If Shirou Emiay were to obtain a Zanpakuto, what do you think its Sealed form, Shikai, Bankai, and Zanpakuto Spirit would be like?

I mean, Shirou is all about swords, and Zanpakuto are some of the most famous swords in anime/manga.

I know some may prefer asking if he could Trace a Zanpakuto and what would happen then, but I want to think of something more personal.

How he obtains this Zanpakuto.....ummm.....uh........don't worry about it.

Coming up with a Shikai/Bankai for Shirou is hard because, well,

  1. Zanpakutos and their Shikai and Bankai are already Personality Powers, and you could argue Unlimited Blade Works and Shirou's Tracing/Projection are already powers that fit his personality. So coming up with a NEW Power based on Shirou's power may be hard.
  2. When he can basically copy almost any sword/weapon he comes across, how do you come up with something unique for a sword that represents SHIROU himself/specifically?

I did have SOME crazy ideas, but not exactly for a Shikai/Bankai

First off, there is this tidbit

>According to Q&A #277 by Tite Kubo on his fansite "Klub Outside", all Zanpakutō consist of two separate parts, the blade and the scabbard; Sayafushi and Zangetsu are the only two Zanpakutō without a scabbard

So, I imagine that Shirou's Zanpakuto's Scabbard would take some design cues from Avalon. Just in appearance, mind you. I mean, considering that it is a Sheathe/Scabbard that is so important to Shirou as kind of the origin of his...well, Origin of Sword, I feel like it manifesting as part of his Zanpakuto would be fitting.

My other idea was sort of a way for UBW to mix with the Zanpakuto, not really as a Shikai or Bankai. I had the idea where it is just the handle and scabbard, usually with no metal blade, but the scabbard is actually connected to Shirou's UBW, and he summons the blade from the scabbard, plugs it into the handle, and then quickdraws it. Whenever he re-sheathes the sword, he can switch out the blade for one with a new power from another blade within UBW. It's like the usual logic of Iai: you keep it sheathed so the opponent can't guess the length of the blade, but this time, it's about the sword's power.

I hope this logic makes sense, but I am not too sure about this one because, again, how would it relate to Shikai and Bankai?

One part of mastering a Zanpakuto is to communicate with the Zanpakuto Spirit within one's inner world tied to their soul. Well, Shirou already has one of those: his Reality Marble Unlimited Blade Works.

As for his Zanpakutyo spirit, I imagined it being a Saberface, considering how Avalon is an artifact tied to Artoria/Saber and Avalon kind of influenced his soul a lot due to the whole Sword Element/Origin that it did. And an idea I had was that, if UBW is referred to as a "steel manufacturing factory", then if Shirou is the owner of the Factory, then this Zanpaktou spirit would be the Manager of the Factory.

None of these ideas pertain to the Sealed form, Shikai, or Bankai; they are just random stuff I was coming up with.

So, what are some ideas that you guys have imagined for a Zanpakuto for Shirou?

And please do not just give him his canonical abilities, but translated into Bleach powers. I want actual new stuff.

What do you think of these ideas for new Servants?

I have had a lot of Servant concepts in my head, and I am curious about people's thoughts:

  1. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky \[Archer\], Russian composer of the 1812 Overture, meant to celebrate Russia's defeat of Napoleon. So, conceptual advantage there. Archer because I find it more creative than shoving him in Caster, and also all the cannons used in the 1812 Overture.

  2. A trio: Jiraiya \[Rider\], Tsunade \[Caster\], and Orochimaru \[Assassin\] from Katakiuchi Kidan Jiraiya Monogatari (報仇奇談自来也説話, The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya), not Naruto (although some references to the manga are inevitable due to its popularity). I chose those classes because in the story, Frog, Slug, and Snake magic all have a rock-paper-scissors effect on one another, and this way the class advantages mimic that.

  3. Lycaon \[Berserker\], just to get us a werewolf in here, so why not the guy who is almost one of the oldest examples of the trope.

  4. Mansa Musa \[Rider\]: He could command Gold Dust in his battle animations, as his 80 Camels were said to have carried between 23–136 kg (50–300 lb) of the stuff, and he'd fight with it like the Fourth Kazekage from Naruto. And I remember hearing there was some way to connect his wealth to an African Dragon called a Bida, so you can do a bit of classic Dragon Horde stuff with him too.

  5. Saint Nicholas/Santa Claus \[Rider\] The historical Saint Nicholas as a base, but attach all the Santa lore on top of it in an Innocent Monster kind of way. First Ascension is Saint Nicholas himself, more historically accurate. Second Ascension is him as Santa Claus, and the 3rd Ascension brings in Odin/the Yule Lord. In the 1st and 2nd ascensions, his animations would have all the reindeer pulling the Sleigh, but in the 3rd ascension it'd be Sleipnir with a red glowing nose.

