JVC Parkonic charges twice within same zone & same hour?

Their customer support says it's not a mistake & if you change from one street to another it's chargeable again, regardless of within same zone & same hour. That's crazy. How do I avoid this in future?

Why won’t iPhone calendar search work?

Any ideas what’s causing this? I’ve noticed often that it doesn’t work reliably. Doesn’t list existing reminders even when I search for them exactly

Leveraged deposits from UAE banks?

Particularly interested in FCNR leveraged deposits. HSBC is giving me 6x leverage with a spread of 1% (5.8% deposit vs 4.75% loan), wonder if any better options out there? Thanks.

How to get contact anniversary?

In the list there is no option for anniversary/custom label date. Any way to extract custom label and date from Contacts? If possible on macOS, even that is fine.

My end goal is to make calendar entries for these custom label dates. Apple calendar automatically shows only birthdays. Thanks.

EDIT - ALTERNATE SOLUTION WORKED OUT, although very inelegant

Firstly Save all contacts to Files (like this https://preview.redd.it/z60i5j4vqgah1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22b07a816d70dcc8bcf9f8c539383cdf9aec92a9). You'll need to give persmission in Settings > Shortcuts > Advanced > Allow sharing Large amounts of Data

Then you'll have folder full of VCF files, which are basically txt files. AirDrop this folder to a computer, & there you can convert all to txt & then concatenate all txts into a single txt (you'll need Python/terminal know-how for that yeah)

& then Control/Command F & search for "anniversary" & you'll see all the contacts where you have an anniversary date saved. Will be some gibberish entry like this "item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Anniversary>!$_" and the date will be above it. This same method you can also use to search for your custom labels inside the txt file.

Swipe bottom menubar right/left to go back/forward?

In the original Apollo, if you swiped right/left on bottom menubar then you could go back/forward respectively. Any idea on how to enable that feature? It was very useful. thank you.

High time Indian kids learnt Table Manners

My bro & his partner got upset when I tried telling my 4yo niece not to suck drinks in, just tilt the cup further. She (partner) had earlier even got mad when I told my niece not to smack food in her mouth. I'm just gently trying to teach the kid good table manners, not shouting/scolding/arguing with her, simply small nudges now & then towards eating & drinking quietly. Poor kid listens & tries to do her best, but sad to see her parents's total lackadaisical attitude towards table manners. As if table manners are nothing to learn at all.

How will kids learn if parents don't bother at all? It's absolutely disgusting to see adults chewing with open mouths & slurping in solid dry rice... and kids are only going to learn these awful habits watching adults.

ABSOLUTE high time we start teaching kids:

1 - No slurping/sucking in: milk, sambhar, soup, tea, etc

2 - Eating with mouth closed

3 - No smacking tongue while eating

4 - No sucking/slurping in foods, see people doing it with rice, gravies, etc

5 - No burping loudly as if your host is going to be grateful crap

Please teach your kids the above, I notice that we absolutely ignore this thing while teaching other things to kids.

How to see posts ONLY from followed people?

Tapping on Instagram > Following is useless as it shows posts barely till 5 days old. Thereafter it blatantly lies “End of following - There are no more posts from accounts you follow from the past 30 days.”

Any other better way to browse my friends’ posts?
