SIB Death Stranding 2 On The Beach if I beat the first when it first came out?

I want to say I think Hideo Kojima is WAY overrated. The first Death Stranding was alright, but I barely remember the story. It's on sale on Steam right now and I'm debating whether I should get it or not. I thought the first one had way too many cutscenes. Like I'll walk a mile then a cutscene, another mile or 2 and boom another cutscene. Interact with something? Cutscene! So is the second one that way or is it better? Also, is it better in every way or is it not worth it?

What are some ways I can make myself feel something again?

I'm 27 years old and I still live with my parents because I'm having a really hard time finding a job (even entry level) and sort of disabled so I need medical care/assistance. I'm a huge gamer and lately I haven't been in the mood to play anything. There are definitely games I want to play and have, but it feels like a chore to play them. I also love to be in the kitchen whether it's cooking or baking and again that hasn't been having the usual effect. Same with reading and playing the guitar. I don't know what to do?

Maybe getting out of the house will help or finding a new hobby? I have been trying to get into crossword puzzles just to keep my brain stimulated. I just feel so... numb? I really don't know how to get out of this episode. Anyone have any kind of advice?

WSIB open world survival craft games that have a rhythm or pattern?

Open world survival crafting games are probably one of my favorite genres. I'm not looking for something with a massive empty map, more like Abiotic Factor or Graveyard Keeper (I know it's not an open world survival craft game). In Abiotic Factor I love the small map and how I have to unlock shortcuts to get back home safely. In Graveyard Keeper I love the aspect of having to plan ahead like "I have to travel here to unlock this, make this now so I have it ready by this day" and such thoughts. Does anyone have any recommendations based on these 2 requirements?

How do I get rid of the "no views=failure" mindset?

I want to start live streaming me playing video games since I play games all the time and I figured might as well stream it, as a hobby not a job. The only thing stopping me is the mindset of "no one will watch" and I know that going into streaming with the mindset is the wrong reason. In reality I don't care about getting paid for it, but it's that mindset that keeps me from actually going through with it. Also, my reactions to certain moments in playing are genuine not like the YouTubers you see that exaggerate everything so I'm not sure how that'll work. For now I don't plan on showing my face or even my voice, but down the road who knows. Anyways, how can I get rid of the mindset I'm having? Thank you!

SIB Silent Hill 2 on Steam?

I've never played the original, but I have an older brother who explained the lore to me like what the enemies represent and the big revelation. The remake looks like a game I would definitely be interested in, but I don't know if it's one of those games I can see myself coming back to from time to time or spend a lot of hours on. In your opinion is this game worth it?

WSIB open world survival horror games?

Some horror games I love are the RE series, Dead Rising, and Dead Space. I'm thinking of getting the Silent Hill 2 remake since I just started Cronos: The New Dawn and I'm loving it so far. I want something that'll make me jump with every noise and be tense all the time. I also would prefer it to be a game where I have to explore and unlock new areas

The reason I put "open world" is because I want the game to last a REALLY long time and not just a one and done. Does anyone have any recommendations?

WSIB COD game that has "outbreak" zombies?

I haven't touched a COD since MW1 (remake version) and my favorite story was IW. From what I understand there is a zombies mode for all CODs nowadays and recently they added an open world style zombies? If that's the case then my interest is definitely peaked since I'm a sucker for open world zombie games. In your opinion which game that is on sale is actually worth it?

WSIB pirate game while I wait for Black Flag Resynced?

I like being able to explore the seas, control a boat and fight other pirates. I gave Skull And Bones a try, but there was something about it that would make me take long breaks from it. Another game I played is Windrose and that game is so much fun! Now that there’s a Steam sale going on I was wondering if there are any other games of this nature that I can get on sale while I wait for July 9th?

What settings do you think is best for someone who has never played this game?

I was about to start playing, but when I was looking at the customization options I saw "cave in" (disabled) which made my eyes widen. So now I don't know if I should or shouldn't enable it. I also don't know if there are more realistic settings. What options do you think is best to learn all the mechanics of this game at my own pace?

What can I tell my partner of 2 years to get me for my birthday?

I'm a 26 (about to be 27 in a couple days) year old male and my partner (fiancée to be exact) feels bad because she doesn't know what to get me. I told her I just want to spend the day with her, but she really wants to get me something that's not video games (I'm a huge gamer). My other hobbies include cooking, baking, getting cook books that are video game themed, playing the guitar, and occasional reading. I really want to get into foraging/gathering. Like I saw a REALLY cool thing called a "mushroom starter kit" and as someone who devours mushrooms I would love that. I also want to start growing fresh herbs/spices as I feel like that is loads healthier than store bought, help the environment, and could be therapeutic since I got sever depression. Should I tell her I want to get into that and maybe her and I can look at what we like?

PS: Sorry I should've clarified that the thing stopping me from actually going through with the herb and spice growing is the fact that I don't have a green thumb. At least with the mushroom one it's literally just spray water and leave it in a cool damp place

Can anybody please provide tips on starting out?

