Just had to cancel all my plans for a second day to lay down and feel sick

This week already suuucks because a dead loved ones birthday is coming up and now I got my period. So apart from all the PMS and feeling like no one likes me and Im failing in life for the last 1-2 weeks, Im now stuck at home, in pain and nauseous. Yay 🥴

Anyone else? What tf do you do in those times? I have to get Up, leave the house and get painkillers at the pharmacy and even that feels so daunting

What could women do to help you open up/be vulnerable?

Ive heard this from both men and women in a relationship with men now and have recently dealt with it too...men just dont wanna show vulnerability/weakness because society is still on this "men have to be strong at all times" trip.

So my queation is how could a woman actually help you open up about your feelings/struggles? What would make you feel confident and safe enough to do so?

To the Gays and bisexuals: How do you date? 🥲

So yeah, here I am again, the freakin Zionist who's not even jewish (yet) and still gets bombarded With antisemitism. I just realised, after years of having female crushes, that I might really be bi and thought: OK, Well lets get on a dating app and try this out.

And apart from the typical wanting to only have hook-ups, threesomes etc. of course we get the antisemits 🙄

"No Zionists" in bio, a certain flag, all that Stuff. I have a picture in my Profile that I took during Eurovision, supporting Noam with the Israeli flag. And well, I can clearly see that in the likes (~10) and matches (1).

Id love to date in real life but dont think a gay bar would be a great place as a Zionist 🥲

How is just wanting to date such a big Deal? How do you deal with this?

How do I accept that my actual dad doesn't wanna talk feelings?

So, long Story short, I (F, 27) and my dad (M, 59) just recently got back in contact again after my no contact 6 years ago due to pretty Bad emotional abuse. It ran through my whole family and Im still no contact with my mothers side.

Hes been nothing but supportive but this weekend I wasnt feeling too well and wanted to talk about it and he kept changing the topics. I pulled him aside and told him about it and he said: Well, the amount makes the poison. As in: if you dont talk about it too much, it'll be fine.

I ended up crying because I just had an overwhelming week and he did hug me and later offered to lock arms and Take a Walk. I know hes trying but Im disappointed that hes not the kind of parent who you can discuss everything with. Because apart from my very old grandparents, hes the only Family I got.

He had an abusive childhood too and also grew up in a time where men just had to "man up". My mother is also highly narcissistic and the marriage was god awful on both parts. The day after, He did tell me he didnt mean it that way but also told me I just dont see how hard hes trying and then get worked up over a single thing.

I dont know, it was awkward after that.

Im trying to acknowledge that he changed in so many ways and is really trying but its also hard because I just wanna be in the daughter role sometimes and be able to hold onto him but Im feeling like he still needs someone like that too. I understand that but Im still disappointed.

How do I deal with this, dads? 🥲

The prices on this are insane 🙃

I just got the Email on the new merch together with Tomorrowland. I mean, Im glad theres a tribute and the money will be donated but I feel like merch is becoming more expensive by the day.

70€ for a shirt and 150€ for a hoodie? 😭

I really liked the design but this is insane

Greta Thunberg was just in my city, wearing a "yalla intifada" Shirt. Im sick to my stomach

I moved to Berlin in Janaury this year and so far, havent seen as much antisemitism/Antizionism as I feared I would. Ive had a couple potential friendships fall through because of their insane views on Gaza and October 7th but also had people accept me.

Hell, my whatsapp profile picture shows me with an Israel flag around my shoulders at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Now I just saw that theres been Another left wing protest here yesterday, against the weapon industry.

And who's there? Greta Thunberg in an "yalla intifada" Shirt. Literally, I feel like Im losing my mind. Who thinks thats OK? How did we come so far that someone wears this out in Public, thinking its cool? Does she, does anyone know what this means?? Im scared that people here will think its cool that she was here and they wont even think about the damn shirt. Like oh yeah, you do you, Greta or whatever. I literally feel like Im around a bunch of brainwashed people. How did we get here, especially in freakin Germany?