  6. Yasuke \[Saber\] The Black Samurai. A bit nervous about this one because FGO doesn't have the best track record with dark-skinned mytho-historical figures, but MAYBE he'll be treated well as someone who could show up in a GUDAGUDA event as someone connected to Nobunaga. And while some may say that him being a Samurai wasn't accurate, this is Fate; they cheese history a lot.

  7. Penelope \[Archer\], wife of Odysseus. Being a Spartan princess and a Naiad should make her strong (as being half human usually means something in Fate), and she would wield the Bow from the challenge at the end of the Odyssey. It has a connection to Apollo, so shooting laser arrows seems fitting, and considering its legend is "shooting through 12 axes," maybe it can have a weapon-breaking effect.

  8. Hattori Hanzo \[Assassin\], leader of the Iga Ninja Clan. From what I have heard (please correct me if I am wrong here), Hattori was the family name, while Hanzo was the name given to the clan's leader, meaning this would be more of a Phantom Spirit made up of all the Iga Clan heads, with the one at the helm being Oni no Hanzō (鬼の半蔵, Demon Hanzō)

  9. Santa Muerte -> Mictēcacihuātl. Starting as the Mexican folk saint, her final ascension reveals her to actually be the Aztec goddess of the Dead that survived into the modern day under a new form.

  10. Sir Kay. I mean, come on, it's the big brother/Onii-Chan of the face of the franchise. They already have part of a design and personality from the El-Melloi Novels with Add, and think of the interaction potential and fanart to get the community involved. Imagine him wanting to kill Shirou for banging Artoria, or Gilgamesh for trying to assault her. Imagine him commenting on Lartoria actually having boobs now and her threatening to skewer him with Rhongomyniad.

  11. Lief Erikson \[Rider\], A Norse Explorer and the one who ACTUALLY discovered the Americas. He proceeds to piledrive Columbus. Also, SpongeBob memes ("HINGA DINGA DURGIN")

Which of these ideas sounds the most appealing/interesting that you'd wish would happen in FGO?

What are some mythical/mythological/magical elements you could imagine adding to MHA in an AU that includes/adds on those elements?

Sometimes I like to imagine what MHA would be like if it had a more standard Superhero Setting with all the kitchen sink stuff that entails.

That includes magical stuff or tapping into Mythology.

Main superhero comics do tend to lean towards a specific corner; Marvel comics has Norse mythology as the big thing, with Thor as one of its main heroes, and DC has Greek mythology as its main thing, with Wonder Woman as one of its big characters, along with a little bit of Aquaman. Not to say that these mythologies are the ONLY ones that occur in these superhero comics (Greek Mythology is still there in Marvel, for example), but they do tend to specialize/focus.

So for MHA, what could we do?

We could go Arthurian, considering how much Japan likes that fantasy European aesthetic, and maybe lean into the Fantasy AU ED that people love.

If we got Shinto/Japanese mythology, I had the idea of dealing with Inari who, from what I have read, does have connections to finance, business, and industry, and I feel like tweaking that to make it fit into MHA's themes of a corporatized/commercialized hero society would fit (especially if people want to focus more on that in an AU), something similar to Dario Agger/Minotaur from Marvel comics.

If we want to go more broadly, then obviously I think it would be cool to compare the mythological heroes to modern superheroes. We all know that mythic heroes are more about grand feats than being actual good people, and that could be compared to how some heroes are all about flash and fame rather than true heroics.

What do you think would be an interesting fantasy/mythology theme for the characters in MHA to deal with?

Alternate Ending Idea: Rewind Tomura

Not really meant to be a "fix" or a "better" idea, more so just an alternate idea.

So after Izuku is kicked out of Tomura's Vestige World by the AFO vestige and loses his arms, Aizawa shows up with Eri's horn to restore his arms.

But I had another idea:

What if Izuku keeps him from healing both his arms and only heals one arm, and wants to use the remainder of the horn to do something else?

When he delivers the final blow to Final Shig-for-One, instead, he drives the horn into him, and the Rewind effect does 3 things:

A. It undoes Garaki's surgery on Tomura that made him into an evolving, Prime All Might-level, regenerating finger monster.

B. It rewinds away the All for One Quirk, thus eliminating the All for One Vestige.

C. It restores Tenko/Tomura's original Accelerator Ring Quirk, although severely weakened due to not being amped by the other AFO Quirks.

This eliminates Tomura's power and allows him to be safely contained and go to jail to face justice for his crimes and MAYBE get help if possible, while also keeping his mind and memories unchanged so it isn't like there is some Amnesia excuse.

