Charging for parking has become egregious. Total BS. Just another stupid tax. So pissed off about this. I know I know, everyone's going to say simodown but holy.

Four random Marriotts in four random middle of nowhere places in America. All of them charging anywhere from $5 to $15 for parking. What is this horseshit? I can't believe they're so scummy. The placement now charges $10 the girl said, the previous management company was charging $3. Absolute shitbirds. Anyway that's my rant. Enjoy your day, I'll enjoy mine. Heading out to play some disc golf in Minnesota.

Edit: I understand charging for parking. I have no problem with that when I'm someplace where parking lot rent is expensive. But these are just parking lots in random hotels on the outskirts of a city. Just feels like a blatant money grab to me. Not to mention I've been traveling for 35 years, and this is brand new. At least in the Marriott family. I get it, if I'm in Manhattan or San Francisco. Sure. Traditional. I don't know I guess I'm just a whiny baby. Work pays for it, but they discouraged us from staying places with with parking fees. And that's because they don't want us staying in downtown Chicago when we're working an hour outside of the city. But now you can be outside of any City and still pay for parking. Thank you for everyone's comments.

Not complaining, just thought this was funny. On climb out of PHX just now the clouds were super cool so I took a couple of pictures. I close the window and find that the good snacks went past me.

Not satire but mostly a shit post. I see aisle eating his pistachios. Looking up I see the FA putting away the snack basket. She soon walks past and I asked why I was skipped, she said, "you weren't paying attention, you were too busy taking pictures". Ha. I thought maybe I didn't hear her clearly and asked he to repeat what she said. "You weren't paying attention". I said, sorry, you are correct, I wasn't. But would have been nice for her to work a bit to get my attention. AITA?

Was given a 28-in by a neighbor. Christened it last night with smashburgers. Tonight was birria tacos.

Used Amy and Jackie's pressure cooker recipe. Couldn't have been more happy. Stone Cold killer. I am in love with my Blackstone.

We made some street corn and cilantro lime rice.

Just downloaded the newest version. Every file I try to DL from the search is a .scr. what just happened?

Not sure what happened I just patched to to 5.2.3, and every single file in my search is a .scr? Movie/tv show whatever. I've never run into this before. What's going on?

My first year with interesting tubers. Every other year was just a couple of overwintered local farm stand containers. Anyway I'm addicted.

Puzzle is disappearing between devices. This is the third time in 3 weeks. What am I doing around?

This is between a Galaxy tablet and Android phone. I can be halfway through the puzzle on one device, open it up on a different device and it's either missing some answers or like today, the entire puzzle is empty. Last time I did it it was complete on one device but then when I opened it on the other half of my answers were gone.

I'm guessing this has to do with not closing it completely before changing devices. And yes I've said devices far too many times.

Does anyone else experience this and might they have a workaround?

100-Year-Old oak with what appears to be slime flocks at a major intersection. Also found non-stop ants going up and down the tree. Carpenter ant style ants 🙂

100 plus-year-old oak in the Boston Massachusetts suburbs, this is a relatively new blackish region. Google told me it was slime flux, but I'm not convinced. I've also noticed many large black ants constantly going up and down the tree.

I'm concerned about the section that is to the right of that black stain, it's large and looks heavy and fear it may collapse. I imagine what I need to do is get an arborist here to take a look, or maybe pest control to take care of the ants? I've put diazanon crystals or whatever they're using these days around the base a few times, but it hasn't slowed down the ant's progression.

Any advice is welcome.

I don't think the horn gets mentioned enough. It's the perfect combination of toot toot and what's up! My wife's Tiguan, when you tap it once it sounds like you're telling the world to eat a bag of dicks!

Not a Tim and Eric bit I promise, but seriously the horn is just perfect for saying hello to someone or trying to shoo a random animal. But it also has some gravitas, I can lay on it and really let those kids cross in the street know I mean business.

Why does my flow rate narrow a few times a night?

Every night I have 2-5 sections of my flow rate that are oddly narrow? Any thoughts?

Finally getting to hang of the pizza steal. Chicken bacon ranch.

Oven at 550° for an hour, then broiler for 10 minutes. Steel was on the top shelf slid the pizza in and maybe 6 minutes later received this beauty. This is just grocery store Neapolitan dough, I didn't remember to start my dough yesterday. Anyway it came out really good, light airy chewy. Stop& Shop Massachusetts by the way.

2021 Tiguan, AC blows slightly cold from the far left vent and then gets progressively warmer to the right. I'm thinking blend door but I'm finding very little info about how to reset or investigate.

Subject says it all, 2021 started blowing warm from the center left vent all the way to the right. The left vent is slightly cold but not super cold. I'm thinking blend door, I've seen this on other vehicles but I've never dealt with one in this particular car. Not finding a whole lot of information out there regarding blend door Tiguan.

Any help would be welcomed. Thank you.

MyAir app update is stupid. Why can't they just leave well enough alone?

What is it with these app designers? Always having to make changes to something that isn't broken. Now when you click directly on mask seal, as I do every morning, it just takes you to the usage hours page. And then you have to click another spot to get to leaks. I know it's not a big deal, but why do they have to change things? It didn't improve anything, it only added an extra click.

Looking to run conduit under this sidewalk. Was going to use the water pressure PVC pipe method, have others tried this and had success? Otherwise I'm going to just cut a groove with a rented gas skill saw.

So yeah I guess the title says it all. Has anyone tried this water pressure under the sidewalk method? I'm just having trouble understanding how I'm going to go straight under without digging a 5-ft trench to keep the PVC flat. I'll check out some YouTube videos I guess but I thought I'd hit everyone up here at the same time.

I just flew on Delta from Boston to San Francisco. Packed a roller bag with treehouse beer in cans. Five cans to a heavy duty Ziploc. Well padded with bubble wrap and foam. It appears that holes were punctured into two of the cans through the bags. Is this common?

Not really a huge deal, but two cans were obviously punctured from outside of the bags. The beer just poured out inside of the bag, and interestingly enough all over my son's roller bag that was checked at the same time. It was obvious that it was not due to pressure changes or temperature. Clear hole Right through the bag and into the can. I guess I'm just curious if this is common practice. And if it is, is there something I can do in advance to avert this situation. Thank you.

Edit: The puncture holes are through the Ziploc bags into the cans. Not through the actual bag itself.

Packed beer that I checked on Delta in its own bag seemingly punctured by TSA.

I packed 16 treehouse cans, five to a bag. Big Ziploc heavy duty bags. When the bag came off the carousel it was soaked with beer. When we opened it we saw that two cans had holes punctured in them through the heavy duty Ziploc bags. Is this common practice? Delta Boston to San Francisco.
