Is the price too high on this 2012 Ford Fusion SEL, 117k miles, $5,999?

This is the 2.5L 4 cyl engine.

I'm looking for a daily commuter for my son's new college commute, which will be about 60 miles/day. I realize this isn't the most fuel efficient option, but in this price range I'm finding much older Toyotas/Hondas with a lot more miles.

I'm wondering if the reliability/longevity of this car would make up for the lower fuel economy.

Looking at a 2017 Kia Cadenza Premium with 162k miles for $3-$4k, thoughts?

Assuming maintenance has been kept up on this car, is this still too many miles to consider buying this car? Anyone have any experience or recommendations?

I pulled an autocheck report and it looks like all oil changes were on time.

2010 Ford Fusion hybrid, 113k miles, $3,800. Would this be a good option for my son to commute to college, about 60 miles/day?

2018 Ford Focus S with 58K miles and rebuilt automatic transmission. Should I consider buying, and at what price?

The transmission was rebuilt one year ago at a Ford dealership. I'm not sure if I should be concerned, or consider it a plus that it has already been repaired. This is a local government fleet auction. The listing states, "Town Maintained, Overall nice shape, has a minor transmission shutter (once in a while) from acceleration".

2013 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring, 144k miles

Hello. I'm looking at Avalon hybrids for sale. I found a one-owner 2013 hybrid XLE Touring for sale, Carfax shows one owner with dealer service history. The interior also looks very well maintained. It has 144k miles and dealer is asking $12k for it. That seems like a lot, especially if the hybrid batteries will need to be replaced soon.

Any advice on what I should look for/expect with this car, the asking price, experience with this model?

Thank you in advance.