We know Eri's power can work on Quirks specifically without it being made into the Quirk-Destroying Drugs, because that is how she restored Mirio's Quirk.

And some might say, "How is half a charge of Eri's horn gonna undo both Shigaraki's surgery AND turn his Quirk back to normal when all it could do is restore Izuku's arm(s)?"

Umm.....errr.....screw you, Plot/Themes and Such.

Again, not trying to make a "fix" or a "better" idea, just an alternate idea.

I was imagining what it may be like iof Dr. Garaki was a more central villain instead of All for One

I was trying to imagine what a plot without All for One would be like, since people wish MHA focused more on worldbuilding than Shonen escalation spectacle. Like, imagine if All Might DID permanently defeat All for One 5 years before the beginning of MHA's story?

Then I tried to imagine how Shigaraki would be handled. I mean, w/o All for One, you lose the whole "successor of the previous generation" thing he shares with Izuku, unless he was still raised by All for One since childhood up to those 5 years prior.

After that, I imagined him just being a homeless criminal on the streets and maybe meeting the other LOV members more naturally rather than them finding him via Stain's video. All these outcasts banding together to strike back at the society that failed them.

But then I realized they would all just be a bunch of bums without the real one carrying most of the threat: Dr. Kyudai Garaki/Dr. Ujiko

It was him who made the Nomu, including Kurogiri and his Warp Gate Quirk. That is kind of needed for two arcs at bare minimum:

First, needed for the USJ. The USJ invasion was needed to be the first big fight against villains to hook readers. It had to happen on U.A. grounds so the students would be allowed to fight and use their Quirks. So the LOV had to get into U.A. How? By Kurogiri's Warp Gate.

Second, the Vs Hero Killer Arc. Shigaraki had to summon a bunch of Nomu to Hosu City to rampage and distract the Pro Heroes on the scene so Izuku, Tenya, and Shoto could fight Stain without any Pros getting in the way because of "the law".

Also, the High-End Nomu Hood fought Endeavor, following him officially being declared the new No. 1 Hero at the Hero Billboard Chart JP, and allowed Endeavor to prove himself as a new No. 1.

We also have the caveat that Garaki/Ujiko is needed to revive Touya/Dabi after he burns himself up as a child and "dies", according to the Todorokis. Without outside intervention, that kid just dies on that mountain.

And then I got to wondering,

What if Dr. Garaki was a main villain in an A.U.?

I mean, think about it:

  1. A mad scientist as a main villain/personal antagonist in a Superhero story. That's pretty standard. His knowledge of Quirks, being able to make Nomu or even COPIES of Quirks, shows what he could do to the setting.
  2. If we want to equate Quirks/Quirk Factors with something like the X-Gene from Marvel, then he'd invoke a similar role to Mr. Sinister.
  3. Officially, in-universe, he is declared Quirkless and yet was able to become a respectable doctor. With no one knowing about his Quirk that gave him a longer lifespan. He could just be a Quirkless old man, which leads to.
  4. Having a personal connection with Izuku, not only being a fellow Quirkless person who knows a lot about Quirks (Izuku with his Hero Notes and Garaki with his Mad Scientist Quirk Research), BUT he was also the Doctor that Izuku saw when he was 4 that declared him Quirkless and crushed his dreams, with no malice indicated, just medical fact (Garaki is able to keep himself professional during his day job)
  5. Shigaraki can still be a personal foe to Izuku alongside Garaki. I mean, Horikoshi is a fan of Spider-Man, and many people debate who his main nemesis is: Doctor Octopus or Green Goblin. So Izuku having two personal foes in the form of Shigaraki and Dr. Garaki/Ujiko would be another homage to the web-slinger

What do you hope to see in Geats vs Nero?

Geats vs Nero is still WAYS off, considering the writers still need to research Kamen Rider and Fate, two monster franchises, but it is still fun to guess what we may see.

I have some ideas.

But first, I’ll go into what I think WON’T be in the fight animation.

First, a Mashup theme between Geats and Nero’s themes.

Geats’ Theme: https://youtu.be/QoHrfKZ5jno

Nero’s Theme: https://youtu.be/Pk-abY4ek-U

Not only do I not know how they’d mash up the more dramatic tone of Nero’s theme with the high-energy brass of Geats’ theme, but I don’t think they’d mix the leitmotifs/themes for them. Yeah, they did something with Cell vs Metal, but those are MUCH more iconic franchises for them, with Cell’s theme and the Crush 40 guitar.

Second, and I really hate this. I doubt they'll have Geats’ Desire Driver callouts.