Everything in my life is going great but I can't enjoy it anymore

Sorry for the downer but its been so helpful to talk about my feelings with everyone on here and today is just heavy.

My life is going so great this year. I had a pretty hard past: abusive family, chronic depression, anxiety, OCD, no friends, was bullied for being different.

This year, I moved to the capital city of my country, got a job I love with amazing coworkers, made new friends, got back in touch with my dad after 6 years, medication is helping with my illnesses etc.

A week or so before Olivers death, I remember thinking: this year is just amazing and theres nothing negative so far. Normally, I'll always have to deal with at least one death. And here we are.

I have days where Olivers death makes me return to my old creative hobbies, makes me be myself more and be more present. Today I have a day where everything feels dull, my body feels heavy, my heart hurts and I can't stop thinking about what happened to his beautiful body and that we'll have to bury him later this month. In less than 3 weeks. And I wish I could stop time somehow and go back and get him out of this Helicopter.

I feel almost guilty too because I'm not living every day to the fullest. Today, I just go grocery shopping, Clean a bit, go to my dentist appointment and spend too much time scrolling in between because I feel too heavy to do anything productive. And then I feel Like Im doing Oliver a disservice.

Im so terrified of his celebration of life because I can't stand the thought that this is really forever, that this really happened to him and Im annoyed because I can't feel happy about the things that I have, that so many people would be grateful to have...

It's finally hitting me

Its the middle of the night where I am and I can't sleep because today the finality of all of this finally hit me. I refused to grieve in the past two weeks. I knew two of his songs, that was it. I found out about the rest of his music, his wisdom and wit after his death. I didnt cry, I didnt really tell anyone. The people I did tell Mostly brushed it Off.

This is not my first rodeo, so many of the people that inspired and helped me have passed. Im so done with grieving and tragic things happening to good people.

The Celebration of life...It seems so absurd to have a celebration of life for an 32 year old guy. I can't imagine him in a coffin, it makes me so sick.

And his poor family, friends, girlfriend...how does this even happen, isn't the sky big enough for two helicopters to just exist next to each other without crashing like that?

Its so horrible and he was so kind, Im literally sick

Where can I find regular groups for dancing, acting etc.?

So after being in Berlin for 6 months, Ive decided to finally get some hobbies. Id love to have regular classes in something, enjoy acting, dancing, being creative...

But so far, Im a bit overwhelmed 😅 I thought about VHS but most of their course will only start in August/September.

Im a uni Student so a bit on a budget, its an online uni though so I'm not sure if I can take part in uni courses?

So...what is everyone doing indoors this weekend?

Just read that everyone is supposed to stay indoors because of the heat. I normally meet a friend on the weekend and go to a flea market or swimming but that wont be happening this week.

So...whats happening indoors except for reading and lots of Netflix?

Got sad over the 1 week anniversary and didnt wanna be sad so I set this as my phone background 😭😂

This is probably so dumb but Ive been getting really sad and just dont want to. My birthday is coming up, I have to study for an exam and I just want to think of him in a happy way. I randomly found this on Pinterest and now I have to laugh every time I switch on my phone 🥹

u/MrsKenedi — 2 months ago

Barely knew about him but feel so sad and angry about this

I only really knew Miss you and while that was one of my favorites, I never knew much about Oliver as a Person. But now that I'm seeing everyones posts about him and got to hear a few songs, I feel so sad. And angry too.

Basically every musician who meant something to me died prematurely and I guess Im just over people dying. Especially dying tragically. Like why can't everyone turn 80 and die a normal boring death in their bed?

Im angry that someone talented and apparently very kind died in such a dumb way. In a weird way, Im angry when people dont talk about him but at the same time feel weird talking about him myself because what did I even know about him? Im angry that I now have new favorite songs that will always be tainted. Its so unnecessary and gosh his poor family, friends and fans

If a girl would ask you to go swimming as a first meet up would you realise she's interested in you or just see her as a new swimming buddy?

