What would your reaction be if you found out our universe was actually a single cell of a large creature?
reddit.comFinally finished Comrades! Screenshots + my thoughts
Overall way too grindy. I had to take a lot of breaks because I got bored of the grind. I really wish they had different classes based on the main party members, but unfortunately they playstyle is the same as Noctis. However, each weapon type feels mechanically different so the combat is more varied and more fun than playing as Noctis in the main game. Although if you didn't like the main game because of the combat then Comrades definitely won't be enjoyable.
It is really cool to create your own character and see how the world is apocalyptic in between the 10 year gap Noctis is gone. And there's quite a bit of different clothing customization, and it's also cool that your character shows up in a side quest during the last chapter.
I didn't hate the entirety of it, and it was kind of fun to an extent. I just wasn't a fan of the very minimal story and how grindy it was. However, if you really like the gameplay loop of getting parts from enemies and using that to craft weapons that can have very different stats depending on what you use then you'll love this. Testing out different builds and doing a lot of trial and error is where the real gameplay is. It just wasn't really for me. Once I looked up a build guide I enjoyed it a lot more because I had more of a goal on what to craft.
The character DLC's add a lot to the game, but this DLC I'd say you could safely skip without missing much of the story. It's also significantly longer and I can easily see why this was sold as a separate game at one point. Just be prepared that it is not the open world gameplay of the main game, it's a lot of repeating combat missions and crafting weapons.
Was r/askouija created by the aliens that built Stonehenge and the White House? Ancient astronaut theorists say “_____!”
reddit.comWhich race has spear animations that feel more like FF14’s dragoons or classic FF dragoons?
I played this game in 2020 where I used a galka and I think the galka look cool but I like dragoons and the main thing that bothered me was that the spear animations felt more like he was holding a greataxe with occasional stabs. I’m wanting more of where they hold the spears like they do in FF14 or maybe the way Kain holds spears. I’m fine with occasional slashes but I’d prefer it to be 99% stab attacks.
My GF offended me by cooking my dead cat, but at the same time it was delicious. How do I hint that we should eat more cats while acting like I disapprove?
reddit.comSome of the Creator Network let’s plays feel like ads
A while back I was doing a survival island playthrough where I was on Sulani, had no simoleans, off the grid and simple living lot challenges. I didn’t really know what I was doing so I decided to watch a rags to riches let’s play.
I won’t say who it was, but I watched a Cottage Living rags to riches by someone in the Creator Network because I wanted to see how others were doing it with the simple living challenge. I expected a little bit of him exploring the world or trying out Cottage Living features because it was new at the time and I’m sure he was excited, but it was insane.
The video started off where he’s talking in-depth about the simple living challenge which was fine, but a little long. Then he goes over to the market and talks about how you can get ingredients. Normally people would go “here’s something that’ll be useful later” and then get to the gameplay. But he was talking about it way too long. Then he talked about the quest board, and I don’t even remember if he even accepted a quest but spent a lot more time talking about it without actually doing anything with it.
Then some townie walked by and he paused to talk about the lore for the Cottage Living townies and went out of his way to look for another townie. Then he goes off and finds this tree stump and goes into depth about how you can befriend animals.
At this point I quit because it was about 20 minutes into the video, his character is sitting at 0 simoleans, I haven’t seen any rags to riches gameplay, and the entire thing has been him talking extensively about random Cottage Living features. It might’ve been exciting when it was brand new but it was painful to watch when it’s been out for years. It really felt like a bait and switch where I was watching a really long ad for something that’s been out for years.
What a nice girl, just trying to make sure her boyfriend doesn’t get scammed.
New player here and I’m super excited to start playing!
Hi guys, I’m a brand new player and cannot wait to start the FF14 free trial! I’ve heard amazing things about this game, wish me luck! I’m excited to find out what’s going to happen, but I have no idea since I’m 100% brand new to this game!
Edit: Ok yes, I’ll admit I’m not literally playing for the first time. But I mean come on, obviously by the time you saw this I had already started playing.
Edit 2: Yeah ok I did start playing a little bit before making this post but 5 years isn’t that long ago! I only finished a little bit of the Dawntrail patches but I haven’t even started Evercold so obviously I’m new!
Anyone else like Frutiger Aero but wouldn’t actually want to use old Windows aesthetics?
I know it sounds ironic. I love the more 3D glossy aesthetic of Frutiger Aero, especially the old IOS icons. However, when it’s just straight up Windows 7 UI and the default desktop background my brain just associates it with slow computers. But then everything else about I love and I even think the Windows 7 UI looks better than Windows 10/11. The problem is I just can’t get past that association.
