Had this tree taken down as had many limbs dying, holes in bark and two ice storms a year apart about did it in. Had a company come in with lift and cut it down to stump. I had them take as far as had to and left the last 6-8FT section and cut at stump and felled. This is the piece I want to work with. I was thinking get made into like some 2X12 or larger perhaps. I have a stand I would like to make a table top for. Either one large board or a few smaller ones. Thinking leave the bark on the outer edges of table and boards. The logs have been drying sense spring but rained a ton here this summer. I think loading/ hauling this wet would be a headache so seems let dry but not sure if there is an ideal window. Even small logs of this had so much water after cut they were quite heavy.

I think was on a horse when fairly young though don't remember but was picture of, but teens to late 20s stories I'd heard I thought those that rode them kind of had a death wish. A couple coworkers kept mentioning trail rides I just said they scare me, (I was curious though too). Covid era I think all that mess I also told myself people drive every day most dangerous thing you do but nobody thinks about. Decided to at least try a ride then could say at least tried.

Set up a ride that ended up having to get postponed or canceled, I debated just say cancel but something told me just do it or regret it. First ride I held the saddle horn till near the end when horse sped up slightly. I did that it felt like flying and fear went away. Then wanted to try again maybe ride and take pictures, ride in river. Then heard about trot, canter, etc wanted to try did lessons. Eventually rode in a parade, horse camped, rode in a couple shows, clinics.

I ended up changing where I ride a couple times in they wanted me to try this horse that is near 17 hand tall. I rode some draft cross before that was big but this one at first was kind of intimidating but was more just realizing how far down if fell off. He ended up like my best friend he knows I'm around usually he will come right up to me. I had another horse surprise me rode a few times then didn't see for a year saw again and he set his head on my shoulder when was brushing him.

I'm now helping out with a horse that has some minor but frustrating bad habits that need correction. And not good if just want to go with one horse on a trail ride. I got some improvement seems make good ground once day next time it's better but next time some old habits come back too. I think be neat in hopefully a year or so maybe try in some shows if can get it sorted out. I think most the training is there already it just likes to try and get away with stuff if it can.

Got this tester on ebay cheap as was not tested. It seems it turns on, the first test for shorts seems to work but the rest of them I have yet to get a reading on a tube on the meter unless the tube is a category that requires the "special" test mode to be used then I get some reading. I thought maybe that three position switch was corroded tried it last night tested with DMM and could only get high resistance readings, though I was also unsure what terminals were what on the switch but thought I tried every possible combination. Today it seems fine. The resistors and cap all seem to be in spec to what the schematic shows. The only thing I see off is the transformer taps seem to be a bit high, not sure if this is big deal or not. The lower couple were maybe .5V high then the rest seem to creep into about 1.25-2V above spec. I am wondering being old if this is expecting 110V in not 120V, my power is also usually kind of high at like 122-124V. I have variacs and things so should I be running this on like 110V?

The manual seems decent while i know tubes take time to warm up how long do you wait before just say a tube is bad or there is issue with the tester? A minute or two I have tried and make sense, 5 minutes or more seems kind of a lot. Everything I see the tester seems fine otherwise, or are there junk tube testers that are just not good for much to start with, I had heard of this brand on other things so it seemed like a good chance but maybe it was a different company with same name.

I don't recall noticing this issue before I just changed the blades removed the old damaged high lift blades, for mulching blades as I don't bag. I fixed a bent blade brake on the deck too. Tried it out seemed to work a lot better as far as mowing. A few times going down hill it would try and stall, i think was maybe seat sensor issue. I ran around seemed no other issue, I took back by garage thinking maybe low on gas but didn't think it should be. It had about 3/4 tank full but was bulging I opened the cap and it vented. I tried mowed another spot maybe 10 minutes and same thing. The cap don't seem to have a vent so I assume it vents to the air intake via hose which looks fine. Short of engine blowing air back besides heat I don't get this behavior.

I can't imagine the blades making a difference though felt like it was no longer fighting with the messed up blades and blade brake. It seems a high lift blade would be more load on it but I don't see why a mower engine would care what blade it has to power it just use more power/ fuel or the reverse. I suspect these issues are just timing and not related.
