Question about reading.

Does anybody else experience this? I've read that this is dyslexia related. When I read, I can get about a paragraph in and all the sudden I will get extremely tired. As in my brain can't keep up. Eventually the reading speed will slow down and I will end up getting stuck on a particular sentence or word. It feels like I just can't get past the period at the end of the sentence and I am stuck rereading the same sentence or word over and over until I feel a sense of completion and can finally move on. It's a nightmare. It feels like hell. Comic books aren't much better because eventually I get stuck on whatever the panel is and I can't move past that either.

I also experience where my reading will slow down while I'll just keep moving on. The only way I know how to explain it is imagine a video that is skipping. The audio gets stuck behind while the rest of the video plays. I can be stuck on a sentence and just keep going. 🤦🏻 I'll end up filling in the gaps of what apparently happened. I always catch this when it happens and I don't quite understand why this is happening. Does anybody else go through this? Is there a way to make this not happen? Is this normal?

Looking for something about orphans finding family.

Sorry if this is a little confusing. I am looking for something a can relate to. An anime from the POV of the child growing and learning to cope with not having a family. Maybe an adult navigating the emotions of not having a family and being alone in the world.

I've seen Beastars and can't bring myself to get past the second season where Louis confronts his father. It gives me flashbacks.

Somali and the Forest Spirit. ): If only it had more seasons.

Oban Star-Racers. Kinda shows how the MC feels.

Deer King.

Witch Blade(both versions). It would have been nice if the girl was told who her parents were.

Made in abyss. Usually I can tell how something is going to end but this one I am really waiting for what happens next.

Assassination classroom. ): It hit so close to home.

The Ancient Magus' Bride. I wish they would have explored more into her life before the adoption.

91 Days.

I couldn't get into Fruits Basket or The Promised Neverland.

I hated Spy x Family big time.

I'm not wanting anything with a fairytale ending(Like pretend mommy and daddy bought me and I have a family now.). I prefer something more realistic. Something that explores the emotions they go through(possibly leaving or already out of the fog) and the struggles of attachment issues.

Having some issues trying to talk to my lawyer.

I talked to an assistant for my attorney. She said she was looking over the bureau website and it doesn't show that I've received any kind of treatment. She was trying to ask me if this was true. It is. I was asking her if I decided to dismiss them as my lawyer then what would happen. She said I would just navigate things alone and I asked her if there was anything I would have to pay back to them upon dismissing. She informed me that there was not much money that she could see from the account. I'm not going to put the amount here but it's something I can afford. I asked her if that could be mailed to me and she said I had to set up an appointment with the lawyer to see if he deems I should receive it.

My lawyer called me this morning asking me if I'm having symptoms still but I'm not experiencing what he claims I'm experiencing. I told him I'm still having problems and he wants my income information to see if he can get me some kind of income. What exactly does this mean? Is he trying to get me on disability? I considered doing that myself for another medical condition I have. I don't know what this person's doing and everything seems so unclear to me.

I've talked to another law office and they told me they can't do anything until I dismiss this lawyer first. This lawyer said that she was patient and they will listen to me. I also can see them in person if I wish. This law office told me that if I did get on disability for my other medical condition then it wouldn't affect me getting treatment for workers comp.

Is all of this normal? I'm so confused in what's going on. How can I convince my lawyer to send me an itemized billing statement? What is this income my lawyer is trying to get me? Should I even try to go to on disability? I have talked to the disability office and they also tell me that it shouldn't affect my workers comp case. I am trying my hardest to get another job but I know the moment I do then I won't be able to do any sort of treatment because nowhere is going to be flexible.

How can I work with octopi?

I've been struggling to find Something I want to do with my life. I've seen some videos of Someone Getting to know their octopus and it sparked joy in me. I want to learn more about these creatures and what are possible opportunities I could have as a way of work to work with them? I'd like some ideas and guidance.

The pain of not having a family doesn't go away.

