Best Used Phone Marketplace?

Located in US

As the title states - just paid off all our iphones and I’m not looking to carrier finance for a while.

Sick of my iPhone 17 pro. I hate the keyboard and I literally don’t use any pro features. I use my phone to text, call, watch youtube, browse the web, and document notes. Don’t take photos.

Looking at selling my iPhone 17 pro and picking up an iPhone Air or Google pixel 9/10

I’ve only used Facebook marketplace in the past, but it’s gotten so bad IMHO and everyone’s trying to “come up” on selling phones and it’s hard to trust people these days…

Where does one go for good, fair prices on used/refurbished phones without dealing with shady Facebook ppl?

Liberty 5 Pro Max vs. Galaxy Pro 4 vs. Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 vs. Status Pro X vs. Technics AZ100

I have both iPhone and Samsung phones and use both daily (Samsung for work, iPhone for family/personal)

Buds will be used as daily driver for both phones - work calls, gym, around the house, etc.

All of these are the same price. Which ones are better overall in terms of:

- Comfort
- Ease of Use (touch gestures)
- Call Quality
- Audio Quality

AirPods Pro 3 were just returned because I felt the comfort wasn’t great after an hour of wear time my ears would be sore and I was constantly adjusting them and fiddling around with the fit (taking them out and putting them back in).

Best Earbuds that have Mute?

I was sampling over ear headphones for a few months and couldn’t find anything that actually fit comfortably for longer periods.

I ended up grabbing the AirPod Pro 3’s as a “screw it” option and they’re not horrible, but it left me wondering what’s out there that could be a better value.

I looked into the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro / Pro Max, as well as the Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 as my top two picks - only to find out neither of them support a “mute” function during calls. Neither does the Status Pro X, and other mid tier to high end earbuds…

Apple has had this feature on their buds for years and I use it a ton during meetings while on the go, or calls with my employees while juggling other things while other people are with me.

I use my earbuds for everything from work, to working out, to cleaning my house so I need them to be:
- versatile
- comfortable (subjective, I know)
- have great audio quality with good stock tuning
- amazing call quality (the reason I wanted huawei pro 5 or liberty 5 pro max)
- just be an all rounder

I know the AZ100 by Technics support a mute function, but I worry the shape might be uncomfortable and the gestures being separated by (L) and (R) earbud are odd to me, I don’t want to remember what side has specific features for touch…

Any recommendations?

Testing…1, 2, 3… Testing, Testing

I’ve been trying to find a pair of headphones to wear to the gym for well over a month straight at this point.

Not even joking.

I’m coming from some abused, crusty, worn out AirPod Pro 2’s that I used for work, and….well I used them for everything for two years straight. They’ve served me well I guess, but they’re lackluster and my inner ears hurt after long wear times….

This all started when I bought my wife a pair of Bose QC headphones from Costco during a recent sale. I was BLOWN away by the soundstage and quality. I was going to buy myself a pair, but the sale ended and I didn’t think the regular MSRP was worth it.

So, I started researching, and after about 2 days, I realized I can’t buy headphones based off online reviews and opinions since everyone has different tastes on what sounds “good” and what doesn’t.

So I started buying.

I’ve tried:

- Bose QC
- Bose QC Ultra
- Sony XM4
- Sony XM5
- Sony CH720N
- Sony ULT
- Sennheiser Momentum 4
- Sennheiser Accentum Plus
- Nothing Headphone (a)
- Nothing Headphone (1)
- Beats Studio Pro (ASS)
- Soundcore Space 2
- Edifier W820NB
- CFM by Nothing
- JLab JBuds Lux
- Apple AirPod Pro 3’s

Today I received:

- Skullcandy Aviator 900 ANC
- Skullcandy Crusher 540 Active
- Skullcandy Hesh 540

The reason I didn’t try Skullcandy first is because everything I read said the clamping force was way tight, and the earcups were super small. Part of the reason I returned most of the previous headphones was due to them being really uncomfortable.

The Sonys driver and foam rubbed my right ear, the Sennheiser clamping force gave me splitting headaches after 30 mins from pressure, and the Bose are so light they slide around when I sweat a lot after cardio sessions.

I have to say, I’m so impressed with these Skullcandy models!

I’ve EQ’d them all (using spotify or my Android with Wavelet App to EQ and slightly tune the Crusher 540 Actives) and Im blown away at the sound quality!

Not only that, but these are really comfortable!

I’d say right now after a solid few hours going back to
back on all 3 pairs, I’d rank them as follows;

1) Hesh 540 - Insane sound quality, feather light, super plush ear cups that aren’t too tight but fit snug. The shape just feels nice. They’re minimal and I love that. I absolutely love the joystick control.

2) Crusher 540 Active - Not the most comfortable and they’re a bit heavy and slide around when I lay down on a bench or move my head fast, but the bass is fun. It’s almost comical with the bass slider all the way up, but in a good way. It literally feels like I’m
Standing in front of the speakers at a concert and my ears and head are vibrating. My wife and kids got some grins out of them as well… Sound is leaps better than both the Aviator and Hesh right out of the box. I don’t feel the need to EQ these much honestly which is impressive.

3) Aviator 900 ANC - I really thought these would be my #1 pick tbh… I don’t hate them at all, but compared to the Hesh and Crusher, they are just too heavy on the Mids and Highs. I am having a hard time EQ’ing them without muddling the vocals too much. The Bass is also very weak (which I normally prefer) to the point where I have the 60Hz cranked all the way up and it’s still just not giving me that nice crisp “thump” ok the low end. I really like the controls on these, similar to the Hesh, but I don’t have use for most of them tbh… I don’t need to cycle preset EQ and ANC modes, like, ever… so while they’re slick and fun to play with, just not useful for me. I do LOVE the earcups on these the most though. The perforated leather inside the cup is chefs kiss.

