What are some resources I can use to learn to be as articulated and well-informed as Alex?

I've been watching cosmic skeptic for a while now, and I've always wondered how he was able to, for lack of a better word, be so smart.

I understand he has a degree in theism and philosophy, but a lot of his knowledge on topics and his general speaking patterns are out of this world.

Are there any resources I can learn to be as well-informed as him and wellspoken?

Best books with photos to learn astrophysics/physics?

I'm trying to start reading again, and it's hard to just stare at words talking about astrophysics and the wonders of our universe without having photos or graphs to accompany it.

Does anyone have any books that teach physics or astrophysics or a mix that have photos and data and such I can learn from? I'm willing to read from a big textbook if anyone has some, I plan on taking college next year but I just want to get started.

How do I call time off for vacation purposes as part-time?

I work in Walmart, I always assumed you just go in the app and put out time 3 weeks in advance, but I just wanted to make sure because of course they love to never explain anything.

I plan to take time off as soon as the schedule gets put in this week, I need to take (I'll probably be off 3 days) 4 days off so basically that whole week. Is there a process for taking off time longer than a couple days or is it the same, I just go in the app and request time off and let my manager know?

Thank you!

Best resources to learn astrophysics besides college?

Disregarding the math part as I plan to learn that in college, the resources I'm looking for is pre-college before I go

I met someone who is very into astrophysics I was able to pull up college studies and such an understand everything it was saying, well I had no idea what it meant.

I really want to get into astrophysics but the only thing on sites like YouTube is just AI content and they don't actually delve into real astrophysics

I'm willing to read and watch videos and really learn it before college, but I just can't find any good resources I was wondering if I could get some recommendations so I can learn and understand it just from reading an article or a study.

What subjects of math are most used in astrophysics?

Google isn't particularly helpful, but I want to get a headstart before college.

What are the most used mathsets used in astrophysics and regular physics? And what should I get a good basis on beforehand.

How to apply for the 3 month healthcare program?

I was told in orientation if I work more than 30 hours for 3 months consecutively, I get access to the healthcare system applied to full-timers. I haven't been contacted yet about receiving it and I'm unsure on how to get that if it's true.

is there a way I can see if I'm eligible for that or look into it or what I have to talk to somebody?

What should I learn before starting first year of college

I plan to start college in Fall of 2027, however I'd like to get a headstart beforehand, Money for textbooks/studying isn't an issue for me so I appreciate any source possible

From my understanding I will need to learn math like trig and calculus beforehand, I was wondering what the order of learning math should be and any book or learning tool recommendations? I plan to get a good foundation before joining

Is it dumb to double major but only get a phd in one?

I plan to double major in physics and math, but get a phd in Astrophysics

Although I heard once that there's no point since employers and most will only care about the PhD, and having a separate degree in math isn't that important.

So is it worth it to double major in both then?

Would double majoring in physics and math, then getting a PhD in astrophysics be a good path?

Hello! I wasn't able to fit it all so I'll just retype the title

I plan on, once I graduate highschool, majoring in physics and then getting a PhD in astrophysics but I remembered double majoring exists. And due to the job market being so competitive would it be worth double majoring in a math major as well as physics, and then following through with my plan of getting a PhD in astrophysics?

I would assume so but I was just wondering what you guys thought!

How does the Ulearn/College program work?

Hello! I've been working at Walmart for 4 months and have been saving up for college. I realized Walmart has a college program and wondered how it works. They kinda explained it in orientation but it was brief.

I assume it's a program I apply to for a percentage off a university/college as long as I remain working at Sam's club till the end of my college term?

Are all colleges accepted? Am I right in my presumption? I'm a bit clueless so if anyone could link me or tell me a deep overview of it I'd really appreciate it!

Is it worth it buying a used car for under $4000 nowadays?

I'm looking for a car under $4000 thats a year 2007 minimum and under 200k miles. Am I dreaming too big nowadays?

I mean people in my area (FL) have 2005 toyotas and hondas that are 230,000+ miles for 3.5k or sometimes higher.

Should I just keep saving and buy an 8-10k car instead of trying to shop around the 3k-4k market?
