Sisters of Battle Advise

I am moving cities and my new place has an active KT scene so to keep hobbying I need to build a team. I have settled on Sisters (I have some cool conversions in mind).

I have never played, nor is there a lot of SoB KT lists online for me to gauge options.

So far I have built

▪Sister Surperior with Power Weapon and Combi-melta

▪Sister with Heavy Bolter

And now I am at a lose.

I don't mind building more than is required, options are honestly preferred.

What should I be building?

Renting an Apartment - What am I doing wrong?

I've been apartment hunting in Sheshan for about 10 days, and am getting no where.

My agent says there isn't a lot available but surely there has to be more than 3 apartments available.

I saw two promising 2 bedroom apartments but the landlord in both scenarios refused to take away his junk from the 2nd bedroom rendering it unusable.

Sheshan 6am Swimming Pools - Suggestions Wanted

I am moving to Sheshan, and found an apartment near the Children's Botanical Garden (儿童植物园站), and I am now looking for swimming pools nearby.

I am having a really hard time researching this, so far I have found two, and both open at 9am, but ideally, I would like to swim at 6am before work.

Could someone please help, I will be forever grateful

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oread Mountain Spirit

Oread Mountain Spirit

They are to mountains what Dryads are to forests; ancient spirits animated by fragments of the Old Magic that have long since sunk deep into the bones of the world.

The concept isn't lore-accurate, but grew from a simple thought: if Dryads are spirits of wood, and petrified wood is stone, what would a Mountain equivalent look like? That led me to Oreads, the mountain spirits of Greek mythology.

When I first shared the concept, it received plenty of pushback. Not everyone will like it, but I'm having a lot of fun exploring the idea.

First test model complete.

C&C welcome.

I have began my preemptive plan to move to one of the three following ChatGPT suggested areas in Shanghai from Suzhou

  • Songjiang University Town (松江大学城)
  • Guangfulin Area (广富林)
  • Sheshan Area (佘山)

What are some of the pros and cons, my housing budget is 6K per month

Undgrin Ankor Patrol - Homebrew Arcane Journal

I really enjoyed putting together my Homebrew Norscan Halls so much so I have decided to do another one.

This time in the Underway. Again, I am really trying to keep things limited in scope, which really sells the theme and focus of the army. This is aiming to be an elite infantry army with lots of tactical nuance to it, hence the special rules focused around Ambushing and Detachments.

Love to hear your thoughts, your initial thoughts on my Norscan Halls was incredibly helpful

[Fanmade] Army of Infamy: Norscan Halls

Over the past six weeks or so, my friend and I having been heavily inspired and encouraged by the incredible work of the squarebasedpodcast's Rob and Val (u/valheffelfinger); decided to try write our own Army of Infamy for the Norscan Dwarfs; a faction we’ve always wanted to see brought to life in the Old World.

We took on a lot of your feedback, but acknowledge this is in no way perfect. If it receives some playtesting and experience-earned insights, a second iteration is entirely possible. This is our vision of a Norsca-flavoured battle-hardened Dwarf army.

We hope you enjoy

If Wood Elves have Forest Spirits, why don't Dwarfs have Mountain Spirits?

Bit of a shower-thought inspired by some conversion projects I've been working on.

Wood Elves have Dryads, Treekin, and Treemen; ancient forest spirits inhabiting and animating living trees.

But Dwarfs are just as intrinsically tied to mountains as Wood Elves are to forests.

So what if Dwarfs had their own equivalent?

Not daemons or elementals in the traditional sense, but Mountain Spirits.

In my head the equivalents might look something like:

  • Dryads → Stonekin
  • Treekin → Ancestor Guardians
  • Treemen → Effigies of Grungni
  • Treeman Ancients → Great Effigies

Rather than emerging from forests, they would slumber in forgotten chambers beneath the holds, awakening only in times of great need.

The idea that took me down this road is that petrified wood is essentially stone. Obviously this isn't established lore, but I could absolutely imagine it being so.

What do you think?