For example, for his classic MagnumBoost form:

(set Magnum Raise Buckle) "SET." (set Boost Raise Buckle) "SET." “ Henshin” (Geats spins revolver barrel and pulls trigger, then revs up the boost buckle) "DUAL ON." (epic orchestral jingle starts) "Get ready for Boost and Magnum! READY? FIGHT!"

Death Battle doesn’t seem to do “Calling your Attacks” that much, as the music and the fight audio seem to take priority. I mean, they didn't have Ash or Yugi calling out their moves and cards, they didn’t have Genos say “Machine Gun Blows” or “Incinerate”. And these Raise Buckle lines can be a bit long and take up time in the episode. I mean, we usually only get 3-4 minutes.

MAYBE we can at least get it for the opening, because using the “FIGHT” from the Raise Buckle to begin the battle would allow us to use the “FIGHT!” in DB again.

Third, I don't think we’re getting many Raise Buckle forms. Yeah, they show Geats’ versatility, but they would need to make ALL those models from scratch, and they don’t have the budget for that. Plus, it would waste so much time spending with those minor side forms over Geats’ more signature/personal forms. I’d rather we get to see him actually fight in those higher forms and not just do ONE thing.

Fourth, on Nero’s side, I don’t think we’re getting Caster Swimsuit Nero or Saber Venus.

Saber Venus because that literally requires someone else’s Noble Phantasm: Altera’s Photon Ray, which Nero doesn’t have on hand.

(But hey, that means she can have it if they ever bring in Hakuno into Death Battle for an army fight, so Nero will have something new there.)

For Caster Swimsuit Nero, for one, I don’t think EXTRA Nero, whom I imagine they are focusing on for the fight, has the ability to swap classes. Yes, she uses Imperial Privilege to be summoned as a Saber, but I don’t think that means she can just class change via Moon Cell’s summoning system. That seems to be a Chaldea thing.

Bit of a bummer because there is a cool reference she could be used for

Caster Summer Nero has these little tube drones in one of her attacks

and we have this iconic scene of Geats dodging Gazer's laser drones

But outside of that, here is what I imagine could be in the fight:

First, Location.

Obviously, the Moon Cell. It has so many varied environments to use, especially in EXTELLA, with Roman Areas for Nero and Japanese areas (from Tamamo) for Geats

https://preview.redd.it/9w51ufji6zdh1.png?width=2240&format=png&auto=webp&s=f3a72a4d19ade44d54e329af1d11132f42080f49

Second, For form progression, I imagine it goes like this:

Round 1: MagnumBoost Geats vs base Saber Nero, maybe with a creative use of Revolve On partway through

https://preview.redd.it/mp8rrqen6zdh1.png?width=407&format=png&auto=webp&s=428cfd7f2edc6eeb96ea538c96731c30c43b787a

Round 2: LaserBoost Geats vs Moon Crux Nero

https://preview.redd.it/3e4218vq6zdh1.png?width=351&format=png&auto=webp&s=d8759eab0fa2bbac032d28e543e73a4dfeca71fd

https://preview.redd.it/9vnnm9vq6zdh1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=993197c93688ec95a05388ab3bbaa20bcf64bc46

Round 3: GeatsIX vs Mythological Mystic Code of the Emperor

https://preview.redd.it/sdby6k6u6zdh1.png?width=461&format=png&auto=webp&s=37bf830b050153c43ba2e09945d2b04888f22515

https://preview.redd.it/mbx5pj6u6zdh1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0a57741886fdc0484131466f396329db42f1e5e

Now you may be wondering, Why Moon Crux vs Mythological Mystic Code? Didn’t Moon Crux come AFTER MMC in Extella?

Well, two reasons:

  1. Combat potential. Both LaserBoost and MoonCrux seem to have more hand-to-hand combat styles (see here), while GeatsIX and MMC both have swords, so we can actually have blade-to-blade combat. All the fire and punching from both LaserBoost and Moon Crux would fit quite well, like Geats using telekenisis/gravity power to chuck rocks at Nero to punch.

There is a little bit of combat reference they could do for base Geats vs Nero, from Nero’s fight with Robin Hood

https://i.redd.it/hp58n63x6zdh1.gif

Just imagine this, but with Geats’ Revolver replacing Archer’s crossbow

  1. It makes a little sense when you consider the context behind the forms. I imagine that a lot of Nero’s high-end scaling will come from fighting BB, who took over the Moon Cell. Moon Crux uses the power of the Moon Cell; Mythological Mystic Code defeated someone using the power of the Moon Cell. So the escalation makes sense. At least in my opinion.

I am a bit worried that DB won’t see it that way, though.

