Today's thrift find: original 1986 release of Beastie Boys license to Ill, still sealed with the target stickers on it

I'm not 100% sure it's an original copy, but I'm like 80% sure it is!

My reasonings:

  1. The target stickers look pretty old, 80s-90sish

  2. No "Parental Advisory" mark, it was not used until 1990, this album released in 1986

  3. The copyright date on the back says 1986, and has no mention of a repress or re-release year

I could be completely wrong lol, either way I'm pretty excited to add this one!

Snagged this from the thrift today, is this an original late 80s release?

I grabbed this today, and it's still sealed!

I don't think this is an original release, but the only thing that makes me think it might be an older release is how old the target sticker looks on the back!

Any info is appreciated!

Nothing beats fresh sauteed mushrooms in the cast iron!

(accept maybe grilled mushrooms 🤔)

Cooked up a couple of my favorites to go with breakfast this morning! Chestnuts and lions mane mushroom!

Seattle Film works 400, what process should I use to develop? Any idea on dating this film?

Recently grabbed this expired film, any idea on expiration date or if I can develop it with c-41 chemicals?

I looked it up and it looks like older "SFW-XL" process was basically ECN-2 proceed, but at some point it changed to just the basic C-41 process, but Seattle Film works just kept the "SFW-XL" label.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Argus 810 super 8 light meter stuck towards the right. Any fixes?

Hey guys, I recently picked up this Argus 810 that seems to function properly, but I noticed that the light meter needle doesn't move at all, it stuck towards the right, is there any way to fix this? No matter how dim or Bright of light it's pointed at, it doesn't move at all.

Thanks!

Argus 810 super eight is this thing shot?

Just picked this up for $10 with a pack of film in it, will it work without batteries? The battery compartment is roached And so corroded.. when I push the record button it advances the film but I have no idea if it's actually working without batteries. The light meter needle doesn't move at all.

I tried Cleaning it the best I could and tested with fresh batteries but nothing happens

Xbox 360 has RROD but sometimes works with an HDMi cable

Hey guys, I'm trying to repair this 360 and I'd like to do everything I can to get it working again, since it has a blades dashboard!

When I first turned it on it had 3 red lights on and displayed no video, when I tried to read the code, if I read it right, it's a 123 code.

I was getting this red ring while using the original RCA video output cable, I switched to the HDMI port and it started working just fine.

while in the process of trying to repair the disc drive it started doing the flashing red ring again, even with the HDMI cable. And now won't work at all.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any known fixes or suggestions? Thanks!

1982 Honda cm250 custom randomly won't start

I've been riding my bike almost daily all summer with no issues, I went to start it this morning and it just won't turn over.

The starter is trying and making noise but it just won't get there, I also noticed that some gas is leaking from the petcock, not a lot, but there is definitely gas around the outside of it.

Any idea why it won't start? Could the minor leak be the cause? Could it be something else?

I rebuilt the carbs 2 summers ago, so I can't imagine that is the issue? Maybe I need to take the jets out and clean them.

Any suggestions are helpful, thanks!

Before I leave my cameras displayed like this, is there any reason I shouldn't leave them "open" for long periods of time?

These are my 4 Polaroids. I currently have them all displayed on this bookshelf and just grab them to use as needed.

While I love them all equally, I find myself using my blue Auto Focus far more than the rest, so the other three tend to just sit on this shelf a lot longer.

Is there any reason I shouldn't display them open all the time like this? The one I'm most worried about is the SX-70. I really like how they look in this display, but I want to make sure I keep them in the best way I can to preserve them. Thanks!

My current 110 camera lineup, and how I use them!

I love all of these cameras and they all have a use in my collection!

  1. Pentax auto 110 super: this is my daily use camera, I LOVE this camera. I take it with me everywhere I go,and use it all the time! I also have the full 110 accessory and lens kit I use with it often. It's small, it's versatile, it's incredibly sharp, it's a fantastic camera!

  2. Pentax auto 110: currently this one is my backup camera if something happens to my super, or if I'm shooting two different films at the same time I will carry this one as my secondary!

  3. minolta 110 zoom SLR Mk.1: I LOVE the form factor on this one, it's such a unique camera design! I really like this one for shooting very expired films or experimental films, or when I'm shooting in extreme light or extreme dark! This one has +/-2 exposure compensation as well as adjustable aperture, so it's great when you need extra settings on 110 film!

  4. Kodak Tele-Ektralite 600: this is my true pocket cam! I love this camera for nights out with friends, or going to sporting events, or anything where you want a simple, accurate point and shoot with a built in flash!

  5. K mart focal Tele-Lectric flash: this was my first ever 110 camera so it has a special place in my heart, it's not the best, but I use it similarly to my Kodak, it's small, it's compact, and it has built in flash! My kids also love playing with this one and shooting film with it!

What cameras do you all use and why?? I love this community and love hearing from everyone!

Tonight's dinner, made on the Blackstone. Fish tacos!

These were amazing, I grilled up some bluegill and rock bass I caught a few weeks ago, season with PS tackle box seasoning, and grilled the tortillas as well!

Topped them with fresh red onion and jalapenos, homemade elote/Mexican street corn, cotija cheese and a cilantro lime crema!

Family fishing trip on Polaroid!

I decided to take my Polaroid on vacation and I couldn't have been happier!

I switched to Instax for awhile because of the price of Polaroid film but I could never get consistent results and I was never fully happy with it, so I decided to pick up a pack of 600 film and take my One Step AF on vacation and I am SO happy with the results!

I am definitely going back to Polaroid as my main instant camera!

100 Color Print HR - Expired in the early 90s

I recently shot a roll of this very expired color film, I don't know its exact origin, or who manufactured it, but from what little info I can find online, it probably expired sometime in the early 90!

Marking on the cassette say "100 Color print HR-100" pic of cassette in last slide

shot on my Minolta 110 zoom SLR at +2
