Looking to travel to UK, Norway, Finland, then we will go to Poland, or Prague. Would a 23kg luggage be enough for 2 people? Including winter gear like puffer, heattech, a few sets of clothes and toiletries and etc?

edit: forgot to add that we will be travelling for 1 month in total, imagine 1 week for each location roughly

Edit 2: I also somehow forgot to add that I will be travelling from late Oct to late Nov

Will be going to netherlands, specifically wageningen for studies for 5 months, any tips on what to buy and meal prep here?

Even shop reco to buy the materials like containers or ingredients would be nice as well!

I will be solo travelling in this period of winter before I go back to the tropics, I want to experience the winter and christmas alone and I have thought of this itenary, my concern is the prices cause it looks EXPENSIVE. What do you guys think, nothing is set in stone yet so I dont mind changing if it is not good/too expensive

I will be travelling to freiburg with 8 other friends for a quick few days to hike. One of our options is a day trip to Hinterzarten and I am seeing options to get there via Deutsche Bahn from the Freiburg central train station.

Booking from the DB website, I chose day ticket for group from freiburg to hinterzarten and it said that I can only travel within the purchased price level and zone(s) in the RVF network. What does this price level and zone mean? Does the pricing when i book the ticket already take into account the zones? Additionally, do I have to book the tickets online early or can i do same day purchase?

This is the first time travelling in Germany so I am quite lost.

To be specific from 19 Dec to ~2 Jan.

I am in an awkward position right now, I am studying in Netherlands for a few months, and my return flight to my home country is 4 Jan. I have no lessons from 18 Dec onwards so I am wondering if I should just change my flight date to go back or travel in this period.

I hear people say this period is tough since it is either gloomy or rainy everyday, or its super cold or everything is closed due to this time period. What do you guys think? I am from a tropical country so this seasonality is a new thing to me.

If i were to travel it would be one of these options:

1. Norway/Sweden
2. Spain (but might not due to warmer weather)
3. Portugal
4. Poland
5. France

To add on, I have never solo travelled before so it will be scary for me

How is scotland like in late October? I have a free period from Uni from 23 October to 23 November, and I might consider visiting Scotland in October. I love nature and would like to visit the usual nature places, like maybe Isle of Skye or some of the forests to see the view since I like nature!

How would the weather be like and are these destinations viable? Will it be rainy and gloomy throughout the day and are the days already short?

Might head south before or after Scotland, to explore the cities depending on how Scotland is.

I am considering Madeira as my holiday trip this late december and I am wondering how Madeira is during this period. I am mainly looking to explore the forests and hike around, is it possible to do it without driving and as a solo traveller?

I also know Madeira is expensive, would it make me go broke?

So context is that I am planning this train ride from salzburg to obertraun, and this one stop where I have to change trains at Attnang-Puchheim from track 2 to Track 1C-E and I only have 9 minutes. Would this be enough time? How much buffer time do you give yourself between trains before going for it?

Hello, I will be studying in Netherlands for the second half of the year and I am wondering what are some great places i can travel to from 19 dec to 3 jan, I will be travelling from amsterdam and returning there afterwards.

I am hoping to explore some nice sceneries/nature and wildlife if any at this time (im from the tropics so im not sure what is still available in this season). If there isnt much nature at this time any places you guys recommend? I do know some countries have nice christmas markets etc. I am open to any suggestions!

I am going to be hiking a lot in Europe and will be in netherlands for University, so a lot of rain. Looking for a rain jacket that wouldnt make me spend all my money, this one from decathlon seems reasonable at 65 dollars and can resist against 15,000 mm rain. What are your thoughts? Will definitely be hiking a lot more in the future.

But of course, if buying an expensive one would mean I dont have to buy another pair for life then I wouldnt mind as well.

I will be travelling to Austria soon and I am wondering what is the best way to travel there, by bus, or train? And would there be accessible car rentals in the towns near this nature park?

Another question, what is the nature park like? Is it accessible ot do I need to rent a car?

I have a question, am i able to cross the traffic junction when it turns amber when my car is JUST before the first arrow?

the base of the arrow is at my car there alr from my pov. I know when im on the first arrow i shld just go but this is like slightly behind the first arrow, when i cross there was no flash i think(it was at night, if got flash can tell one) but i want to check if i messed up or not.
