Do Misuzu and Mikami reappear in the novel after the finale?

I've become really invested in them and wanted to know if the novel has given any news regarding their status. Also, how often do new volumes come out? I saw Vol 8 was released in Dec 2024 meaning it's been a while since the last one

Currently playing Fates "Birthright"

In Chapter 11, and so far so good. The cast have good designs and distinctive personalities. However im already lost in how many are bother and sisters. Well, doubt it will make much of a difference.

You can only choose one to get the remake treatment

A reminder that Revelations 1 was apparently discussed as one game to consider making a Remake of. However if it was up to you, which one would you prefer. For me 1 all the way. Rev2 feels all over the place

Playing on Nightmare difficulty and getting my rear absolutely destroyed in all kinds of ways but loving every damn second of it

A long time ago i beat the game in Normal and later tried it on hard, but due to lack of time, dropped it. Now that Alien Isolation 2 is seemingly coming out sooner rather than later, my Alien hype has gone through the roof, so I decided to replay it in the hardest mode. So far? It is a challenge, but I'm not complaining. I don't remember dying as much in a long time.

Just finished reading the The Boys and Dear Becky and god was it good!

So, I'm basically someone who dropped the TV show halfway through Season 3. No real reason why, life happened, and I simply lost track of it.

Anyway, ever since the show started, I'd heard that the comic version was "bad." After seeing all the news about the show ending, I said, why not? Believe me when I say I was impressed. I found the comic to be really enjoyable. I'm not usually someone who enjoys excessive gore or overly sexual content, but I managed to get through it and discovered a genuinely engaging story.

I do have a couple of complaints, however. For example, Annie doesn't get very involved in the main plot. She doesn't even get a proper fight scene, which was disappointing, but it's something I can live with. The Deep, while smarter than his TV counterpart, also hardly does anything. On the other hand, I found Butcher somehow more wholesome than his TV counterpart, and the dynamic between The Boys felt more like a dysfunctional, cute family, which is something I never really got from the show.

I can understand some of the complaints about the finale, especially regarding Butcher killing The Boys, but I thought it fit the way his character had been written up to that point. It was sad, but I didn't hate it. I was also surprised by how Homelander wasn't actually as central to the plot as I expected. The Black Noir plot twist was really good too, even if it ended up being relatively short-lived.

Overall, I enjoyed seeing all these bizarre teams and messed-up characters that probably could never have made it into the show. And Dear Becky was a great and very wholesome way to end everything. I loved Hughie and Anne's relationship a lot.

That said, I'll admit that at certain points it was a struggle to read because of the way some characters talk, haha. Still, that adds to their personalities, so it's ok.

If I had to name my two favorite characters, they'd be Hughie and James Stillwell. As for the latter, I still have no idea what the hell happened to him to end up the way he did in Dear Becky. Such a shocker and a damn shame too. Dude was stone cold all the way till that point.

Anyway, bloody good comic!

Requiem Classic play is the first game I'm replaying since forever

Words can't describe how happy I am that Requiem turned out to be so good. I love this game, and the fact that I’m already replaying it, which is super unusual for me, proves it. I started a Classic playthrough because the regular one felt too easy, and I have to say, I’m really impressed. I’ve died more times than I can count. At first, I was wary of this mode because when I tried it in Resident Evil 1 Remake, it annoyed me more than anything. Dying over and over, having to return to the vault because of limited space, and the overall experience just felt frustrating as hell. But in Requiem, I actually welcome the challenge.

Anyway, it feels good to finally have a game you were looking forward to actually turn out great for once. God knows I was disappointed by Gears Reloaded, Metal Gear Delta, and, more recently, Tomodachi Life.

So let me see if I’ve got this right, this handheld will be an all digital console, capable of running PS4, PS5, and PS6 games. It would basically be the Xbox Series S of the generation, meaning it would receive continued support and run slightly downgraded versions of PS6 games. Doesn’t that sound amazing? The main problem with current PC handhelds is how expensive they are, and how annoying they can be to use due to Windows. Not to mention that most games are developed with consoles in mind first and foremost, so they are not properly optimized, and you can't be sure a new game 5 years from now will be playable on it or not. A PS6 handheld wouldn’t have to deal with those issues and could deliver properly optimized games, and certainty that every new game released in the generation will be supported. Having to pay for online aside, this honestly sounds like the PS6 handheld could become the ultimate handheld console.

Do you usually have set rules when it comes to buying a game physically or digitally? These are mine basically. Wanted to know how are yours.

  1. Buy digital if the game has an amazing sale going on

  2. Buy digital if the game is a key card

  3. Buy digital if both the physical and digital version of the game are the same price

  4. If the game is one I am obsessed about and want to play it 24/7. Digital to get rid of the chore of picking the cartridge

  5. Buy digital If the physical copy of a game is not available at stores

  6. Buy digital/physical depending on the price