So far I've played almost 2 hours and I've only gotten one or two successful hunts. I get impatient just crouching around and covering little ground. I found a few hunting posts, but there never seems to be any animals. Is this a very slow paced game or am I just bad/impatient?

WSIB hunting game that has a wide variety of species?

I'm looking for a somewhat realistic hunting game where there is a huge variety of species to hunt. I know of Call Of The Wild and Way Of The Hunter, but from what I understand there are multiple maps and each map has different kinds of animals based on the location. I was looking for something with 1 map and if it has DLCs the DLC will just increase the map size or add new animals and not a whole new one, if that makes sense. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

WSIB space exploration game?

I love exploring things like new planets and species. The perfect example is No Man's Sky, the scenery in that game is... WOW! Another example, but not as good is Starfield. I would say Elite Dangerous but the world in that games feels pretty empty. That and every time I try to do something I get a fine. Also, I have this weird fear of large objects. So when I approach the planets I start panicking and it keeps getting worse as I land. I don't feel that way with the first 2 mentioned games because No Man's Sky is cartoony and Starfield loads you on the planet instead of a smooth transition. Does anyone have any recommendations that sort of don't have that?

What helps you getting back in the mood to do things?

I’ve been suffering from severe depression, anxiety, and OCD since I was 12 (about to be 27 in a few days) and so far things have been LOADS better than before. But now I’m feeling numb to everything. I’m jobless and live with my parents because I’m disabled to a certain degree. All I do is play video games, help with chores around the house, cook, bake, read, and play the guitar. I bought some books to celebrate my birthday (FNAF books) and as soon as I got home to read I lost the mood to read them. Now I’m losing the mood to do everything else
I have an appointment coming up soon and I definitely going to tell my psychiatrist about this, but I don’t know what to do about it in the meantime? Does anyone have any advice?

WSIB RPG games on Steam?

Some examples of games I've played are the Diablo games and Kingdom of Amalur. I was thinking of getting the remaster, but not 100% sold on it. Another example is the Elder Scrolls games and Dragons Dogma 1 & 2. I'm looking for something similar to the above titles. I know a common one is Fable (not the new one), but I can't get past the old graphics and clunky feel. Is there something more modern that is similar to the previously mentioned games?

Which of these games is more PvE/solo friendly on Steam?

My options are basically Fallout 76, Red Dead Online, and Grand Theft Auto V Online. I’ve played all of these, but it’s been a while for the first and last game. In RDO I just started and so far have had a mostly positive experience. There was one time a posse leader tried to lasso me and I couldn’t shoot back so I’m assuming he was hacking?
Anyways, in GTA Online I play in a solo lobby, but I’m thinking of going into a random lobby and giving it a chance. I’m just worried about running into hackers and people who kill me for no reason.
It’s been at least 2 years since I’ve played Fallout 76, but I think I had a problem with leveling up and doing enough damage to enemies.
Anyways, I’m having trouble deciding which of these games is more “solo” friendly? Which one is more PvE friendly?
EDIT: for context, I have VERY bad social anxiety so I’m looking for the one that is the most solo friendly or at the very least has the friendliest community

I have a couple questions about interacting with others in this game

I’m trying this game online for the first time and I don’t know what to expect. Like if they loot a body do I not get anything and only get my rewards through the missions? Are there a lot of hackers? Is the community toxic? Sorry, it’s just that I never play online games and really nervous and don’t want to have a bad experience lol

How can I play online games when I’m EXTREMELY introverted?

I’m a huge gamer and lately I’ve been playing games like Marathon and Arc Raiders. Right now I want to hop on Red Dead Online, but I’m absolutely panicked about interacting with others. At least in the other 2 (mainly arc raiders) I don’t have to directly interact with others. I can just press an emote saying I’m friendly or hide until they leave. In Red Dead I have to play missions with or against them. Is there a way I can actually get over this worry? I figured this would be a good subreddit to ask this since it’s introvert focused. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

WSIB peaceful games that are farming or/and cooking focused?

I’ve been looking on the Steam store for games. Specifically games where you cook food from ingredients you gather, either cooking for yourself or for customers. I know there’s a huge category for these games like Stardew Valley, Farming Simulator, Cooking Simulator, Battle Chef Brigade, etc. but I’m being very picky. I would also LOVE a game where I can write down the ingredients and steps so I can actually cook them in real life. The last one is not necessary just cool. Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions?

WSIB if I want to play extraction shooters without PvP?

I know the point of an extraction shooter is to face other players and if you die you lose everything you looted. But sometimes I get tired of dying to others. Like I’ll be looting and then all of a sudden I get killed by some random person I crossed paths with. I’ve been playing Marathon for a while since there was a free period on Steam and WOW! It was a really fun experience, frustrating, but overall fun. So I’m looking for something that has a similar gameplay mechanic of “enter, loot, die and lose/extract and keep, next round” just without the PvP? Best example I currently have is The Division 2 which is probably my favorite “multiplayer” games. Anyone have any suggestions?
PS: one game I found that looks interesting is “Species Unknown”, but I don’t know if that game is the same genre?