And in case you haven't noticed, I didn’t bring up Geats Oneness. I mean, I don’t see what animation potential it could bring, plus, like I said, making new models is expensive. Plus, if we aren't giving Nero Summer Caster or Venus, he can lose this, too; it's only fair.

When Geats goes into GeatsIX, I wanted to imagine the fox tails for the form pooping out of the ground around Nero’s Aestus Domus Aurea, sort of referencing the heads of her Beast form from its Noble Phantasm.

https://i.redd.it/y9jrz8n77zdh1.gif

https://i.redd.it/arjpcin77zdh1.gif

https://i.redd.it/lyt88in77zdh1.gif

And when the tails pop on, it would destroy the NP similar to how it broke the Grand End (3rd gif).

Something else I have thought of requires some context.

In this scene here, we see Geats fighting Zitt/Kamen Rider Regad. Regad accelerates and outspeeds Geats until he uses his God of Genesis powers (indicated by the bell) and then isn’t being outsped. We do know that the God of Genesis can grant powers (a wish from the previous one gave Buffa Anti-Kamen Rider powers).

There are two things from this:

  1. We know MMC Nero is Lightspeed, likely many times, as I think Kiara threw her to the other side of the Galaxy, and she came back almost immediately. Obvious Light Speed scaling. If Geats can just WISH himself to be faster with his own God of Genesis powers, this would be the perfect way to show it.
  2. My friend, who is a LOT more knowledgeable about Kamen Rider than I am (as in he actually watched the series, we both finished watching Kamen Rider Geats a couple of months ago), although his knowledge isn’t perfect, has told me that Geats could essentially wish himself new abilities based on this little feat here. I mean, it SORT of makes sense, IDK how much it would hold up under scrutiny. BUT, if it DOES hold up, then I think it would be funny to have Geats’ God of Genesis wish powers clashing with Nero’s Imperial Privilege. It’d be like two people going “Well, I have THIS power”, “Oh yeah? Well, I have THIS power”, like two kids on the playground making their OCs, which I just think would be funny. I highly doubt it’d happen, but still funny.

But yeah, these are some of my ideas for Geats vs Nero.

What are some things you hope to see, while keeping things realistic?

If the series was able to go on for longer (for all 3 years of U.A., like fans say they wanted) and not jump right into the war, what kinds of costume upgrades would you imagine Deku getting?

As the series went on, Deku got new costume upgrades as he improved his use of his Quirk, and they weren't just cosmetic; they had function.

He started with Costume Alpha, the simple suit his mom made for him, which got wrecked in the Battle Trial.

Then we got Costume Beta, which he used on the Hero Agency Internships, which just made his costume into a more practical hero suit.

Then he got Costume Gamma, which added the Arm Bracers and Iron Soles ot support his New Kick-based Shoot Style.

Then Costume Delta added the Air Force Gloves, which allowed him to use ranged attacks with Delaware Smash Air Force

Then we got the War, which would be our branching off point, but for completeness' sake:

After the PLW, we got Costume Epsilon, which mostly just added the Mid-Gauntlet (essentially a diet Full Gauntler from the first movie) and Gran Torino's cape.

After recovering at U.A. he got Costume Zeta, which didn't really add anything.

And then Costume Eta is his last Costume following the war.

SO, if we DIDN'T get the war arc right after their first year at U.A. and Horikoshi WAS an insane madman who was going to go through all 3 years, what would you imagine Costumes Epsilon onwards being?

In what ways would you have the Costume upgraded based on new combat developments for Izuki?

Maybe if you guys are cool with the extra Quirks, the Costume could have some kind of Support Item that assists/works with them.

If Shirou Emiya had/could acquire a Persona from the Persona series, what do you think it would be like?

Each of the 3 (current) modern mainline Persona games kind of has a theme.

  • Persona 3 characters, be they members of S.E.E.S./The Shadow Operatives, usually have a Greco-Roman theme. And they are used via the Evoker, as it involves accepting Mortality, fitting Persona 3's theme of Memento Mori
  • Persona 4's Personas are from Shinto-Japanese mythology, and are gained via facing your Shadow, basically a monster made of everything you deny about yourself
    • There is the special case of Labrys from Persona 5 Arena, who gained her Persona the P4 way, but it is a Greco-Roman figure of Ariadne, and she joins up with the Shadow Operatives (the grown-up P3 cast)
  • Persona 5's Personas are all based on Folkloric Tricksters and Rebels in their first forms, then in their Ultimate forms, they become Mythological Tricksters that were either cast from Heaven or went to/are associated with the Underworld. They are gained by accepting the rebel within.

So with all this in mind, what can we come up with for Shirou?

