The Dover Demon.

On the 21st of April in 1977, William "Bill" Bartlett, who was 17 at the time, made the claim that while he was driving, he saw a large-eyed creature "with tendril-like fingers" and glowing eyes on top of a broken stone wall on Farm Street in Dover, Massachusetts.
John Baxter, who was 15 years old, also reported seeing a similar creature on Miller Hill Road that same evening. Abby Brabham, also 15 years old, claimed to have seen the creature on Springdale Avenue, the following night.
The teenagers all drew sketches of the alleged creature. Bartlett wrote on his sketch, "I, Bill Bartlett, swear on a stack of Bibles that I saw this creature." According to the Boston Globe Newspaper, "the locations of the sightings, plotted on a map, lay in a straight line over 2 miles".
It has been suggested that the creature could have been a moose calf or perhaps even a horse foal. Local police told the associated press that the creatures reported by the teenagers "were probably nothing more than a school vacation hoax."
Loren Coleman who interviewed all witnesses at the time, coined the name 'The Dover Demon' and to this day, quite rightly maintains that this 'creature' is still considered to be, an 'unknown'.

OSCAR - The Beast of Busco.

(This image is human-made - non-a.i.)

In 1898, a farmer named Oscar Fulk claimed to have seen a giant turtle living in the seven-acre lake on his farm near Churubusco, Indiana. He told others about it, but eventually he decided to drop the matter.

A half century later, in July 1948, two Churubusco citizens, Ora Blue and Charley Wilson, also reported seeing a huge turtle (weighing an estimated 500 pounds) while fishing on the same lake, which had come to be known as Fulk Lake.
A farmer named Gale Harris owned the land at that time. Harris and others also reported seeing the creature. Word spread.

But despite many attempts, "Oscar" (named after the original owner of the farm) was never captured.

‘MONSTERS AT THE CROSSROADS - CRYPTIDS & LEGENDS OF INDIANA’.

TEXAS CHUPACABRA - VAMPIRE BLUE DOG.

The term 'Chupacabra' is a strange one... and is often used as a catch-all term for any unexplained critter. There are many different descriptions of the 'Chupacabra'... (Goat Sucker)
- Many different 'types' across America... some mutants, some hybrid... some altogether unexplained, seemingly alien.
The blue dogs are some of the strangest... their desert vampire connection is the stuff of haunting legends!

A friend of mine in Arizona recently sent me some photos he took via a text message to me...
The creature was in broad daylight and looked like a gnarly coyote or dog with mange... brownish and dirty... (More on that later, go follow my page for more!)

Now available as a 12" x 18" print - signed in silver and delivered to your door in a protective black tube.

As featured on the cover of David Weatherly's:
Lone Star State Monsters: Cryptids & Legends of Texas.

Wood knocker...

I've heard a number of people claiming that what appear to be wood knocks could actually be the clacking or smacking of the tongue to create a vocal echo... Though interesting an plausible, I'm sure it's both. Or does the idea of wood knocking no longer seem to apply?
I always considered bigfoot to be a type of people, as many Native American tribes and First Nation peoples claim. So tool use would be a given... Yet we never find spears or any evidence of fire...

Are they more ape than human with basic trading skills?
Or are they in fact a far more elusive tribe of 'other' people than we thought?

As featured on the cover of David Weatherly's 'WOOD KNOCKS: Journal of Sasquatch Research - Volume One' - (Available on Amazon along with additional volumes in the series also featuring artwork by Mister Sam Shearon).

The Piasa!

A mighty monster from folklore... or a real dragon!?
Its name is Native American 'Indian', and signifies, in the Illini -
"The Bird That Devours Men."

Was this some kind of giant eagle or horned owl...? A surviving pterosaur...?
Or something entirely different...?

There are several depictions of the creature painted and carved into the sides of the cliffs and caves where it is said to have once lived... and preyed on men!

Now available as a 12" x 18" print - signed in silver and delivered to your door in a protective black tube.

SHUNKA WARAKIN

The Ioway, and several other Native American indigenous tribes in the region of Montana, called the creature Shunka Warak’in, which translated means: 'carrying off dogs'. It was told that the beast would creep into camps at night and steal dogs.

Also known as 'Ringdocus' - The name given to an unidentified canine shot by Israel Hutchins, a Mormon settler in Montana in 1886. He had it stuffed by a local Joseph Sherwood, who put it on display at his general store near Henry's Lake, Idaho until the 1980s when it mysteriously disappeared. Though later re-discovered, the creature was displayed in the Madison Valley History Museum when it reopened in May 2007.

