Are ALL ESL ATMs offline right now? Wtf?

Mt Read (including the lobby machine) and the DT only at Dewey/Latta are completely out of service.

I've used them for YEARS and this has never happened.

Just a heads up for people trying to handle banking today in Greece

Any advice for self advocating for further investigation?

Several of my providers including my PCP agree that my symptoms align with endo but my doctor is rather dismissive and has trapped me in an useless cycle of being offered OBC and ultrasounds (that are inconclusive b/c they can't visualize both ovaries due to my body size and bowel gas.)

My history:

Started menstruation early around age 10

Very erratic and long cycles

Extremely heavy bleeding that I've had to take medicine to stop

Spotting, uterine contractions, then passing massive palm-sized blood clots

Hormonal fluctuations very strong despite irregular bleeding (on cue I have PMS symptoms every month regardless of where I am in a menstrual cycle)

Formally diagnosed with PMDD by mental health team

Never have been pregnant despite having sex that could result in pregnancy

Horrible abdominal bloating

Pain with penetrative sex

GI and urinary pain that correlates with bleeding

I have an appointment tomorrow with my ob/gyn and I'm bringing my partner in for moral support. I'm at the point where I know in my heart there's something more to this that's going unaddressed and I'm in so much pain between this and other conditions I've gotten a lawyer to help me fight to be awarded disability. ATP I'm barely able to work 10-15 hours per week at an office job it's all so disruptive.

Basically I want a plan for if I'm sent for another TV ultrasound with unremarkable results. I'll note that urology did a pelvic MRI on me years ago and also seemed dismissive of the results. It would make sense to me that after years of NOTHING that my urinary and GI systems are involved too.

I saw in someone's post that they did bowel prep before their ultrasound but they've never asked me to do this before; should I ask my doc if it's worth trying if they send me to imaging again?

Had anyone had luck asking for a referral to a specific surgeon or is that skipping steps? I'm so overwhelmed.

I'm also feeling lonely about the fertility aspect. I'm in my early 30's and starting to feel the ✨pressure✨ but basically it's just really important to me to retain my right to make that decision for myself rather than have ignored health issues make the choice for me. Being fat and low income/unable to marry due to my disability makes me feel like they don't take my fertility concerns seriously.

Tysm for any kind words you might have to share!

Anyone else not voting for Morelle in part because his commercials play 3+ times per freaking commercial break?!

The squeaky wheel one played THREE times in a row, then just as we though we were safe during the function of beauty haircare ad, here comes the squeakiest of wheels a FOURTH MFing time.

What other things have local politicians done that gave you the ick enough to rule them out as an option?

Just having a bit of a screm 🔊

His name is Professor Nubbinz and he's about 10 years old.

Used to be a shadow cat (would run before you'd get a decent look at him), but he's happily integrated into his new household now.

Both my fiance and I had our roles in saving him after a traumatic birth and my mom raised him once he was old and stable enough to thrive on his own.

Bought an "old" bottle of Karma by Lush (2016) for $20 off FB Marketplace

I had JUST fallen in love with this scent a few days before and my fiance had purchased the solid version of it as a birthday gift to me.

My income is low right now due to being in the middle of fighting for my government (U.S.) to recognize my disability and begin issuing payments, so it was meant to be!

Definitely can't afford $65 USD plus taxes right now for a new bottle and I like the design better than what's currently on the market.

As a kid I really didn't like anything patchouli based, but this smells like a crystal/smoke shop in the best way!

Has anyone else had good luck finding scents on their "to-find" list on marketplace? Share your haul!

Anyone else get UTIs when they travel?

For a while I thought it was because I was booking hot tub rooms, but I noticed they start right about the day of or day before I leave for my trip.

I swear it's panic-related. It's like as much as I prepare, my body itself is still freaking out.

Anyone else using their big, juicy brains to solve equations for the good of humanity? 🧠

The stop closest to me is literally the day after my last day of in-person classes this semester, so I'm excited for it to be my summer send-off!

Anyone else working on their outfit in between finals? I've never done any cosplay before and I'm disabled, so I'm taking some sewing-free shortcuts.

I'm tired of being professional; can't wait to let loose lol

420 friendly 31F seeking like-minded friends or pen pals in NYS or Ontario

Hi there!

I like to take road trips a lot and am looking for some chill people to hang out with when I travel. Especially Canada as I go to the GTA a lot for concerts in Toronto.

I've found that it's easier for me to bond with someone when we smoke together and I've noticed a lot of people not vibe with that, so figured I'd center that in my post, but that's not my whole personality!

Things I like:

Writing

Cooking/baking

Urban exploring photography

Video games (Xbox and Nintendo)

Tattoos

Thrifting

Music (mostly pop/alt rock or metal)

Trying new foods

Driving

Cats/animals in general

Masking up in public spaces 😷

Things that are a hard pass for me:

Conservative and/or Republican Christians

Homo/transphobes

Zionists/racists/bigots

Hard drugs (🍄 and like stuff okay)

People with hang-ups about neurodivergence or mental health

Hating cats

Fatphobes

I'm a very creative and passionate person with lots of hopes and dreams to change the world (just a little bit.) I do my best to advocate for myself and others when I'm able to and am involved in mutual aid efforts in my community.

I'm disabled and in school while I wait for my SSDI case to get approved, but I do work part time when classes are in session.

I'm off for the summer and want to challenge myself to be more social as I tend to be rather introverted and shy in person at first.

Preference for women and NB folks just because of previous trauma with men. But it's not a complete deal breaker.

Feel free to comment or send a message if it sounds like we'd click!

I travel to a big city about 3-4 hours away by car 1-3x/year with relative success AMA

Next one is coming up quick.

I'm seeing Ashnikko in Toronto! 💋💅

Figured I'd offer to share my tips/tricks I've learned since starting to do this regularly since 2023ish when artists started touring again.

What do you want to know?

Anyone else here a writer?

Currently a creative writing student and was curious to see if others are on a similar path.

My therapist has been trying to get me to see some positive things about my parts like how it opens me up to be creative in a unique way.

I just recently started a piece of short fiction with a main character who has DID and kind of "came out" to my classmates during my peer review.

It felt...like relief. I'm an older student and I feel pressure to be an example to them. Hoping being open about mental illness will reduce the stigma surrounding conditions like DID.

Why are there financial barriers to honors level courses?

My cc has the option to earn up to two levels of an advanced studies diploma.

Basically, the first level you just have to take a certain amount of honors electives and a seminar class for the honors institute.

The second level is more credits and you have to complete a thesis.

I'm interested in the first one and after this semester will have everything I need for it except that seminar credit.

But there's two issues with the seminar course: it's only offered on campus (due to disability I take everything online if I can) and also, since it's "not required" for my degree, fin aid won't cover it.

The rep in the aid office doesn't understand financial privileges and just told me not to stress because my loan money would likely cover it. I'm living off student funds (grants, work study) rn as I'm fighting with a lawyer to get on SSDI payments because I can't work full-time.

I've applied for as many scholarships as I could fit in between my studies and so far I've only wound up with $50 tuition credit from a writing contest I placed in. Don't get me wrong, I'm super grateful, but it seems wrong that I'm going to have to sell even more of my belongings to cover this last course out of pocket if I want that distinguishment on my degree.

College as someone new to navigating DID is...interesting to say the least.

We are about to accept an award for winning a poetry contest, but idk who wrote that either.

Our writing is SO disjointed because of rapid switching which is knocking down our scores overall

It's tough to keep all this low-key.