I have a pair of Sonos Ace coming tomorrow that will be competing with the Hesh and Crusher as probably my final showdown on what I end up keeping.

Anyone have any other Skullcandy models to shout out as a recommendation to try based off my feedback on these 3 models??? I’m happy to give ‘em a shot if there’s enough love behind the rec!

Gym Headphone Poll - (I hate everything I’ve tried)

Taking my XM5s back to Costco after less than a week the right slider/adjuster on the headband is super loose and slides around.

CH720n has been the sweet spot after EQ’ing them. They’re light, sound great to me, and get the job done - problem is they don’t fold and now for some reason my ears are starting to get sore and feel suffocated after wearing for over an hour.

Deciding between these for dedicated gym headphones.

Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog - $340

I found a gentlemen selling a new in box Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog on Facebook marketplace. I verified nothing has been used.

He wants $340 for it. Now, I know the warranty will be null, but for roughly 50% off MSRP is this worth my time?

I currently have a Kenmore BC4039 (600 Series) and I love it. The motorized pet brush is amazing on our couches as we have a golden that sheds non stop and loves to rub all over the couch cushions. The air powered pet tools bog down and take lots of passes to get the stubborn hair up, but with the motorized tool, it’s like 2 passes and all gone.

Just wondering if the Miele is worth upgrading over the Kenny? TYIA

Need Expert Advice…

Context - been using AirPod pros (yes the first gen oldest model) for a long time for work and gym. Getting tired of my inner ear aching after hours of wear. Decided to check out some OTE headphones and have been researching.

Got sick of reading and decided to start trying since I know it can be extremely subjective.

Budget is max $400, preferably under $300 tho.

Tried ;

- Sony xm5
- Sennheiser M4
- Bose QC
- Nothing (a)
- JLabs JBuds Lux

Waiting on;

- CMF by Nothing
- Edifier W820NB
- Soundcore Q45
- Soundcore Space One Pro
- Soundcore Space 2
- Bose QC Ultra

My top right now are:
Sony xm5
Sennheiser M4
Bose QC

The Sennheiser hurts my head though. 30 mins and I have a headache from the clamping pressure.Im guessing I can stretch the band out, no?

Sonys are perfect, but move around at the gym bc they’re so light. I’m also worried about the xm5 breaking. But they sound great and I love the fit more than anything else. Love the ear cups and the depth. Not a fan of the overly deep cups tbh…

Bose are like, not amazing, sound meh, but just seem to be like Goldilocks. A little of everything good, but nothing great.

Anyone have any recs for me to look at based off where im at on this journey? Lol

Need Help Finding These…

I’ve had these for a few years and they’re my all time favorite gym and casual athleasure shoes for summer.

What are they and are they still sold?

If not, can I get recs for similar? I love the thin tongue and mesh on the shoe for lightweight breathable air flow (summers where I am are 115 degree ++)

Calling All S8 MaxV Ultra Owners: Need Your Help!

I’m curious how far Roborock has updated the app UI for the S8 MaxV Ultra.

I currently run the Saros 20 (Sonic) and I notice coming from the Saros 10R it has some UI settings and features that the 10R didn’t have, such as;

- the way the carpet settings menu is laid out looks entirely different

- a handful of other settings menus are laid out differently and have more settings

- “deep” cleaning is now included for all tasks (mop, vacuum, vacuum then mop, vacuum and mop, etc) whereas it was only included for mop task on 10R

Is anyone willing to share screenshots of their S8 MaxV Ultra UI to compare?

I’m curious how far Roborock is updating their older software since the S8 is now a few years old…

Please make sure if you share that your app version and robot firmware version are updated to the latest (for the app you have to check the App Store and make sure it’s “up to date”, for robot firmware version it’s found in your settings under “firmware updates”)

3 Day Zero Sodium Flush?

Never competed, but been lifting for 12 years. I just decided to start my first ever cut. I’m 13% body fat and have dropped 5lbs over 8 days and leaned down to about 11% and now am starting to see visible abs.

My meal coach is having me do a 3 day zero sodium “flush” to pull water out of subcutaneous tissue. Water intake is 1.5-2 gals a day during this entire cut.

I know it’s drastic but I wanted a challenge that emulated a 2 week run up to a show… my choice.

I plan to reverse taper out of this to a steady maintenance and continue to lean out for a few months until I hit my ultimate goal of sub 10% body fat.

My question is - i’m getting a lot of conflicting information stating that zero sodium flushes are complete bullshit and unnecessary. My 12 day goal to my coach was to have visible abs without flexing. I’m
Basically there but now Im scared to have a cheat meal because he says I’ll bloat up and it will take another 48-72 hours of zero sodium flushing to wring out that excess water, and only after my reverse taper out will I be safe to eat a cheat meal without risk of over bloating and puffing up for days.

Is this true or is this BS?

Aqua 10 Ultra did a good job mapping initially but my rugs were wonky. It didn’t detect the edges very well and would struggle to clean edges of different carpets (would kick high suction on when on hard floor bc it thought it was on carpet edge etc)

So I deleted the rugs and added them in manually. It worked, but the robot still struggled because I didn’t have the manually added rugs placed perfectly so it was just navigating off the saved map and not actually detecting the rug itself real time.

So, I deleted those and ran vacuum cycles for each room or even did zone cleaning over the rug area and it will not recognize the rugs. I’ve reset the robot and still nothing.

Please don’t tell me I have to completely remap the entire house to get it to recognize carpets on its own?