I personally take out Persona 5's method first, because while his Sword + Bow weapons fit the rest of the Phantom Thieves having a melee and ranged weapon combo, and Persona 5 does go into the topic of Justice here and there, fitting Shirou's "Hero of Justice" thing, but "Rebellion" isn't really his thing, or at least it isn't a part of his story.

But in terms of options,

My two ideas were either:

A. King Arthur, referencing his bond with Artoria and Avalon within him. It would have Light (Hama/Kou) as its main element

or

B. Muramasa, referencing Shirou being his Pseudo-Servant vessel in FGO. It would have Fire (Agi) as its main element.

But no matter which one he gets, in terms of stats, I would say he would lean more towards physical moves and high Attack/Endurance stats, like Chie in P4 and Ryuji/Skull in P5

Haven't really thought of what good Ultimate Personas would be, though.

Does anyone else feel like the Hero Agency Internships had more "purpose" in their choices than the Work-Studies?

What I mean by this is that it feels like more thought went into who went where and what they got out of their Internships than their work studies.

  • Izuku went with Gran Torino, as he was All Might's Homeroom Teacher and could help with One for All. Deku learned Full Cowl and NOT to break his bones.
  • Bakugo went to Best Jeanist b/c he was No. 3 in the ranking, and Best Jeanist wanted to try and fix Bakugo's attitude.
  • Ochaco went to Gunhead to work on her combat ability after Bakugo kicked her ass in the Sports Festival.
  • Ida went to Manual to go on his Stain revenge quest
  • Mineta likely went to Mt Lady for obvious reasons
  • Tsuyu likely went to Selkie due to her specialization in water
  • Uwabami chose Momo and Itsuka b/c of their looks (a shallow reason, but still A reason)
  • Jiro with Death Arms is kind of the main outlier, as she was mainly logistical support
  • Hawks chose Tokoyami for the bird theme and also for info gathering about U.A., some for the Work-Studies (although Hawks wasn't likely invented as a character until the Pro Hero arc, so putting him here feels weird)

You see, all of them have a kind of reason for who went where and what they, or the Pro Hero they were under, gained from it.

But then we look at the Work-Studies

  • Izuku has a similar reason for going to Nighteye as he did with Gran Torino; he's a former associate of All Might
  • Ochaco and Tsu went to Ryukyu........why? Because we needed the girl team with Nejire?
  • Eijiro went with Tamaki to Fatgum. Yes, Eijiro and Fatgum both have a kind of Tank/endurance-based style, but I don't know if that's the right reason.
  • We didn't really see anyone else in the first round.

It feels like more thought was put into the logic of who went where or who chose who for the Internships than the Work-Studies. I wish we had more insight into why the specific Work-Study pairings were chosen and what the students gained from them, rather than just generic "experience".

When people say they wished the Dark Hero Arc was longer, what exactly were they expecting?

I ask this because I see this take a lot, and a lot of the "ideas" I see just feel really vague and just sound like "Make it better"

Like, do they just want more aura farming Deku running around fighting villains instead of waiting for the plot to let him? Because him getting railroaded by U.A.'s curriculum is something I kind of see issue with.

Do people just want stuff like Lady Nagant copied and pasted over and over again? I mean, for one, the talk about "Hero Society good or Bad" feels really weak when A. the HPSC are all dead (they were off-screened by Gigantomachia), and B. That really isn't the main concern right now. The real issue is all the villains running around and AFO/Shig-for-One threatening the world.

Edit: Correction: A Twice Clone of Redestro killed the Head, but still, the HPSC was basically incapacitated at this point in the story.

It's like how in Naruto (an inspiration for MHA), yes, the Ninja/Shinobi system is bad, but our main characters are/should be more concerned with the actual villains ready to destroy the world (The Akatsuki/Paranormal Liberation Front) before they go on to do societal changes (which are nromally off-screen/in a timeskip epligoue b/c this is a Shonen Jump story and they are gonna focus more on an action

How would the whole "Shinigami power transfer thing" work on someone other than Ichigo?

I am not too well-versed in Bleach lore, so please go easy on me

In the first chapters of Bleach, Rukia transfers her power to Ichigo, thus turning him into a substitute Shinigami.

From what I have heard, this should be temporary.

But, because Ichigo was a crazy hybrid being with vast potential, he absorbed most of Rukia's power, leaving her weakened for the first chunk of the story.

I am wondering what this process would be like if it happened to someone other than Ichigo. Still with high spiritual potential, as I know that is a requirement, but without his crazy heritage.

Would it just be temporary, and the Shinigami that performs the transfer would not be as drained as Rukia was?

