Why did Oda show an admiral going toe to toe with a yonko and have them both be completely put out of the fight at the same time if he intends for the admirals to be bums who get mid diffed by yonkos. Is Oda a stupid admiraltard?

Why did Oda show an admiral going toe to toe with a yonko and have them both be completely put out of the fight at the same time if he intends for the admirals to be bums who get mid diffed by yonkos. Is Oda a stupid admiraltard?

I mean MAYBE he intends for admirals and yonkos to be on a very similar level but that would be crazy! All we have to support that is all the times admirals and yonkos were compared to each other

and how everytime they fight they tend to be even but that’s crazy stupid admiraltard logic

Teklovossen SAGE Advice Question

I was thinking of buying this deck but I wanted to ask some advice on it

- how does the game plan work
- how good do you think the deck is (is it at least half decent)
- is the deck any fun or not even worth it

Any decklist or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Why would Oda continue to call Old Whitebeard the world’s strongest man and pirate. Doesn’t he know he can’t use any adv haki and gets mid diffed by every other Yonko? Is he dumb

I mean obviously marinford WB was at least 3 days off his meds and haki wasn’t a fleshed out concept during marineford however I’m pretty sure he meant for WB to be a haki less bum

Anniversary Edition UK Tip Request

Hey yall, I’ve recently gotten into axis and allies and I’ve been playing a lot of Japan because I love boats and they are definitely my fav axis power to play

However recently I started playing more allies and I wanted to have a “allies main” like I have my axis main which is Japan

I dont wanna play Russia because how land locked they are and I tried the US but they are a bit too passive (I might be playing them wrong) so I decided I wanted to get good at the UK and main them for the allies

I’m curious if anyone has any good UK tips like opening moves or weaknesses/strengths to keep in mind or just general good UK tips

Thank you for any info you can provide!

Will Luffy and Boa ever be more then what they are now at the end of the series

Give the fact Roger had Rouge and a kid I feel like it’s not completely out of the water for maybe luffy to be shown to be with boa in SOME sort of capacity

Obviously I don’t think they will be married normally living peacefully on an island or sm but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is something there at the end of the series

(I can’t wait for all the “no luffy is married to meat” comments, very funny and original)

Hot Take: Recency bias and scaling specific moves in fights are the two biggest issues that causes shit powerscaling takes

When people scale characters by how they interpret how much damage a single attack might have done or how well someone blocked something or how fast a character moved is the most ass way to scale because it’s so opinionated and people often ignore narrative to make there power scaling takes

Imu runs the gauntlet, where does he stop (no heals, back to back)

Round 1: Zoro and Sanji

Round 2: Loki

Round 3: luffy

Round 4: old Gaban

Where do yall think

u/Neat_Damage_8110 — 12 days ago

So herald fought 120 giant warriors, shanks, and Gaban, then regained his senses to let Loki beat the breaks off him and kill him, but I’m supposed to believe this means Loki is stronger?

“He regenerates so his previous battles don’t matter” he regens damage, not stamina so he would still be weaker

“Loki beat the breaks off him while he was still under imu control” Loki first hit torn his arm which had the covinent and after that we literally never see herald purposely move other then getting smacked around

Loki > Herald is just something people say to hype of Loki because every new character has to be stronger then every old character in there small Shonen brains

Why does Oda call old Whitebeard the WSM 15 times, doesn’t he know he gets low diffed by every other Yonko, is he dumb

Maybe he’s calling him the WSM because he’s the WSM 🧐

u/Neat_Damage_8110 — 12 days ago

Cold Take: narrative is much more important to scaling then feats and most bad powerscaling takes are the results of people putting too much importance in feats

Figuring out what the author intends is more important then trying to interpret how a fight goes

u/Neat_Damage_8110 — 13 days ago

What cope/chances exist for the story being finished in a satisfying way

What are the chances he finishes the books or gives really good outlines to a writer he trust or sm like that. Literally anything

u/Neat_Damage_8110 — 19 days ago

Hot Take Prediction: Akainu will become stronger then every current yonko power level other then maybe shanks and will be high yonko level at the very least

I don’t know why people expect him to do very little, he’s the fleet admiral, killed luffys brother, and oda said he would end the series in a year if he was the main character. He’s obviously going to be one of the major final villains with imu, bb, maybe shamrock

He’s the head of the marine faction, and I don’t wanna hear people say “no it’s Kong” I honestly doubt we see that dude do anything expect maybe aura farm on some fodder during the final war

My Yonko Ratings

  1. Oldbeard: was stated to be the world’s strongest man 15 times, a lot of narrative pointing to it. People discredit him since his major fight was before oda even fully knew what Haki would become and during Marineford which is full of super wonky scaling

  2. Shanks: feats and narrative put him very high and he’s being set up to do a lot, I suspect he will surpass oldbeard next time we see him

  3. Kaido: amazing feats, lost to Luffy who had tons of help

  4. Big ma: shown to be very relative to kaido and fought him equally for 3 days. However none of the story points to her being stronger

