count fab kittens….anyone else worried this will only be the start?

Maybe I’m too pessimistic but I’m worried the success of this will lead AJ to more items behind a paywall.

The pets were a cute addition and they aren’t too expensive, but I hate the fact you have to purchase one each time instead of being able to purchase copies for gems (like other pets).

I know the game isn’t on flash anymore which leads to changes (not too knowledgeable on that topic tbh), but just would hate to see it go down that route, especially with the economy being the way it is already.

Can’t “girl” right

I hope this is the right community to vent about this stuff.

I’m 22, I grew up with a single dad due to my mom being absent. He tried his best and I appreciate him so much as I would not be where I am without him, but there is just so much he couldn’t really teach me (because he simply didn’t know).

- I don’t know how to style my hair, best I can do is a low ponytail/bun. Maybe can do a messy and very loose braid. I have watched countless yt videos and TikTok’s on how to do basic “easy” styles and get too frustrated + give up.
- never attempted actual makeup and probably never will. Tbh I never really liked the feel of it but idk if that’s because it’s a sensory issue or I gone too long without it.
- shaving is so tough!! I will occasionally shave my legs/armpits but I feel like I always get razor bumps/ingrowns no matter what product/methods I use (also had to do research online). I don’t shave my peach fuzz or arms, but I see almost everyone else do this. Is this normal?? Or am I weird??
- still don’t have a properly fitting bra to this day, something always feels off and Im too frustrated to figure all the details out.
- my style consists of baggy jeans and a baggy shirt. I can barely walk in heels and feel so awkward in a dress.

I always felt different from other girls, who appeared much more feminine. I never had the experience of braiding each other’s hair or gossiping about boys. Never had the teenage talking stages and all sorts of things and it just makes me sort of sad.

Do I say yolo and send an invite to a concert to someone I don’t know well

Have 2 tickets for a concert that got rescheduled, so the person who was going to attend with me can no longer come. It’s super last minute as it’s tomorrow (got rescheduled yesterday). I asked a couple people I know but they can’t swing it.

Only reason why I’m hesitant to ask this person is because we don’t talk much, most of our conversations were with a mutual friend. I’m not sure he even likes this type of music or if he will attend. I think I’m just afraid of sounding too desperate or weird to extend a random invite.

impulsively went to an event and actually enjoyed myself

maybe this success doesn’t fully count because I technically went with my roommate, who is the one who brought it up to me. There was a raffle/bingo event at a restaurant that neither of us ever went to, but we wanted to go to support the fundraising cause.

I was nervous because it was a small but fancy restaurant (reservations only but today it was fully open). The place was packed that it was hard to really move around and everyone was a lot older than us, which just made me feel so out of place.
Walking in it was so jam packed that I immediately felt out of place. Additionally when we sat down at the bar when some seats opened up, the bartender was immediately dismissive and was being a bit rude which I assume is due to our age. We are both 22, but she did not believe us even after seeing our IDs. It felt uncomfortable but I figured maybe it’s been a bad day so we just got some food instead.

When the music bingo started the vibe immediately shifted, I had a lot of fun trying to listen and determine the songs. One category was club bangers, so a lot of people were looking at us to help them determine the songs. Then they also helped us with some of the older songs. Everyone at the end was singing along and getting really into it so overall an enjoyable night.

Old tasks are now showing incomplete??

Yesterday I got spam notifications + emails from the app to complete these overdue tasks and to double check them. Looked in the app and tasks from over 2 months ago now show incomplete for the “tiktok” portion.

I checked my tiktok account (not too active on it as it’s a separate one for campaigns) and it looks like 2 of them got deleted, and the other one is still up but Influenster won’t count it anymore???

Not sure why the 2 got deleted, I got no notification that any videos were removed. I don’t have the tiktok saved anywhere so i cant reupload and its from so long ago I no longer have the item to remake it. Any advice?

How to improve my energy levels after work?

I had my last semester of college and returned to full time work about 2 weeks ago and I noticed my energy levels are not the same as they used to be (at least I wasn’t this drained last year working the same hours). I work 9-10 hour days, 4 times a week. On these days, I can barely do anything after work as I usually end up passing out early or if I end up staying awake, I’m basically a zombie. I’m only 22, so I feel like this isn’t normal so hoping for any tips to help improve myself.

- I will admit I’m not a morning person, shifting my schedule to wake up at 7am was not easy but I have successfully done so, going to bed around 10-11pm.

- All my bloodwork was normal with no concerns, as I was worried with deficiencies.

- My diet is better than what it was last year, still may not be the best but I do meal plan and try to eat cleaner + drink plenty of water.

