America's emergency oil supply is just 19 million barrels from its operational floor, and the world is about to lose its only remaining safety buffer against the Strait of Hormuz conflict

Keeping canned fruit in the fridge is revolutionizing my summer.

Need a refreshing treat but want to avoid overpaying for sugar slop? Buy some canned fruit (ideally the kind with no added sugar) and pop it in the fridge. This idea just dawned on me recently while I was rotating my cans. It's not something I normally would have thought about since cans live outside the fridge, but now I have very limited desire for ice cream, popsicles, etc that aren't good for me.

How to deal with money dysmorphia.

35M here, net worth of about 200k all things considered. I'm debt free, I'm on track for retirement, have a little in metals and a brokerage, have enough in savings to probably last me a year and get me a different car on top of it if I needed to, and have enough in my HSA to cover my out of pocket max 3x over. I still feel like I'm not doing well enough and have a significant amount of anxiety, and I'm not sure what to do about it.

Library site feedback/suggestion

I find it pretty difficult right now to browse the library on library.kiwix.org unless you know exactly what you're looking for and can search for it. Please give us options to sort based on brand new ZIMs as well as updates, and please also put the date of the most recent update in the ZIM's description box.

Marker sized bit holder?

I'm looking for a way to carry some 1/4" hex bits in a cylinder with about the same thickness as a sharpie. Does such a thing exist?

I work in lending and I continue to be amazed at just how materialistic people in this generation can be. Recently I saw an ad for countertop installation and the customers they used for their testimonial looked to be between 70 and 80. Immediately I thought to myself, these people are going to "enjoy their countertops" for maybe a decade and then pass, and then what's going to happen? Their home is just gonna get sold to someone who doesn't care about them, their successes, their lives, and all the countertops did was raise the home price for whoever comes next once the medical companies owned by private equity lay claim to the house and sell it. Every day I talk to boomers who are constantly chirping off about their successes during their previous working life, meanwhile their own families don't want to have anything to do with them until the inheritance comes up (if they have family at all), all the while they are still taking out 100k loans on RVs and pickup trucks and for what? So they can sit pretty in the driveway until they die? I just don't understand the psychology behind some of these people. Wouldn't it be like a million times more fulfilling to help your family and your neighbor if you have this kind of wealth to spare in your final years?

Recently I have been ordering a lot of papa johns due to a discount I get through my work, and I am happy to say that it's way better than pizza hut or dominos. However, I have noticed that the crust doesn't crisp up super well after the initial bake. Part of me wonders if steam buildup in the box softens the crisp, but I have noticed that if I oil and preheat my pan and bake at 350F for an additional 15 minutes, the crust crisps up very nicely. I'm starting to think maybe the ovens need to bake the pizzas longer. This is NOT a complaint as I don't think anything is "wrong", more of a suggestion, and I'm just wondering if this outcome is noticeable to others, Thoughts?