DNA testing has never been conducted on the animal.
Beasts that fit the description of the Shunka Warak'in / Ringdocus are still sighted to this day...

This image is also featured on the cover of David Weatherly's book: Monsters of Big Sky Country: Cryptids & Legends of Montana with a foreword by John LeMay.
The book is part of the 'Monsters of America' series... and are all available on Amazon!

THE LIZARDMAN OF SCAPE ORE SWAMP.

As featured on the cover of DAVID WEATHERLY’s book -
‘PALMETTO STATE MONSTERS - CRYPTIDS & LEGENDS OF NORTH CAROLINA. With a foreword by Micah Hanks.

In the folklore of Lee County, South Carolina, the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp (also known as the Lizard Man of Lee County) is an entity said to inhabit the swampland of the region. First mentioned in the late 1980s, the purported sightings and damage attributed to the creature yielded a significant amount of newspaper, radio and television publicity.

Was it a deformed or 'burn-victim-bigfoot' wearing an alligator pelt...? Or a real 'Lizard-Man'...? or was it something else entirely...?

The Texas Pterosaur

Here's my rendition of the Texas Pterosaur - (human-made artwork - NON-A.I.)

These flying reptiles, named 'Ropens' by some, are seen in several places around the globe to this day... Some are reported to be seen flying around in Cuba, some in Papa New Guinea... Many variations of these 'living pterosaurs' are reported from all over the United States.

This print depicts one of the many 'Texas Pterosaur' sightings as described by a variety of people... some as recently as 2017.

This is a particular favourite subject of mine... living dinosaurs and their cousins!

Have you seen one?
What do you suppose it could be if not a pterosaur....?

Prehistoric winged reptile... 'pterosaur'... or 'dragon'...?
'Bat-like humanoid'... or 'alien visitor'...?

As featured on the cover of David Weatherly's book 'Monsters of the Hawkeye State: Cryptids and Legends of Iowa'. (Available on AMAZON).
The Van Meter Visitor is now available as an 12" x 18" print, signed in silver.

In October of 1903, the small town of Van Meter in Iowa was witness to the visitation of a strange unknown creature...

A number of respected community members spoke of a strange bat-winged creature that haunted the town, over a number of nights over the course of a week. The beast was described to have huge bat-like wings, it was also said to give off an awful mind-fogging stench, wiping the memories of some folk... But the strangest part of the tale speaks of a beam of light that was projected from a blunt horn on it's forehead!

It is said that several of the local townsfolk fired upon the creature with their large guns, though this did not appear to cause any harm to the beast.
Tired of the torment from this creatures nightly visits, a few of the townsfolk got together one night and followed the creature to an abandoned coal mine. There they were confronted by not one, but two of these strange creatures. Both of these strange 'animals' turned and disappeared down into the darkness of the mine as the men opened fire... the 'visitors' were never seen again.

Modern reports as recently as the 2000's have reported similar creatures in the area being sighted by several different people. These reports might suggest, that the Van Meter Visitors have never truly left!

What do you suppose this creature actually was...?

The Van Meter Visitor signed print.

Here's my rendition of the infamous 'Nightcrawler' though to be clear, these did anything but crawl... In fact, the video that these are based on was actually shot in Yosemite... and so I've chosen to re-name these as the 'Yosemite Nightstriders' or 'Californian Nightstriders' perhaps.

There's of course the conclusion that both videos, Fresno and Yosemite were in fact hoaxes, this doesn't discount the fact that people claim to have actually see these things prior and since! One witness even claims to have seen one crossing a road... a black one!

Call them what you will... Haunted pants, phantom pantaloons or phantaloons... sentient pajamas... or alien visitors from another world!

Several videos and witness accounts of these mysterious 'puppet-like' creatures have been seen over the last decade or so... Making them one of the more recent additions to the world of weird 'cryptids', (if they are to be considered that at all!)...
Most say 'hoax'... Others tend to agree there's more to it...

Perhaps there are clues in ancient legend... Or are they just another modern urban myth? You decide!

What do you suppose they are!?

ARTWORK DISCLAIMER: This is a human-made illustration. 'AI' was NOT used in any way in the creation of this piece. This was digitally painted, using a mouse with the program Photoshop. Octopi, Cuttlefish and Squid were used as references for the skin textures and patterns.

If anyone's interested this design of mine is available in my store on various merchandise items too.

Here's my rendition of a bigfoot / sasquatch striding across a road at night.... cars coming in either direction... What would you do if you drove up on a creature like this?

If you braked and it continued to wander off into the woods... would you get out and see if you could get another look... or just drive on...?
What if it stopped walking and began to approach your car...!?

What would YOU do....!?
