It’s been a while since I’ve been able to Mountain Bike, so I’ve started scouting out trails. It looks like the single track at Espenscheid** **in Cherry Valley is closed to bikes. Am I tracking right? When/what happened?

As an aide: It looks like the trails in Atwood are ok (except when soggy - Hence the scouting and not biking). I’ve never ridden there, any feedback?

Aside #2: Any MTB clubs/groups in the area that can tolerate a semi-out of shape empty-nester?

I’ll be in Tempe mid-August. Are there currently any good games being dealt? Any with lower minimums?

I got lazy this month. Normally I split all the pills in the bottle at once, this month, I’ve split one as needed, and put the unneeded half back. I’m 20 days into the month, and have not gotten a half pill yet. The odds are beyond my probability class grades.

So given:
• A full bottle is 45 pils
• A pill is shaken out
• If it’s a whole pill, it’s split, and the unneeded half us put back
• We’ll assume the likelihood of shaking out a whole pill and a half pill are equal.

Can we make a general equation for the likelihood of shaking out a split pill?

Can we make a cumulative distribution that we’ve not seen a split pill on day N?

I have two eero 7 Maxes (not yet installed) and I was wondering if I can put a switch between them and have a MineCraft server be DMZed? Or is it simpler than that and I can just use port forwarding to send the few ports needed directly to the intended machine?

I have a new Frontier/Verizon Fiber install w/2 eero Max 7s. I want to put the erros at opposite ends of the house and on separate floors. I currently have the 7GB service (promos put the first year at essentially the same price as the 1GB service), so I don’t want cabling to be the limiting factor. I’d have about a 45’/15m run from the ONT to the primary eero, and then about 100’/35m run from the primary to the secondary eero.

• Do I need CAT7/8 or will CAT6A be good for those distances?
• If CAT7/8 isn’t necessary, would either give better performance than CAT6A over those distances?

I have a brand new install with two eero Max 7 routers. They left me with one 14’ CAT6A cable. What’s the longest cable i can run from the ONT to the primary eero? Whats the longest cable i can run from the primary to the secondary eero? Does that change with a CAT7 or CAT8 cable?

Spouse is a few months older than I (1% older, at this point), and really starting to slow down. Some of it is health-related, but most of it doesn’t seem to be, and all accommodations/adjustments are shot down.

Anybody been through this? Any suggestions?

We’re empty-nesters now, and I’m wanting to get back into doing things (camping, hiking, biking) that we didn’t do while the kids were in Middle School and High School.

My SV08 is approaching its 1st Birthday and I’ve started having troubles with QGL. Frequently (2 or 3 out of 5-ish), the first attempt will fail with “Too many Tries”, but if I immediately re-print, it will succeed on the first attempt.

Is this a sign of loose belts? There’s a super thin smear of filament on the edge of the probe. I don’t think that’s affecting anything, but could it?

I’m having Frontier Fiber installed with a dual eero mesh setup. I’ll eventually want to do a wired back-haul, but I won’t need that initially.

The plan, at this point, is to have the ONT nearest the fiber drop, put the primary eero Max7 and in my home office, run one the “other” 10GbE port to a switch in the office and then use MOCA 2.5GbE to back-haul the other eero Max7.

But, that’s just based on looking at the ports on the eero Max7, and making a lot of assumptions. But what really is required for a new install?
* What cables come into the house?
* What port(s) coming out of the ONT are used?

Given driveways, sidewalks, etc. the fiber will have to come into the opposite side of the house where I want the “primary” eero to be.
* How close does the ONT need to be near where I want the “primary” eero to be?
* Does the ONT connect to the 10GbE port on the eero Max7?
* Do I have to use the other 10GbE port to connect to the other eero Max7?
* If so, can a 10GbE capable switch be between them?
* Can I run the ONT into a 10GbE switch and then the two eero Max7s and the few other 10GbE devices off the switch?
* Would I loose much real-world throughput using 2.5GbE (over MOCA, if that matters) as wired back-haul?

It’s been a while since I’ve purchased a physical PreCon. I just purchased two decks because I had an unexpected chance to play. The last two I bought (Final Fantasy) came with codes that allowed you to play the deck in Arena. Was that a short term special?