I am 34 and was adopted as an infant. I didn't bond to my AP. I honestly wanted to go back into the system and grow up in an orphanage. My AP are not family. I want them off my fake birth certificate. They are not my parents. My BM doesn't want me and my BF disowned me. I am truly alone. I wish there was something for adults. I want to have a dad that will talk to me and contact me from time to time. If only I could choose my family, be adopted as an adult. I've grown. No one wants someone as an adult, only a child. I feel like at my age maybe trying to have grandparents would be a better option... It doesn't get better or improve.

Question about speech therapy.

Today the speech therapist had me color while I was talking to her so she could see if I had problems with my speech while I was doing something. She wants me to do this again next visit.(Spoiler alert: All I did was pause a few times.) Is there anything else I can do? I've already done the coloring and I don't want to do it again. It's not something I can actually lock into. What else can I do during the visits? Handheld video games will not be an option here. I really have no hobbies and there's not anything I enjoy doing that I can actually bring there.

When does feeling better begin?

How long before I go into ketosis? It's been 3 weeks and my diet has been ground beef with water. Ik everyone on the fence about honey but i've only had 3 cups coffee with honey and that began this week. I've lost 4 pounds the first week and it's been stalled since.

Don't get me wrong, I like waking up and my eyes not being swollen shut. I'm just exhausted and tired all the time.

I can't seem to communicate with anyone.

I'm in tears right now. I've left an online community after one of the people told me that I come off as passive aggresive and they don't know how to talk to me because of it. Which explains why no one seemed to talk to or respond to me. This isn't the first time i've been told that i've been a problem. I honestly have no idea how to talk to people or communicate. I don't like when people huddle in the opposite corner of a room and i'm told not to speak to them. I don't like when people tell me they don't want me around and I shouldn't be out in society. It saddens me when i'm told I don't belong and shouldn't speak to anyone. There have been multiple occations of these. I wish that I could leave society. No talking, no communication with the outside world, no more doctors, no food, no going to the store, nothing. I just want to be alone till I leave this world.

I am recovered but missing the silence.

I am 34 and can talk to people without a problem. I hate being alone. I am an extrovert, seeking communication with anyone that can't seem to make friends. However, I didn't begin talking till I was 19. Progressively mute till I became what society considered an adult. Now, I want to not talk again. I want to not talk and still be in society. Possibly using another form of communication. I miss being mute but still want to be around people.

My safe list has shrunk to barely anything.

My allergies just keep coming. The foods that I was eating was putting me in a state of constant anaphylactic shock. I've been using epinephrine to breathe and didn't know that I had more allergies. It's getting to the point where I can only eat certain Meats and maybe one or two varieties of fish. The only nuts I can have are pistachios and cashews(I hate cashews). I thought I could eat seeds but it turns out I can't have sesame seeds. I don't know about other ones such as pumpkin seeds. Sugar causes some kind of issues with breathing so I can't have anything sweet(This goes for natural and chemical. The body can't tell the difference.). I can have fruit but it's only a select few. I'm so miserable. I can't eat anything other than meat and a couple of fruits.

I don't know if it's related but a couple of CT scans have picked up I have fatty infiltration of the liver along with fatty liver. I have gallstones that I've been trying to flush and no liver flukes have come out so I'm not sure if I actually have any or not. I have fungal pneumonia of the lungs. The doctor thinks that whenever all of this is treated and done with things may not go back to how it was before. I'm basically carnivore diet with some fruits here and there and I am miserable. I just wanted to talk to others that got it or understood what I was going through. For my own life and keeping my throat from closing, I cannot eat anything else. Is there anybody else out there with an IgE of 4,000+? Has anybody else going through when I'm going through and can relate? There are some days that I feel like I'm the only person in the world with all these allergies and can't eat much of anything. This isn't anything new. I was born with an allergy and it just kept coming from there.

I feel like i'm being trafficked all over again.

I was adopted as an infant. Now when I become employed anywhere, it feels like i'm being adopted all over again. It feels like my body is no longer mine and my employers act abusive. It reminds me of my AP. I considered voice acting but I feel like my voice would be sold. I don't want to train an AI. I want to have control over my body. It just terrifies me trying to find employment anywhere. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to overcome this and get an income again?

How much do I pay for yard work help?

