I wonder how many different colors and variations of sunflowers there can be.

Some have been bought, some are past years seedlings. It seems I have 3 colors, but still have around 30ish left to open. I wonder if the variance in colors is due to different varieties, or if cross pollination of seedlings caused blended colors. In any case I am living the colors so

For some reason this plate of melon rinds was so aesthetically pleasing, it didn’t even look real. Melon was a skin of the toad melon. I think some call it a Santa Claus Melon.

Southern KS, United States. These sibling elm are majestic. Look at the incredibly wide and low canopy of these elm tree. I don’t often see a tree with a width significantly wider that its height.

Took some advice and layering in dead leaves, twigs, some fruit scraps, and also a rabbits tail and bird wing to try to replicate a creek environment.

Does this point towards rodents using tools as well? Native peoples saying that voles use elderberry leaves as sleds to pile. hog peanuts on to pull like a sled.
