Meal prep doesn’t mean boring!

This weekend I meal prepped some VN lemongrass chicken rice bowls (Cơm Gà) with lettuce, fresh herbs (onions, cilantro, and mint), carrots, and cucumber, with some crushed peanuts. Made my own version of the fish sauce dressing (nước chấm). Really tasty and helps the work day go by.

Was I the only kid watching “boring” grown up shows?

Northern Exposure was one of my favorites as an adolescent. Twin Peaks, Seinfeld, Law & order, M*A*S*H*, etc. were some of my other favorites and my friends always made fun of me for it lol.

Low quality pic, but high quality taste

It’s close enough to heirloom tomato season right?? Anyway, BLT with dijonnaise on sourdough

I fucked up and don’t know what to do

Ok so, I decided to give a listen to the audiobook, Stop Caretaking the Borderline… this morning and heard an example of a BPD mother going off on her child for missing school assignments and thought wow that’s relatable.

So fast forward to my daughter and I talking about my wife going in on her about her missing assignments in a similar fashion. I was explaining some of the stuff I heard from the book and did mention it was a book about BPD.

So, just now I get a phone call from my wife on my way to my night shift and she confronts me about my daughter saying I told her that her mom has BPD and not to worry too much when she flips out on her because it’s because she has a personality disorder. She went off on me and threatened to move out. I apologized and told her I obviously over shared and it wouldn’t happen again.

Not sure where to go from here. I know it’s never a good idea to confront them on their behavior and relate it to BPD/NPD and this is about as close to that as it can get. Even worse I guess since it came from my daughter instead of me. Any advice or relatable experiences are appreciated.

These dogs are such cuddle bugs

I’ve had pugs, labs, frenchies, but these OEBs just want pets and pats and to be pretty much on top of you all the time. Anyone else have this same experience?