Hi!

So I met this guy at an event. We got introduced, had a little talk about our jobs and the event and I thought he was cute. Seemed very shy though.

Ive gotten more extroverted in the last years so I texted him after and found out what hobbies he has etc.

One was swimming. So I was like: oh fun, have you ever tried swimming in the local river? He told me in his part of the city, its very dirty so after some playful back and forth, I said: you should come to my part of the city and go swimming here. He told me hes always up for an adventure and proposed a time.

Now Im wondering though. Does he get that I ask because Id like to get to know him or does he think: oh great, a new swimming buddy. Could he even have a girlfriend? Would you go swimming with a female if you had a girlfriend? 😅

What is the big difference between FedEx and USPS?

Hi!

Ive just won at auction and now Im talking about shipping with them. I already spent way too much money on the items (celebrity stuff) and will have to get it shipped to Europe.

They said I can choose between FedEx (1.100$) and USPS (550$).

To me, thats an insane difference so I'm wondering whats the big difference between them?

Does USPS toss all their packages into the next river or what is it?

The need to get everyone opinion/approval

Im trying to be on my phone less and less and Ive already succeeded in deleting most social Media platforms, most importantly Instagram and TikTok.

And Ive seen the positive effects of it. But one thing I can't seem to stop is wanting everyones opinions. Every time I doubt myself, I ask the internet for opinions.

If theyre positive, I feel better, capable even. But of course, most times theyre not. I end up getting bashed and read a ton of peoples negative opinions about my thoughts and feelings instead of doing what I was supposed to be doing. I could delete Reddit and Id still feel like that.

Ive grown so accostumed to that. In my teens, I didnt have a social circle so Ive always just asked the internet. Now I can ask all my friends, family, coworkers but I still need everyones approval.

Has anyone dealt with that too? How do I stop that?

First flight alone after losing loved ones in crash

Im having my first flight alone today. I was always a bit scared of flying but that all got way worse in 2016 when I had to grieve multiple loved ones that died in a crash. I know how rarely it happens, I know even the survivors of that crash and other loved ones flew again. I did in 2019 as well. But now my bus is nearing the Airport and all I can think of is the last picture they posted before leaving and how no one ever saw them again...

Is anyone going to Vienna to support Noam?

Hope its ok to ask in this subreddit, I was a bit hesitant to bring it up in the Vienna or Eurovision subreddits. So I (26F, non-jewish Zionist) am going to Eurovision for the first time in my life and will be traveling from Berlin to Vienna from the 11th to the 15th. Im a big fan of Noam and would love to meet up with Others also supporting him and Israel in Eurovision but am obviously scared to Just hit locals up.

I dont know if theres any events where Noam will be present, so far I only know that Theres Coffee houses that each represent a country (whatever thatll look like). So Id also love to visit the one representing Israel.

This will be my first time solo traveling abroad and attending such a big event (though Ill only attend the rehearsals of the semi finals) and Im a bit scared of antisemitism/antizionism and all that. So would love to just hang out with people that get that 🙈

I(F26) have been estranged from my father since 2021, from my mother since 2022. She was a textbook abuser and was way worse than him but I found out way later. He scared me as a child, He was loud and angry and I always had to walk on egg shells. He had a shitty childhood but wasnt up to Change at that time. He tried to keep in contact with me and moved out after he made me feel really horrible once. Tried to reconcile but always said the wrong things.

Fast forward to now. In the past weeks, we started texting a bit more. He supported me when I broke my wrist and gave advice when I went through Heartbreak. I'll have to move and my big city Friends/acquaintances all bailed on me so He offered to Drive the 400km and help me move and after giving it some thought, I said yes. So yeah...tomorrow morning we're seeing each other again for the First time since 2021. Im nervous
