Hi all!

My mom, 52, is feeling really down about her skin. I think that she is absolutely gorgeous, and many people think that she is younger than she really is.. but she has some of the typical signs of aging, i.e fine lines, looser skin, spots and some dullness. Her skin is also on the dryer side, and she isn’t too sensitive to most ingredients.

She is going to start using tretinoin, but otherwise her routine is pretty well non-existent.

So, if you could create a routine for her, what products would you recommend? I’m thinking cleanser, serum, moisturizer, and spf.. but anything you can think of will be appreciated!

We’re also aware that, truthfully, the only thing to REALLY make a difference would be the more invasive treatments.. but I know that skincare would be a start!

Any and all help and advice is appreciated. What are your HGs for aging skin? Thank you so much!

Hi all! I (21F) just started investing in early August of this year, and so far I’ve basically put all 7k of my TFSA and all 8k of my FHSA into XEQT.

I know that XEQT is already, in itself, diversified. But that just seems too good to be true! Again, I’m very new to this, so that’s likely why I can’t wrap my head around such a fantastic concept.. like, I ONLY need to buy XEQT? Sounds like a dream.

So, is there really nothing that I could pair XEQT with that would help me in the long run? I’m playing the retirement game here, so I don’t expect any “short squeezes” or whatnot. Just looking for something that can help me down the line.

But, if XEQT is really all I need, I’m happy with that too! I think part of my anxiety stems from the fact that all my money is in one basket… even though this basket consists of, like, a thousand other baskets. It’s just a mental block, I think.

I’m totally new to the world of investments, and all the information is quite daunting given I don’t yet understand much of this territory. For you more experienced investors, what advice would you give to an absolute beginner who is hoping to see long-term growth in her TFSA? What industries should I be looking at, which sources do you find helpful? Whether it be books, blogs, YouTube videos, anything, all suggestions are appreciated!

I’ve put a small amount of money into hydrogen so far, but I’ve been considering buying into some Canadian ETFs as well. Would this be a good move in the long run? Thank you all so much in advance, any pointers would help a ton!

Did you know about the 400 acre data proposed to be built near Beaumont? The proposed address is 24549 Township Rd, 502. That’s a bit close to home, no? Only 20 minutes from century park. And what’s more, is it’s just ONE of THREE centres proposed to be built in Edmonton’s IMMEDIATE VICINITY by the Beacon group. I’ve attached a map for your reference in the comments.

Since they are still in the proposal stage and have not been approved, I strongly suggest that we make our voices heard on this matter. Let them know that we don’t want this.

Noise and light pollution, Nitrous Oxide emissions, massive e-waste (lead, mercury, forever chemicals, etc) and the impact on our electric bills and water is a definite no-go for me, especially so close to us. Nevermind the fact that the Saunders location alone will take up 400 acres and has requested 300 000 gallons of water per day, from Leduc County.

I understand that data centres will inevitably be built (though I do not support them for obvious reasons) but a centre so close to us is just awful.

I’m picking up an fx3 this week (first ever camera, I’m excited!) however I’m struggling with picking out a good starter lens.

For reference, I intend to use it for more creative and cinematic work (my insta is fidofilmss, to give you a better visual) and I’d like something that can make that a reality.

I’m hoping to find something for less than $1000, however I’m open to all suggestions as there are many secondhand lenses available online that I can turn to as well:) thank you!