- My caffeine intake isn’t too high, I do drink 1 cup of tea in the morning (green/oolong) and 1 cup of coffee in the afternoon (primarily for taste rather than caffeine intake).

- I do get at least 10,000 steps a day, I’m trying to get to the gym to workout properly but my job is physically demanding itself. I work in the veterinary field, so restraining/lifting animals all day.

- I do have anxiety/depression which may play a factor but this is something I always struggled with. I do take medications and see a therapist to manage it.

I’m not sure what else to do. Technically speaking I’m in a healthier place than I was last year, but energy levels are worse?? Not sure if there is anything else I can do or add to my routine.

Graduation + feeling like shit

Today was my college graduation and I wish I skipped it. I hated my high school one so I knew this one held at a much larger scale (and no practice runs 😭) was going to be worse. I suggested to my family I didn’t want to go weeks ago but I could tell it meant a lot to my family, I’m a first-gen student so this college thing is a big deal for everyone in my family.

I got no sleep the night prior due to anxiety, I was shaking like crazy and just felt sick. Bad things just kept happening from the start of the day. It was really hot, everyone was drenched in sweat as they made us wait outside for over an hour before bringing us in (there was no ac in the building so no help there). 2 hours later, I was overwhelmed and just wanted to leave but there were people everywhere. As we were coming out there was another group of people coming in for the next set of majors to be graduating. People were shoving you, bumping into you, stopping in the middle of walking or taking photos right at the stairs where people are trying to get by.

As I finally started to get near the parking lot which was just uneven rocks and dirt, my feet were killing me and I felt light headed (wearing heels as well which I’m not used to but I did practice walking in before hand). Someone bumped into me and I full on just fell, my heel ripped and is ruined from the pressure and my knee got majorly scraped up.

I just ended up crying in the middle of the parking lot, completely broke down. My family kept asking if I was ok, and I could tell I ruined the whole celebration vibe

Any tips/suggestions?

I (22F) have always had this sort of thing on my legs (first picture), it developed when I was in middle school and it took a long time to accept my legs + wearing shorts in public.

But lately I noticed it appear on my arms (second picture). I know there isn’t a cure, but it’s starting to irritate that it’s spreading more and why all of a sudden? Genetics may play a role, as I know my mother struggled with it as well. I tried the KP bump eraser from first aid beauty but had no luck.

Right now I’m just physically exfoliating 2x a week w a dry brush. I also use the olly clear body wash w/ niacinamide & vitamin A. I apply lotion after every shower.

How to become more secure and less envious of people?

Lately I (F22) feel like insecurity and envy is taking over my life.

It’s hard to see my friends and peers radiate with success, while I do have my own smaller successes everyone else seems to make it look easy. I struggle a lot with mental health, been struggling since I was 13 which I know would make things more difficult but I can never see my wins as “enough.”

I am graduating college (wish I done better grade-wise but I still did it) and have a solid job within my field of study. I have my own hobbies that I take part in when I have time but it’s just not enough. It’s never enough for me.

I try to not let it affect others but it’s hard, I know I can sometimes shut them out in fear my negativity would ruin everything. I tried therapy, journaling, focusing on my hobbies, etc which I feel is most of the advice I see floating around. So I wanted to come on here to see if anyone can offer something different.

I (F22) went to my dentist to get my usual cleaning, I was told I was actually brushing and flossing incorrectly and now I need 2 fillings.

I can’t help but think that I ruined my teeth, that my teeth are actually loaded with cavities and they are lying to me. That these fillings are only the start to bad stuff down the road.

I only hear bad things about fillings, about dentists messing up, making a situation even worse. I honestly feel like when I go in to get those fillings I will lose my teeth.

I know this all isn’t logical, but lately my life health wise just seems to be going downhill and I don’t know what to do ):

I recently had my tooth cleaning done and was told I have 2 small cavities that need filing, but I honestly feel like my teeth are worse than they are letting on. I thought I was doing well taking care of them, but I have been too aggressive with brushing and using the wrong floss (the toothpick floss not string).

I feel defeated and upset that at 22 I might have damaged my adult teeth. Is there any way to reverse the condition or improve them??

u/Medical_Aardvark_228 — 4 months ago

I (F22) feel pretty defeated because I thought I took my dental care pretty seriously but was told that I wasn’t actually doing a good job, now I need to get some fillings. This is the first time I ever needed a procedure outside the usual cleanings so I’m a bit nervous. The dentist said it’s not a big deal, just 2 small holes on my molars in the back and it’s mostly just to be safe but all I hear is negative experiences.

So can anyone share their experiences? How bad are the filling procedure and did it help fix the problem or make it worse? It worried me that despite the holes being small they would need to drill a larger hole to fill it up again, just worried I will lose the tooth or something.
