Original 2600 and new 2600+ at VP CON
The Wisconsin Computer Club had a display set up with both a retro Atari 2600 and one of the new 2600+ machines side by side with both old games and some of the new games from Atari Age.

wisconsincomputerclub.comTremendous thanks to all who came to the CREATE show!
Tremendous thanks to all who packed the CREATE Portage County community room tonight, that show was a blast! Between the networked games and all the new and old consoles, this was a ton of fun!
This was so cool in 2002
This old PS2 has a very skater-cool skull skin wrap on it, which is pretty cool. Got this from the fine folks at Cheeky Monkey Games (West Bend, Wisconsin) who sent it our way as it had a lot of technical problems, and they said very few folks want these with old skins left on old consoles, and they're a pain to get off. Lucky for them, I think it's groovy!
We're gonna fix this one, and you'll see it at future WCC events!
LAN Party at CREATE on Friday May 15th
CREATE Portage County and the Wisconsin Computer Club are hosting a free multiplayer game night and LAN party at the CREATE space on the northside (in the former St. Joseph's chapel building, 1300 Maria drive, Stevens Point, across from Pacelli High School) on Friday May 15th at 6PM! If all hardware cooperates, we'll be hosting Xboxes and PC hardware for multiplayer fun, plus some fan favorite video game consoles for all to enjoy. This event is free and open to all ages and skill levels.
Photos above are from last month's event, though the exact lineup/layout of systems will vary a bit this time around.
I hope you can join us to game on!
The Game Night at the Museum was fun!
The Wisconsin Computer Club was invited to the Marathon County Historical Society's Game Night at the Museum, and it was a great time!
The TRS-80 Color Computer MC-10 came to a retro game night in Wausau Wisconsin
This is a TRS-80 MC-10 with the Pi-Key expansion mod installed. It adds support for a USB keyboard and two 9-pin joystick ports (or Genesis controllers, if you're feeling fancy). It sets the whole computer up like a tower with the stand. Folks seemed to have a pretty good time playing around with it, and the MC-10 port of Pac Man is really quite good.
Join the Wisconsin Computer Club on Friday, May 15th at CREATE Portage County (1300 Maria Drive, Stevens Point) at 6PM for a multiplayer game night featuring an Xbox LAN party! There will still be other games set up as well. This free event is open to all ages and abilities- come join in the fun!
We were able to save the working "guts" of this Grape tray load Apple iMac G3, as it's original case was used to make a cat bed or something. What would you do with this one?
Full inventory is on the WCC website under the Central Wisconsin CRT Preserve tab.
This old machine was built as a gaming PC back in 2003, but was bound for recycling until someone in the WCC saved it. Now it's back to work playing Unreal Tournament at our shows!
The WCC has been scrambling to intercept TVs bound for the Portage County recycling event on Saturday, and we've been very successful!
If you need a CRT TV set (ranging from 9" to 24" with varying inputs) or VGA computer monitor and can make it to Stevens Point Wisconsin, reach out! These sets are free to a good home!
Hello all! Welcome to the WCC subreddit thing, where the WCC chatter and whatnot can spill over onto everyone's favorite social media(?) site! Feel free to post about projects, ask questions, show off your retro hardware, check out stuff from shows and more!
We're glad to have you with us!
