Distribution of Indigenous Nicobarese Languages of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands
L’Université de l’Alberta accusée d’effacer sa francophonie
ledevoir.comWhy didn't a Dravidian language become dominant on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands?
The islands lie on the path of ancient trade routes that were controlled by Dravidians, and there are lands even further east like Malaya that retained a Dravidian language.

Despite this, a Dravidian language never took root on the islands.

In contrast, Austroasiatic languages were able to remain as well as become dominant on Nicobar islands; while language family isolates like: Andamanese, Onganese & Sentinelese, languages remained dominant on the Andamanese islands.

How were the Austroasiatic languages able to retain a presence on the islands, while a Dravidian language was not?
How influential was Indo-Aryan Culture on Sangham Era Literature?
Brahmins only had a notable presence in South India post-Sangham era.

There were, however, Indo-Aryans that migrated to South India both prior to and during the Sangham era.

As such, how much cultural influence did the early non-Brahmin Indo-Aryans migrants have on the literature being composed during the Sangham Era?
Tamil Culture
Hi, I am currently doing research tamil culture and have a few questions:
- Do you think Tamil culture is still creating new music genres, art forms, aesthetics, or cultural movements today? If so what?
Black music genres like hip-hop, R&B, house, techno, reggae, and others were created by Black communities out of their own histories, speech patterns, rhythms, social realities, and cultural experiences.
Do you think Tamil culture is investing enough energy into creating entirely new musical forms, aesthetics, hairstyles, fashion, photography styles, and youth cultures rooted in Tamil experiences?
Sometimes I wonder if we’re too focused on adapting existing global frameworks instead of inventing new ones.
What would a truly original modern Tamil sound or aesthetic look like if it wasn’t built primarily through Western or Black musical structures?
2.What are your thoughts on this^?
Edit: I am talking about music genres, dance or art forms that doesn’t have any connection to religion or religious celebrations.
Son of Thanjai - Gameplay Reveal Trailer | Tamil Videogame
A follow-up from a previous post I made about this game.

Both in-game cinematic and game-play are used in this trailer. A warring, it is quite violent.
The reception so far has been huge considering this is a work from a first-time, small, and independent studio! It helps to be featured on the official Playstation channel!