You gain $10M but your life is now dictated by Reddit
You get paid $10M tax free but now every single decision you make is now controlled by Redditors. Whenever you need to make a decision you have to make a Reddit post and whatever the most upvoted response is will be what you’re forced to do. You can provide as much context as you want in the posts, but if the most upvoted comment is bad advice you would’ve ignored based on other context in your life you didn’t mention you still have to go through with it. For example, if the most upvoted comment is from an anti-car person that says you should never use a car even if it’s Uber or a rental and you take a vacation to a rural place with no buses or trains you now have to walk everywhere.
Your opinions are not affected but your behavior is. For example, if you watch a movie and really like it you now have to make a post asking how good the movie was. If the most upvoted comment says it’s bad you’ll now be unable to watch it again or barely watch it even if you love it. This also extends into political beliefs. If you end up getting a really evil response that’s upvoted the most you know have to go by what it says even if you internally disagree. Another example would be if the most voted comment says that snow no longer exists you will now act visibly surprised if you see snow even if you know it actually is real.
You are affected by comments taken literally. So any exaggerations or sarcasm without someone using /s will have full control over you as if it was fully serious.
I love it when the next post directly answers the previous one
Relic grinding is really wearing me down
I’ve been relic grinding and continuously running dungeons and fighting mobs to make slow progress is really wearing me down. Every time I run a dungeon I’m met with “Meowdy” or “Hello everybun uwu :3.” Everyone keeps yelling at me because I like to tank without my tank stance on or because I use lancer instead of dragoon because I don’t like the floor tank meme. Also not my fault when I play healer and only heal my girlfriend. I’m also an old school MMO player that doesn’t believe in using abilities, I like to just tab target and watch my character auto-attack. I do this all the time when I’m the tank.
Anyway I’m actually a politician with access to nukes. I’m going to hire NASA to launch a bunch of satellites to see if aliens have developed MMO’s that are less grindy. If I don’t see these alien MMO’s or aliens in general I feel like humanity should be wiped out. I know it’s probably a bad idea but every “Meowdy” makes me want to launch a ton of nukes. What should I do guys?
I had a dream I was working for a company I thought was sketchy and then I ended up giving evil aliens a powerful object.
A couple months ago I had a dream I was working for this weird company that was doing secret stuff I didn’t understand. During the dream I never saw any employees and it was just this big empty building that wasn’t lit up aside from light coming in windows. And then my brother was also working for the company but he was being really weird, his eyes were black, and I thought he was mind-controlled or possessed. I thought the company was really shady and responsible for my brother’s condition.
I then ended up sneaking into a restricted section and there were these purple and red aliens imprisoned. I couldn’t speak their language but then in the room there was some translator device I used. One of the aliens said they were wrongfully imprisoned and needed a device called “lubellum” which for some reason was literally in that room so I gave it to him.
Then I went to my brother and all of a sudden went back to normal. I told him what I did and then he kind of scolded me for not trusting him and he said he had been fine. He then said the aliens were evil and lubellum was a powerful device capable of destroying universes.
Would you date someone who’s extremely attractive but talks like ChatGPT?
They’re single and the most attractive person you’ve ever seen and they’re interested in you. However, they talk just like ChatGPT where almost everything they say sounds like it has bullet list format. They also frequently use every common AI phrase. They do this completely unironically and no matter how many times you show comparisons to AI, they cannot see the resemblance.
I made an alternate life challenge based on the idea of not being able to control your starting circumstances
I made a challenge where you go from an infant to elder trying to accomplish your IRL goals, except you start off in a completely randomized family. You can pretty much only control yourself and you can only have your family members do stuff based on their own aspirations and wants. Before you're a young adult you have a lot of travel restrictions and some things your parents will just do to simulate not having much control at that age. It does kind of open up and become a more normal playthrough once you're a young adult, but you still have the same very limited control over your spouse and kids.

No, using Curseforge is not funding genocide
In light of recent events I wanted to clarify misinformation. A lot of people believe that adrev from Curseforge is going to the IDF. In 2023 it is true that Overwold did setup a donation campaign to the IDF but then after a few days switched their donation campaign to offering relief instead. These were both completely separate from what Curseforge makes from adrev.

I’m not here to defend the initial donation campaign (I also don’t like that initial one), just offering clarification for if anyone was worried that using Curseforge was contributing to the IDF. You can still use Modrinth or Prism if you want, I don’t care. This is just to clear up misinformation.
I recorded this last July and am not 100% sure what it is. It was doing this for a while but when I thought to record I only captured the last 2 grunts. I used a video editor to increase the volume.
I live in a wooded area where deer are common. Bears, mountain lions, and moose live here so that should give you an idea of the type of wildlife around. I posted this in a group chat and one person thought it was a cow, but the only cow somewhat nearby would’ve had to be really loud or got loose and wandered far.
