How to calculate tariff / How long has UPS TradeAbility® Landed Cost been unavailable?

After a long (wild goose chase) process logging in, adding a ton of package details I get:

>We're sorry; UPS TradeAbility^(®) Landed Cost is not available at this time. Please try again later.

Looking for a UPS tool to calculate how much duty to charge/will be/should be charged on int'l shipment.

Possible alternative : maybe a merchant who has UPS Global Checkout set up? Other tool?

🤬👎 Merge help needed - is there still no way to View Your Past Comments? Blocking merge.

Is there still no place on Patreon that tracks all the comments you’ve ever left?

Crazy that they're forcing account merges and asking us:

Do you want to keep your past activity as a member?
If you choose to keep past activity (likes, comment, chats and DMs), it may indicate that you are or were a member.
You have 2 comments, likes, chats, and DMs across 0 memberships.

But we can't see what those comments, likes, chats, or DMs are!

It seems I'm being blocked from seeing any of them, until after the merge. WT?

Poll: Cure rate and risk tolerance.

This is a hypothetical question. I’m asking it because I think the answers could give useful insight to both researchers and our community about risk tolerance.
Imagine a treatment exists that has been thoroughly tested. It permanently cures MOGAD in X% of patients and is fatal in the remaining patients. There is no such treatment today, but real treatment decisions sometimes involve trade-offs that feel related to this kind of risk.
Assume the research is solid and we know the exact value of X.
How high would X need to be before you would take the treatment?

New Gadolinium contrast agent AMBELVIST/gadoquatrane just FDA-approved.

So there’s a new low-dose Gadolinium contrast agent that was just approved. Anyone using it or heard about any facilities using it? any pricing info?

The subReddit search feature seems to be completely on the blink.

Bogus citations used to substantiate DANGEROUS MOGAD treatment advice. AI SLOP warning! Dr Oracle.AI WARNING!

Alert: Don't trust AI to not hallucinate.

Incident Report Re.: Misleading "reviewed for accuracy by our Medical Advisory Board" claims and AI SLOP warning: AI is increasingly prone to rely on AI content to spit out bogus citations - one recently used used Dr Oracle 's AI slop to substantiate BAD MOGAD treatment advice!

I googled something and Google's AI (AKA^(f) Gemini) responded with info from a web article labeled "All articles are reviewed for accuracy by our Medical Advisory Board" at

https://www.droracle.ai/articles/210583/what-is-the-recommended-treatment-for-myelin-oligodendrocyte-glycoprotein#ref-3 (backed up to archive.is/XdiQH )

As they say in IT circles, GIGO: Garbage In, Garbage Out.

The "All articles are reviewed for accuracy by our Medical Advisory Board" claim was walked back, by small^(, low-contrast print reading) ^(pending human review) but the people / AI behind Dr Oracle seem to have tricked Google's AI into trusting them, even though their page relies on a fabricated citation. Citation #ref-3 is an article about Oncology (cancer) not MOGAD. Has no relevant information about MOGAD, or the dosing of oral prednisone taper in MOGAD. And the dosing it advises, 1-2 mg/kg would be dangerously high.

I have amazon prime and google speakers. There's no way to listen to npr news podcast ad-free/add it to my morning news on my google speaker?

I have amazon prime and google speakers. There's no way to listen to npr news podcast ad-free/add it to my morning news on my google speaker w/o double-paying? 👎

I have it play as part of my morning news on my google speaker, and it keeps mentioning that I can listen to it ad-free with my Amazon Prime membership ... but it seems I can't, practically speaking. Workaround ideas?

Are nitr*tes ever necessary in frozen food (like sausage pizza)?

I would totally buy frozen meat pizzas if they stopped putting nitrate preservatives in the meats. I used to get them all the time, but stopped for health reasons. Surely they sell it in sufficient volume that they can skip putting nitrates in frozen food? Or is there a regulatory issue that prevents them from doing so?

It’s pretty clear to me that there’s some interesting chemistry involving nitrates, including natural ones, and meats, creating carcinogens in the gut, being the main or at least a very significant contributor to cancer rates blamed on meat in general.

If you’re reading this : would this reformation influence your buying?

Signature product reformation-e.g. nitrates

I wonder if any of the Safeway/Albertsons/Cerberus folks who formulate Signature products follow this Subreddit.

Dynamic Surveillance Pricing: "If you work on the... pricing team, I'd love to talk." - More Perfect Union journalist

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2erhiRb-Wbs&t=614 came out this week.

"If you work in the grocery business, I’d love to talk. If you work in growth management or a category manager or on the pricing team drop us a line at stories@perfectunion.us Even if you just work on pricing algorithms I would love to talk." ("just" ? That's the beating heart of it!?)

“FDA’s vaccine committee just shamelessly voted to recommend an updated Covid-19 vaccine, ignoring its incredible trail of harm”-Aaron Siri

Curious if anyone can directly dispute the (alleged) facts herein with evidence. Ad hominem attacks and gish gallop, not direct disputes will be an admission that you can’t.*

  1. over 7% of the 10 million V-Safe users reported needing medical care after a Covid-19 vaccine, on average 2 to 3 times each, with over 70% of those medical encounters resulting in hospitalization, emergency room, or urgent care.

  2. that in the clinical trial for Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine there were 21 deaths in the vaccinated group and 17 deaths in the placebo group, meaning more in the vaccinated group, during the same time period and, I note, the placebo group had more people than the vaccinated group. (*For example, pointing out this isn’t statistically significant isn’t a factual dispute, and thus would be an admission that the facts are as alleged.)

I see it mentioned on the interwebs for Mint Mobile, but can't find it mentioned officially. (Visiting mailmymobile.net results in a weird redirect and then weird SSL errors.)

I tried sending a few test messages via the tmomail.net gateway and find that most messages don't get through. Understandably, the spam filtering is very aggressive...

I have a SIEVE rule that I triggers when I get an important email (e.g. from bank, family, etc.) and it's supposed notify me by sending a short message via an email-SMS gateway.