What about the Zanpakuto? What would be the nature of the Zanpakuto be? Would they technically be wielding a copy of the Shinigami's Zanpakuto, or get a unique one that won't go anywhere, because obviously, a temporary power-up like this would not be enough time to develop an Asauchi into a full Zanpakuto? Not everyone has Ichigo's crazy growth rate, and Ichigo also has his Hollow/Quincy powers. I remember people have compared his Zanpakuto to Hollow Zanpakuto or Quincy Spirit Weapons.

I just want to understand how the process would work with someone who ISN'T as cracked as Ichigo, how it would normally play out.

New character coming to Centralfiction to be revealed at EVO 2026 this weekend, any guesses on who it is going to be?

From the remaining characters in the cast we got:

* Trinity Glassfille, seperate from Platinum sort of similar to Hazama and Terumi

* Torakaka, how would you make her different from Tao though?

* Kajun Faycott

* Linhua

* Homura Amanohokosaka, he was playable in BBADW so there could be some idea for his gameplay.

I think they said it would be someone from the games, meaning we won’t be getting Taro Sasagae, a character from both Remix Heart games and one if Jin’s friends from the military academy

Who do you think it will be?

So Medusa qualifies for Archer and Caster, what about her qualifies her for those classes and what would they be like?

https://preview.redd.it/0hvmzbb9pa9h1.png?width=715&format=png&auto=webp&s=c898aaa4c8b5d8a592f9b3197f90c7a1d6b0f3d6

As of me posting this, we have seen Medusa in four classes:

We have our classic Rider Medusa due to Bellerophon and Pegasus\

Lancer Medusa using the Harpe, both in her child Lily form and an adult alter form in the FGO anime

Avenger Medusa leans into her Gorgon side

Saber Medusa taps into her connection with Chrysaor, with Athena adding a bit in as well.

But what about the remaining classes?

I can't think of any kind of long-range weapon associated with Medusa, and Medusa isn't exactly a spellcaster herself.

I am not asking about Berserker because I am pretty sure that would just be Gorgon, but less.

I feel like these extra class qualifications were just randomly put in a long time ago w/o much thought, but IDK, I still thought it would be fun to speculate on what Archer and Caster Medusa would be like.

What are some ideas you have had for your own FGO novelizations/fanfics?

My friend and I like to talk about story ideas for FGO that are unbound by the shackles of its gacha game format, especi9ally b/c he himself is writing his own FGO novelization.

I myself have had my own ideas

There is one idea I had.

For context, I actually let time pass in my idea: the years pass, we get all the side events, and Ritsuka actually ages/grows older.

Then, once we get to 2018, the first year of the Lostbelt Saga, we have the Apocrypha collab, which introduces Sieg. In Apocrypha, he encountered Gordes Musik, who was Siegfried/Saber of Black's Master, who nearly killed Sieg but seemed to shape up near the end to take care of the Homunculi. Now, here in Chaldea, we have the alternate-timeline counterpart of Gordes' son, Goredolf, who just became the new director of Chaldea, and this is his first year dealing with Chaldea's usual brand of craziness. The idea of the two talking, and Goredolf wondering whether he is living up to his family's example by talking with someone who, in a way, fought alongside his father in a Holy Grail War, is pretty interesting to me. Sieg, remembering how Gordes improved, may also be an advocate for giving Goredolf a fair shot as Chaldea's new director.

IDK, inter-character interactions and character development are something I like to think about with all the servants in Chaldea.

What are some of your ideas you imagine in your own fanfic/novelizations of FGO?

What is a Servant that you would want introduced to FGO solely for the memes/jokes that would come with it?

My idea for such a servant would be Lief Erikson [Rider], a Norse explorer and the ACTUAL guy to discover the Americas * glares at Columbus *

Not only could you have him being pissed at Columbus for taking credit for his achievement, but also you KNOW that some people are gonna be spamming the Spongebob quote:

What are everyone's opinions on the "Fate-isms" that the Fate series does for certain folkloric/mytho-historical figures?

Like, when they add or change the background of a mytho-historical figure to add in something from the Nasuverse.

I mean, you got Raiko being mixed with Ushi Gozen, Murasaki Shikibu also knowing Onmyodo, Minamoto no Tametomo being a robot made from Greek God Space Robot parts, Anastasia knowing some magecraft and having Viy as a familiar, and some others as simple "Let's make them more magical/powerful", especially as FGO servants.

Then you got stuff like making Artemis, the virgin huntress goddess, actually in love with Orion. Iskandar/Alexander the Great being this huge muscle dude instead of a twink. Medusa and her sisters are goddesses of beauty and taking away the Poseidon sexual assault thing.

I understand some of these are made for the sake of being more appealing to the Japanese target audience, especially the Gacha Waifu lovers once we get into FGO, but I am just wondering what kind of balance people like in the servants?