My neighbor told me her son was looking for things to do over the summer to earn a little extra money. I was thinking about asking him to help clear the weeds out of the backyard which has become overgrown. Would $20 a trash bag be fair? I feel bad not doing it myself and I worked hard to get half of it done. I've been diagnosed with pneumonia which I've been fighting with multiple rounds of antibiotics that just won't clear up. My health is not well and I would like to have some help. Of course I'll help him but I don't know what to pay him.

Question about dismissing my lawyer.

I had finally received an email from my lawyer that states if they win the case for me then they get 33.113% of the final settlement. They also require for me to pay for anything they've done up till this point if they are no longer my lawyer. I got on the OBWC website to see what all exactly was on record that my lawyer did and it shows that there was one court case meeting that was attended over the phone. I remember this and I was instructed to stay quiet for the whole 3 minutes I was on the phone with everybody before it was decided whatever the next step was. That's the only thing I can see on the website that the lawyer actually did besides me signing paperwork to hire them. Does this mean that I would just pay for that court hearing? How do I find out how much that would be? This lawyer is pretty set on me not getting care and them just closing the case. How would I approach telling this lawyer that I am dismissing them and figuring out how to pay for the one thing that they had done?

Can't get unemployment and apparently I haven't worked in years.

I had to go to unemployment for snap purposes. The woman was looking through my employment history told me that I hadn't worked since 2024 according to their records. 🤔 I spent 2 years as a line cook. I have paystubs and W-2's. I know I can't get unemplyment but why would it show the 2 years I spent at that job never happened? I remember when getting my W-2 we had to go in and have them handed to us. There was no mailing them out. When people no longer employed there came in to pick theirs up, my boss had to fo something on the computer to prove they were there. Is this something I should talk to a worker at the unemployment office about or just keep trying to look for another job?

Question about possible contraction of hepatitis and fatty liver.

NSFW: Mention rape and fire arms.

I am 34, AFAB. 7 years ago I had a female friend that was a junkie(her words). She wanted me. I told her no and she said if I tried to leave she would reach for a firearm. I said no but she said yes and that's all I want to say about that.

Afterwards I became ill. A cold that lasted for a few months. I felt like something was wrong. I've had STD testing and it all came back negative. Between then and now my legs and stomach have swollen, slight cobblestones in my thighs, rare pain on skin, pain in my upper left abdomen, nausea, vomiting, reflux, wheezing, difficulty breathing, and a lot of weight gain. It took this long, a few pulminologists, a cardiologist, obgyn's, pcp's, and my current NP before I stopped hearing that I was too young to have health problems and all this is in my head. I spent a year doing strict diet and exercise which I only gained thinking this could be medical. I saw a NP and was diagnosed with lymphodema. The specialist told me to get a second opinion from a vein specialist because I have port wine stain birthmark and the treatment didn't really do anything. He did a vein test to check for venous insufficiency which came back with There is decreased attenuation in the hepatic parenchyma suggesting fatty infiltration in the results. Basically fatty liver. I did some reading to see exactly what it was and how I can change my already strict allery limited diet to help myself. 😞 I read hepatitis could be a possibility. I don't drink or smoke. I don't do drugs. I'm considered boring for this. Could I have gotten hepatitis from the night I was assaulted even though we are both female? Is hepatitis even treatable? I do have another test coming up for Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome in a few weeks. Should I call my doc and schedule to talk about my current results and possible testing/referral for hepatitis? Could I still have it after all this time and are my symptoms even related? I want to not be 350 pounds with swollen legs/thigh/belly. I want to stop throwing up. I am actively seeking a therapist for hypochondria since i've been told this is normal, nothing can be done, and it's all in my head.

I am 34... I have no job and I'm thinking about changing career from trade work or line cook to something else. I have no idea what to do with my life and I need to try and find something that's disability friendly for my lower back injury and allows me to go to the bathroom without timing me. The second one isn't so much of a requirement since I can be quick but I kind of want to experience what it's like not being timed to go to the bathroom. I'm not sure what to do. I was a welder and I used to really enjoy cooking but I want places not so toxic. I want to be able to sit down during my shift and have a break without having to earn my right to take one when I work 12 to 16 hours. I want...something new... What's something I can look into trying that pays at least $12 an hour?
