I ordered food from a merchant a couple of miles away today. I dash on the weekends, so I always tip decent initially and add onto the tip according to service. I had a great dasher. I went ahead and tipped an additional $9.00 in cash when my dasher arrived. When my order arrived, my dasher told me about how they almost didn’t accept my order because of how their last order went, and it made me so sad! (A customer was not only rude, but had the dasher carting multiple cases of water and soda up three flights of stairs - and of course, the customer didn’t tip). The dasher was so happy when I handed them the cash. It made me feel like I did a good thing and it was very heartfelt. I love orders like this - though they’re not very often. I also rated the dasher 5-stars and clicked all positive things (including the “above and beyond”). Just wanted to share a positive experience - we see so many bad ones.
