I work 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 32 hours a week, I'm coming on 40 hours a week soon but I'm free Tuesday and Wednesday almost every week and that's going to become my permanent schedule soon

The money is decent, I work in retail which allows me to build my customer service skills and muscles lol

although I've been wondering if there's any way for me to get a side job from 12:30 to 6pm, or just working on my off days. I'm pretty tech savvy so I'm not close to anything on computers but I know that's a very hard field to get in nowadays, and my main concern is I'd rather not just do cheap yard labor like I used to do before I was 18

if anyone has any tips for me let me know thank you! I am forklift trained, if that helps!

Hello! When I finish the trifecta I will, of course, be looking forward to gaining experience and making it a career.

The reason I put gaining experience first is because I have heard of several ways to gain experience to put on my resume before applying for jobs. Such as homelabs, volunteering, and others.

I was wondering, more so to the employers of this sub, what are the best looking experience on a resume that isn't directly from a job. I've thought heavily of volunteer work for churches and such, but I'm not too closed to setting up a homelab also. Let me know, thanks!

Hey so I recently got back into siege after like 3 years, and my voice is not working at all.

I am on the right speaker options near the , and I can hear my game, but I'm unable to hear anyone.

I can see on the right hand side of my screen when someone is talking, and I can even talk myself and see myself pop up with my mic, but I can't hear any other voice feedback, it doesn't matter if it's from friends or randoms. I don't believe it's an issue with the game but is there anything I'm missing like a privacy setting or other? I have my ubisoft account privacy settings on everyone I think.

I've been watching cosmic skeptic for a while now, and I've always wondered how he was able to, for lack of a better word, be so smart.

I understand he has a degree in theism and philosophy, but a lot of his knowledge on topics and his general speaking patterns are out of this world.

Are there any resources I can learn to be as well-informed as him and wellspoken?

I'm trying to start reading again, and it's hard to just stare at words talking about astrophysics and the wonders of our universe without having photos or graphs to accompany it.

Does anyone have any books that teach physics or astrophysics or a mix that have photos and data and such I can learn from? I'm willing to read from a big textbook if anyone has some, I plan on taking college next year but I just want to get started.

I work in Walmart, I always assumed you just go in the app and put out time 3 weeks in advance, but I just wanted to make sure because of course they love to never explain anything.

I plan to take time off as soon as the schedule gets put in this week, I need to take (I'll probably be off 3 days) 4 days off so basically that whole week. Is there a process for taking off time longer than a couple days or is it the same, I just go in the app and request time off and let my manager know?

I met someone who is very into astrophysics I was able to pull up college studies and such an understand everything it was saying, well I had no idea what it meant.

I really want to get into astrophysics but the only thing on sites like YouTube is just AI content and they don't actually delve into real astrophysics

I'm willing to read and watch videos and really learn it before college, but I just can't find any good resources I was wondering if I could get some recommendations so I can learn and understand it just from reading an article or a study.

I was told in orientation if I work more than 30 hours for 3 months consecutively, I get access to the healthcare system applied to full-timers. I haven't been contacted yet about receiving it and I'm unsure on how to get that if it's true.

Edit: I only want one phd in astrophysics under the physics degree, I won't be getting a phd in any mathematical study