Do people want a Fate servant's description/bio to basically be the wikipedia/IRL description word for word? I mean, this is the Nasuverse, with its urban fantasy secret Moonlit world with all this magic stuff in the background. So I feel like adding a bit of pizazz wouldn't be too out of place to make them cool Servants. It's basically the trope Beethoven Was An Alien Spy, but I do feel like if we just said "This historical figure also knew magic, or fought a Dragon, or whatever " over and over, it might risk being repetitive. So you'd need to make sure to be a bit creative with each one.

A lot of Fate servants do feel like Fate OCs with like 10-20% of their DNA being from the irl folkloric/historical figure. So I was just wondering what people's preference was. Like, what Servant do you think handles the ratio between Nasuverse Fateism anime bs and respecting the irl counterpart?

What would happen if Pochita/Chainsaw Devil were to eat a human instead of a Devil?

Maybe this was asked ages ago, but I am still curious.

So, the Chainsaw Devil eats a Devil, and that Devil is erased from existence. And since Devils are tied to the concepts that birthed them, that means that concept is erased, with reality adjusting itself to the lack of the thing that was erased.

But what if the Chainsaw Devil erased a person? A human? Would they also be erased?

If so, what could happen?

Yeah a human isn't gonna have the same result as erasing a commonly feared item or concept, but humans leave an impact on the world.

Like, even just eating a rando on the street could cause who knows what kinds of butterfly effects

If Shirou Emiya were to get a VIsion from Genshin Impact, what element would best fit him?

There is

  • Anemo (Wind)
  • Geo (Earth)
  • Electro (Electricity)
  • Dendro (Plant/Nature)
  • Hydro (Water)
  • Pyro (Fire)
  • Cryo (Ice)

I am personally torn between two options:

  1. Pyro. Because the red-orange color already fits Shirou's main color and matches his forge/sword motif. Plus, if you want to mimic FGO's Muramasa, this is a way to go.
  2. Hydro. In Genshin, Hydro is associated with Justice in Fontaine, the main region for that element, which fits Shirou's "Hero of Justice" thing, and the Water element also aligns with his association with Artoria, with the whole Lady of the Lake granting Excalibur thing. Also would act as a nice contrast.

What are some swords/weapons from other media that you think would be interesting to discuss if Shirou/EMIYA could Trace them into UBW and what he could do with them?

I like crossovers, I like characters getting stuff from other franchises to expand their arsenal, and plenty of other franchises have cool swords. So I was trying to think of other weapons and swords from other franchises that would be cool for Shirou to Trace

One idea I had was Dragonslayer from Berserk. Obviously too heavy for Shirou to physically wield himself, he isn't the mountain of muscle that Guts is (although he did wield Nine Lives Blade Works against Berserker in Heaven's Feel but who knows if he can do that level of strength w/o Archer's Arm). But, considering that one use of UBW is just levitating the blades and launching them, imagine him just launching a traced Dragonslayer at high speed.

Some weapons would not be Tracable though, as we know, modern/technological weapons are a no go, as well as ones crafted by gods or beings comparable to them, although I have seen people make arguments about this, considering >!Shirou Traces Vajra in The El-Melloi II !<novels.

So a Lightsaber may be a no-go, it may be a sword made by mortals, but the technological aspects and the kyber crystal may not allow it.

Weapons from franchises whose magic systems highly depend on the setting may also be a problem. Like in Guilty Gear, a lot of weapons are not only some kind of magitech, such as Sol Badguy's Junkyard Dog/Outrage II, so that brings up the tech limit, but the magic of Guilty Gear is all dependent on the Backyard, which is kind of like the source code of reality in the GG-verse. So this weapon's particular magic may not work outside of the GG-verse, where the Backyard isn't a thing.

Then there are the Devil Arms from Devil May Cry. Most of them are demons sealed into the form of a weapon, so IDK if Shirou/EMIYA could trace them, considering they are living beings (weapons with souls are a weird area that isn't covered in canon afaik). But then there are the brothers' swords: Rebellion+ Sparda = DSD, and Yamato. They aren't living beings, but they were made from the power of Sparda, who is a powerful Demon. Kind of skirting the realm of "beings comparable to gods," depending on how much you want to hype up Sparda's power. So it could be seen as debatable. I also don't recall if the swords are only usable by the brothers themselves, or at the very least, only able to show their true power with their true wielders.

Weapons that are cursed/rely on someone being a chosen one/worthy/part of a specific bloodline may also be a problem.

I just think this is a fun thing to discuss.

What are some cool swords/weapons from other franchises that you can think of, and do you think Shirou/EMIYA could Trace them, and if so, what could you imagine him doing with them?