  5. Luffy: amazing strength but 5 min timer hurts him a lot, he beat kaido with help

  6. Blackbeard: has pretty shit feats so far, him and luffy will definitely hit the top of the charts soon but currently nothing of what he’s shown puts him higher

  7. Buggy: instant wins against any slashing opponent but that’s about it

The only tiers you need when powerscaling (imo)

  1. Fodder tier: self explanatory

  2. Headliner Tier: this is for fodder who have names or fodder that lead other fodder like axe hand morgan or some random marine with a devil fruit that gives a straw hat trouble until luffy one taps them

  3. Tobi Roppo Tier: for people who are definitely above the first two tiers but not commander level. Basically most of the strawhats

  4. Yonko Commander Tier: this tier can be subdivided from YC3-YC1, basically for yonko commanders and people who can match them like the seraphim or holy knights

  5. Yonko Commander + Tier: I would lowkey wanna rename this tier to PsudoYonko but whatever. Basically for people who can fight against yonko level people for extended periods of time and are definitely above yonko commanders. Examples are Sabo, Yamato, law, kidd

  6. Yonko tier: this tier can be subdivided into low-mid-high Yonko tier, since most powerscaling convos center around people in this tier. This tier fits characters like, the Yonkos, the gorosi, the admiral’s and other like Mihawk and dragon possibly

  7. Pirate King Tier: for people who were shown to be a tier above the modern Yonkos, or old people who are shown to be able to throw down with Yonkos in there old age. Examples include Roger, prime Garp, primebeard, rocks, herald

  8. Void Tier: this tier has gone by other names like god tier or pk+ tier, but I like this name the most, this is for people who are clearly shown to be above every character we have seen. Current only imu is in this tier but joyboy and davy will most definitely be here too

What do yall think of it

Why do people hate Gear 5

I personally like gear 5 but wanted to hear why people didn’t like it

I liked gear 4 but I definitely didn’t want it to be luffys final form since it seems too edgy for him and just didn’t look like luffy enough due to the shape of the body. I also like the new abilities like turning the environment to rubber and toon force can be fun sometimes it does feel a bit much

I just really like the design too since white is a very dope color for the form and it looks a lot like luffy while still being different. I also think the time limit is a good way to not make Luffy too op as well

I don’t like how it’s a god fruit, I would have preferred it be a rubber fruit (idk how G5 would work as juts a rubber form tho) but overall I don’t think it’s too bad of an issue because I do think the idea of Nika is interesting and fun

Why do some people argue in this sub like they actually hate you

Why do some people immediately start insulting you or hating you for a take they disagree with, some people argue like I made fun of there mom but bro we are talking about one piece it ain’t that deep 😭

How to deal with kingmaking advice + Story

I play a lot of war games like different versions or risk and recently this game of thrones game. While I find them really fun, I feel like sometimes one player will just give up winning half way thru and just help someone else out the entire time. Or they will ally with someone early on and refuse to ever check them or attack them, not realizing

I had a game recently where two players (out of 4) allied at the start to check the winning player 3 early on. After the winning player 3 got checked, played 1 kept on attacking them and got a lot of points while player 2 was just kinda turtling in there land not attacking them. After a few turns, player 1 was getting close to winning and player 2 just refused to attack them since they were allies. Eventually player 1 was like 2 points away from winning (5/7) while most of us were at 2-3 points out of 7.

The game was 4 people and me and the other player pointed out to player 2 that if they didn’t check player 1 then they would win and we didn’t understand why player 2 didn’t even have a plan to win but continued to be there ally and player 2 said that they would wanna attack player 1 at this point but they have too many troops on there boarders now (something we were warning player 2 about the whole game)

I wanted to attack player 1 to help player 3 but because of how the boarders were set, i couldn’t do any real damage unless player 2 let me go thru there ports without a fight however they said they didn’t trust me to not attack them from the sea and refused to let me have it, and even OFFERED player 1 to have the port to protect it FOR THEM. Even tho that would basically let Player 1 have player 2 in the palm of there hand since they could easily take them down

Eventually player 1 kept on winning against player 3 while player 2 never tried helping and the game ended. While me and player 3 were pretty annoyed, we werent annoyed enough to make a deal of it after the game and quickly just moved on. And later talking with player 1, they told me just how surprised they were that player 2 gave them all the help and resources they wanted with almost nothing in exchange

Before someone ask, these players arent dating or anything or are closer then anyone else in the group. Player 2 is just not a very competitive or a person who would betray people in game so I think once they formed the alliance they just decided to keep that vow and didn’t care about winning.

I think this game was very fun (I played with the feast of crow expansion) but I realized like other similar games, it definitely relies on the players keeping each other in check and all trying to win, so if one player jusy doesnt care or gives up, it can easily feel super unbalanced

.How do you guys deal with kingmaking or prevent things like this from happening? I probably don’t plan to invite player 2 again to this specific game again (they definitely have more favorites games i still plan to play with them so I doubt they would care) and I definitely need to find competitive people who won’t just give up a win. Any advice for me?
