My son is almost 16 months and we delayed his 12 month vaccine (mmr) and his 15 month vaccine (varicella). We are located in Ontario btw.

He had gotten everything up until 6 months.

He has been developing great so far, hitting all milestones etc. never had any reaction to previous vaccines either.

We are travelling soon so I can’t help but think if I should get the mmr vaccine now. His doctor also wants to give hep a and b before we travel as well.

Please let me know if you’ve given your kids these vaccines and if they were okay, any reactions, etc.

I have heard from people that gave the mmr vaccine and their kids started to decline and went non verbal. I also know that autism is diagnosed around the same time as mmr is given.

I’m looking for sidecar crib recommendations.

My 15 month old, my husband and I all share a king size bed while cosleeping but my husband and I get squished as my son sleeps sideways (we have a railing attached on the side of the bed as my son sleeps on the side)

I’m planning on adding a sidecar crib as an attachment to our bed so we can get some more room. For reference, my bed including the mattress is about 22-23 inches high.

Any recommendations on sidecar cribs? Is it too late for a sidecar crib and should we just add a twin bed instead. Our room isn’t really that big for another bed that’s why I was leaning towards a sidecar crib.

Any safety concerns? I would obviously make sure there’s no gaps and it’s flush against our bed but other than that.

I have had reoccurring infections for idek how long now. I’ve had a nonstop infection for these past 3-4 months.

Finally got to a gyno and got a swab done and it came back positive for a yeast infection. I also have a 7cm ovarian cyst. I believed it was my Mirena iud that was causing the infections and the cyst.

Gyno told me to use boric acid suppositories for 7-10 days. Used it for 7 days felt fine while using them. Got my iud removed the 8th day so couldn’t insert suppository. 3-4 days after getting my iud removed and stopping the suppository, I noticed light yellow ish watery discharge with a smell. Should I do the suppository again?

I’m so tired of this happening again and again it’s taking a toll on me mentally at this point.

I have a hormonal iud since 3 months PP. I keep getting reoccurring BV. Especially after sex. I have taken back to back rounds of antibiotics I feel like it’s never ending.

I take a round of antibiotics, we have sex and it comes back. So this time I avoid sex. It still came back.

I just finished a round of antibiotics towards the end of June (haven’t had sex either) and I still got BV again.

I’m so frustrated not sure if it’s my iud or if somethings seriously wrong.

Got referred to a gynecologist but they’re all booking for the end of August. I was hoping I’ll be seen in a week or 2 but since it’s the end of august I can’t stand the BV and will have to take another round of antibiotics. I was trying not to take medicine so the doctor can actually see the BV.

Not sure what to do.

Edit: I’ve tried suppositories and they do not help either. I’ve been with the same person for 6 years as well.

My 1 year old (12 months) managed to spill hot tea all over his face, chest and stomach. I made hot tea and left it on the tv console which is pretty high. I turned my back for a few seconds and there he was trying to grab the cup and by the time anyone could run and stop him it was already too late.

I quickly picked him up placed him in the kitchen sink and ran cold water on him while stripping his clothes and opening his diaper. My mil put toothpaste all over his body while my husband called the ambulance.

Once the ambulance came they drenched him in more water to remove the toothpaste and see the damage done. They repeated the same process at the hospital. They gave him a morphine shot, some Tylenol and then some Advil before we were discharged.

His face was only a 1st degree and it just looks the tiniest bit of red now. His ears are fine both arms and legs are fine along with his back. The main part was chest and his stomach. Most of it is still a 1st degree burn with only about 7-8% 2nd degree (according to the doctor). He only has about 2 blisters.

They put polysporin and covered it with collagen silicone grafts wrapped with white bandages and then gauze over everything. They’ve referred us to sick kids burn clinic for a follow up and dressing changes. I feel horrible because I placed the cup there. I’m normally so so careful with what he does I watch him constantly like a hawk it just happened so quick.

We learned we shouldn’t have put toothpaste but it wasn’t done by me I was panicking and trying to calm my son down and get as much cool water on him as possible.

I can’t stop replaying it in my head I can’t stop crying and feeling guilty and wishing it happened to me instead.

Has anyone been in this situation? How was the healing process? Any scars left?

He’s his normal self again and you wouldn’t be able to tell something happened other than obviously his dressing and the redness/blister and wounds

I’m about 1 year postpartum. I got a hormonal iud about 3 months PP. I had an iud prior to pregnancy or trying as well. But this time around I keep getting BV. I’ve done about 2-3 rounds of medications as well over 2-3 months but it keeps coming back.

Not sure if it’s my iud or the fact I’m not getting periods. I don’t want to keep taking the medicine.

The medicine does help for a bit then it comes back (either when I have sex or randomly). I’ve tried suppositories as well and those don’t help at all.

Should I take my iud out and switch to non hormonal one or any other suggestions? The discharge doesn’t really bother me too much but the smell is nasty

I had my first baby in 2025 and he just turned 1. I was sure before having a baby and while being pregnant I wanted 2 kids back to back but then I had my first and he did not sleep for the first 3.5 months. During the day and at night. We were up every 45 minutes for the first month to 2 months and then he slowly started sleeping better.

I’m confused on when I should have my second. Some days I’m fine with 1 but then I feel guilty and want my kid to have a sibling. I grew up alone so I don’t want my kid to have that so I would put myself through it again - hopefully.

Should I wait until he’s 2.5-3 before trying again? Any recommendations from parents that have more than 1 kid.

The transition from 0-1 was really hard for me but I feel like I would be more confident this time around and may breastfeed for longer too

Any tips on any videos I should watch? I have talked to ChatGPT and added some indicators like EMA 9 and 20. I also saw a TikTok video to add CE and ZLSMA with buy and sell indicators.

My current paper trade is for gold. I bought 5 stocks @ 4484.590 (not something I would do if it was my actual money) but even after buying such a high amount, the profit I’m walking away with is only $107usd right now.

My mom wants to file for bankruptcy. She has about 100k-105k in credit card/line of credit debt. She hasn’t worked since August 2024 and has been trying to get onto ODSP due to a foot condition not allowing her to walk or stand for long periods.

Since she doesn’t work, the bankruptcy assistance program was recommended to her to become eligible for bankruptcy. Will bankruptcy erase everything?

She doesn’t have any assets (house etc) she only has 1 car that’s worth like $1500

She’s been surviving off line of credits and money from family.

My mil moved in with us before my son was born and has been with us since then. She has caused so many problems in my marriage, has disrespected my family and ignored my son and I. I have asked my husband for a separate living arrangement twice and he said there’s no option and I can take our kid and leave and be a single mom.

She goes back to her country in a few weeks so not sure when she comes back but I’m mentally done. Have gone through therapy, anti anxiety medication etc. not sure what to do anymore because I keep waiting to see if my husband will take my side.

I have never spoken back to her as I’m not like that but I started doing exactly what she was doing. If she’s ignoring me, I won’t go out of the way to talk to her either. I’ll avoid her as much as I can. I’m unhappy in my own house.

She plays mind games by ignoring me and then running to my husband and crying and making it my fault. My marriage will fall apart if this continues
