This is a pretty big deal. Even the republican BASE knew this guy was too crazy to be the governor. The grift is over for him (for awhile anyway), and we also have another example where a Trump endorsement wasn't enough to put someone over the edge.

This sub talks a lot about how the US has seen the death of the manual, but it seems like it's not just us that the manual is dying. In the US it has been this way awhile, but this seems to be a more recent transition in the UK.

I'd be curious to hear from people that live in Britain how many people they know that drive autos now vs how it was when they were little.

Some interesting stats from the article:

- As such, the number of new car purchases with manual gearboxes has declined by more than 60 per cent in the last two years alone.

-With 356 unique models available across all brands, it means just one in five new car options now comes with a manual transmission.

- Some 10 years ago, opting for an automatic instead of a manual gearbox typically came with a premium of around £3,000. Today, that margin has shrunk by half to between £1,000 and £1,500.

I found some code that I just can't get to work.

I am trying to ban a specific sub from crossposting. I used this code and I put it in a sub I moderate. Then I put in an example sub (I am using BMWM3 as a test since I also moderate that one, and it's not working).

I did the rod bearings and VANOs on my 06 Z4 M. I am coming up on 1200 miles so I am going to have the oil changed.

Do people just do the black stone standard one or is there any other ones I should get? Black stone lists a bunch on the website

Hello, I have the weirdest thing I can't explain. I have two N64 games I have ever bought for my Wii. Major's Mask and Paper Mario. I am doing a play through of Paper Mario and the Z button won't work.

I click it in and nothing happens, which is turning into an issue as I need to spin in the flowers.

If I play Major's Mask, the Z button does the same thing as yellow down would do. If I put my Ocarina disc in the Wii, same result. Here's the really crazy part, if I put in Smash Brothers Melee, and play with Link the Z button puts out the hook shot, as it's supposed to do.

I have tried with 3 different controllers. Same results. Now I accidentally did the demo with Twink in the start and I could have sworn he makes you push the Z button to switch characters, but I am not sure.

So my question is, has anyone run into this? Is it a weird setting or some type of weird glitch? I feel like I am taking crazy pills.

HB 7989 became law yesterday without the governors signature. According to the bill this bill becomes law as soon as it's passed.

Here is exactly what the bill says:

(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of this subsection, any motor vehicle that, as manufactured and delivered for sale, is not equipped with a manufacturer-provided front registration plate bracket, mounting point, or other manufacturer-provided means or location intended for the attachment and display of a front registration plate, shall not be required to display a front registration plate, and shall be in compliance with this section if:

(i) One registration plate issued in accordance with § 31-3-10 is properly attached to the rear of the vehicle; and

(ii) The second registration plate issued in accordance with § 31-3-10 is carried within the vehicle and displayed by the driver upon demand of a duly sworn law enforcement officer.

So I think anyone that's not deep in the MAGA cult can pretty much admit this is a huge failure. In fact maybe the biggest foreign policy mistake in modern history. I think this will be talked about for decades how badly it was screwed up.

The problem? The typically American voter has the memory of a goldfish. 4 months from now we are going to be on to a totally new topic. Go back to January, did you think we would be talking about an Iran war? I think it's fair to see nobody knows what's going to be the topic at the end of October.

Gas is down $0.55 from its peak. I just saw $3.49 in North Carolina, which isn't great, but also not awful. If this trend continues (and I realize that's an if), I don't see how this isn't a net gain for republicans. I think the question is how much of a gain? If gas is cheap in October, your average voter I fear is going to forget all about the failure of the war.

It basically said to connect it though an app called "Smart Life – Smart Home Skill" and I didn't find that app, but I found a similar app that's a purple one and connected it through that.

Still no fix. It tells me that it can't find any devices.

Anyone else have this issue? Do I need to delete all the devices? Do I need to unlink treat life and just link the purple icon? I have tried it both ways with no luck so far.

Edit: I do notice that despite me logging in on the Alexa app on the Treatlife app it says it's not linked. No idea how to fix that

I realize he won, but it's not the victory he seems to be claiming. He's got roughly 57% of the vote as an incumbent that also has the endorsement of Donald Trump. That's actually pretty low when you consider those two things.

In 2020 he won by 10 points, do I think we can close that gap? It's going to be incredibly difficult, but I do think there's a lot of room to shrink it for future elections. The suburbs of Charlotte are making South Carolina bluer (I know two people that just moved to SC outside of Charlotte).

The democratic candidate just needs to destroy him over the war. And I want her to run ads saying she's "America First" and explain why her policies are really America First and how his policies are just war everyday.

I think they need to give it a good try, I realize it's a huge stretch, but I think a lot of people, republicans included, don't like Lindsey
