I have a parcel being delivered to my address on Monday by ParcelForce. I haven't ordered anything, and I want to stop the item being delivered.

I'm not going to be here to reject it at the door, as I'm going away tomorrow.

Will ParcelForce customer services accept an instruction over the phone to take it back to their offices and return it from there?

When I was younger, I heard these terms a lot, especially on TV. Someone getting into a temper would be told "Don't lose your rag", and others who were in a temper or angry would be defined as "losing (his/her/their) rag".

It's always made me wonder just what losing a rag had to do with being in a temper or angry...

I'm applying to take this subreddit over. It is a private subreddit intended to help those suffering with conditions related to thyroid problems such as Grave's Disease. The subreddit is private, and does not appear to be responding to requests to join.

I'm trying to find out if a private subreddit I want to join, r/thyroid, is still being moderated. I've requested to join, and nothing is happening. No response from the sub or its mods. Because it's private, I can't see any content or view the mod list.

I just found this while having a nose around my old holiday stomping ground, Lowestoft, in Suffolk UK. It's a love letter, and it's made me think about people, and how their lives turned out... Have you ever seen anything like this?

So I went and looked in the cleaning cupboard, the laundry room, and out of the kitchen window.

I play quite a few of the online games on the platform, and I've noticed tonight that a lot of them aren't loading - pocketgrids, syllo, hexaword, letterset... all of them are just staying on the loading screens, or on a static image.

Anyone aware if there is an outage on the dev platform?
